Chip is probably the best at pointing out inconsistencies in people’s character and behaviour. The “hypocrisy” as you said, which to me is much more of a “diss” in the truest sense, when compared to your regular threats of violence or exposing private secrets.

NYC, Canada and the UK have A LOT in common as they were the 3 main locations that Caribbean migrants immigrated to in the 1960s, I believe. That's where the common thread lies and why I was able to adapt so well. I'm grateful for your support!
