    You could've done a nice filework on the lower, motionless part of the spring, it would make this knife look so much better!
    Also, washers under future pin heads (maybe brass washers, to make it look better?) would prevent wood cracking when pins are hammered. Counter-sink the washers beforehand, in a slightly drilled steel plate.

      Hey, I was going for a minimalistic look, so no ornamentation and cleanly sanded pins directly into the wood. Washers could work, though.

    Nice hand work, and I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea for the sharpener.
    I love your drill press.
    My one critique is that unless you WANT the knife to be able to open at a right-angle to the handle, why not just make the base semicircular rather than square?

      Thanks! Thanks actually did the right angle snapping on purpose. I don’t like it when the knife suddenly starts to close at a random angle. I think it’s more controlled like that.
