When Chip changed his flow, it’s cos he was using D Double E’s flow to talk about the other people who are on the fence in this beef. D Double E was in the Ghetts video in a cameo. It’s why he was using his flow.

The "Woi" scheme that you showed feels more like what I personally call the "doves ad-lib", which he uses in "Flowers" too towards the end, which IMO just emphasizes the fact that he's killing not only the record but Stormzy too (as we know, doves are sometimes released at funerals, etc, not used as a sign of peace in this instance)... So what's crazy to me is the fact that he's actually mocking it in a way that he's shredding Stormzy in the verses AS WELL as the backing tracks (ad-libs, etc)... It blows my mind 🔥🔥

I would say this is Grime... Drill and Grime beats largely interchangable - 140BPM. The flow, style and lyrical approach make it GRIME through and through, that's why at moments it sounds off beat to some... rhyming in pockets Hip Hop ears can't hear, just like Drake's GRIME flow! ...or D Double... or Ghetts... or Jammer... or Manga and Maxster.
Modern Drill may be Grime influenced, but this is not Grime. Maybe a hybrid at best because of Chip's foundation, but this is clearly Drill.
With these 808s there is no way this is grime beat

Grime is a culture and a feeling, not a beat... MCs rhymed over skippy riddims, bashment sounding riddims, Dub Step riddims, H & G riddims and riddims like this. Jay Z's Song Cry doesn't make him a soul singer, Jay Z's lyrical approach makes it a Hip Hop song. Busta Rhymes doing Make It Clap with Sean Paul doesn't make him a Dancehall Artist. I am an Original Grime Kid... I was in the 'Last Man Standing' raves and 'Eskimo Dance' and Ministry and The Colosseum, stuff you have to google I was there front row.

You are one of my favourite US reactors, you're very knowledgeable about the UK scene here, but unfortunately in this one, you're so concerned with Chip's different flows that you weren't really concentrating on what he was saying. This is an absolute masterpiece for a diss. You don't always have to understand the flow, especially when you're getting frustrated by it, but it is important what he is saying here... it took you about 3 attempts to hear the booby-trap bar...... Aside from that I do love your reactions, I just wish you would listen to this one again, just för the lyrics. xx

You seem to know a lot about music which is what had me so baffed when you said drake was off beat in that just cos of a bit of syncopation
Because prior to that segment of the song, he was not rhyming on the hi hats. Abruptly switching made him sound off. And as I said here, if you're going to do that, then drop the instruments that conflict with the flow you're going for. If I have to mentally commit to focusing on a different set of instruments to make sure you don't sound off, then you're not making music with the listener in mind.

I know what Grime is. This beat itself is just a bit ambiguous and even his flow isn't something I think a lot people would immediately consider Grime on first listen. UK Drill draws influences from Grime, especially with the 808s and BPM, but a lot of artists and producers have also started creating hybrid sounds that are blurring lines.
