To clarify, in case it isn't clear to people who don't know me watching this video; as I gather there may have been some confusion… I chose to purchase and pay for a course that I took to study Astrology; the course was made and hosted by another creator and qualified Astrologer. I don't currently and haven’t ever offered any courses and as I mentioned if I ever did, I wouldn't feel comfortable charging thousands like some of the 'pyramid scheme' - similar types of courses that I refer to, where the creators have hosted webinars and actively encouraged ppl to go into debt to take courses that cost thousands of pounds (plural), and the rhetoric of the ppl offering these courses seems to be "it's okay for you to go into debt for this course, because your experience is priceless and this will teach you how to market it to others; and ppl will pay you thousands for that experience and knowledge, so yes go into debt in this course and you can earn it back when you then go ahead and charge others thousands for your course"...That to me feels unethical. I said if people are charging thousands (plural) for courses with information that can be found in a book or else where for significantly less and are actively encouraging ppl to go into DEBT to take the course that is a red flag. Maybe for some people, certain pyramid schemes (scheme not scam) or courses worth thousands are worth it to ppl who have the money but I am speaking to dangers within marketing to the community.but also as I say; people can decide for themselves what is worth it for them and for their budget. I also say the astrology course that I purchased and studied from was right for me as a student and cost me close to £1000 but if you research most full astrology courses cost similarly. It is so interesting to me to hear how creators have responded to this tag, especially around both authenticity and the algorithm. My partner is an artist, and he has developed a very thick skin over the years. He makes the art he wants to make and what he is proud of, he feels has meaningful and he enjoys. Hopefully others do to, but if they don’t…he really does not give two hoots! Somehow it has worked for him! I think it is similar with RUclips content. I think creators are pretty brave really - I’d be far too scared to put myself out there…curated or not! I made a comment the other day on Tarot Shrink’s channel - we really need to find a way to beat the algorithm and find and support the little gem channels! Really enjoy your content. Blessings 💖

Hi Emily, I really enjoyed your thoughtful responses and resonated with them all. Absolutely yes to more kindness, mutual respect and grace 💜 In the past I was a bit hesitant to comment on people's videos, because I would feel like I wasn't adding to anything by just saying that I enjoyed the video, or something along those lines. Especially if it's by a larger channel, there would already be tons of similar comments anyways. I wanted to say something only if I felt like I actually had something to say. But in more recent times I realize the channel size doesn't matter, because at the end of the day there is still a person behind the videos and if I truly enjoyed something, it really doesn't hurt to let them know. So now I also try to comment more, regardless of the following. I am a big believer in the peace and kindness mentality that you mentioned 😊 Thanks for this wonderful video and sharing your thoughts on these topics ✨️

The nice girl thing….personally I’m proud that that is my identity and that I’m a kind girl. I always follow this approach, “You do you, and I will do me”. If someone is unkind, I watch who they are, but they are not going to drag me down to their level. I know who I am - my strengths and weaknesses. I’m not going to retaliate. I point out what they have done, calmly, then disengage.
Yes absolutely; as I said kindness is king. I will keep being kind and genuine but reserve my energy for those who are equally as respectful. Disengaging is a great word for it 👍
