As a witch for over 20 years my best advice is-If you're tired or sick, don't do it. As a beginner witch I often forced myself to do spells and rituals when I didn't feel well or was exhausted and I always felt worse afterwards. If you're feeling rough, put that spell off for another day or forget the full moon ritual and curl up with a book instead. Self-care is a ritual in itself.
Its ok to mess up, everyone messes up at some point! Just make sure you do enough reserch and reading, if you're trying to do a protection spell then you should work on reading about that topic! Just do your best to learn but never forget to take the time to relax. It's important to have a little break here and there^^ Take care my friend, don't stress it! -ur frendo.
Likewise, not claiming to be an expert - even many years in my practice is constantly evolving - but things I would tell my seventeen year old self if I could: 1. Don't be afraid of the quiet patches - there's times when the powers that be, your deities / energies / however you frame them seem to be intense as f**k, and others where you're getting nothing. They haven't deserted you, things aren't always loud and showy. Learning to hear the silence, sit with yourself, reflect is spiritual practice too. 2. You don't need the trappings - are there beautiful tools out there, hell yes. Do you need to survive on toast so you can buy them all, no. I've seen people's lovingly found driftwood stick channel more energy than a fancy-pants carved wand. Use what calls to you, not what you think you should. 3. Don't be afraid of going with your gut - much of the literature I read when first starting out was Wiccan, it was more widely available. Cunningham, De Grandis, Anderson, Eason, Farrar, Green, Beth...all solid authors. I still own books by them and and the language and passion is still something I take from them. Did my gut sit completely comfortably with the structure of Wicca...not really. I love seeing how kitchen / green / folk practices are so much easier to find resources on now, but back then I sometimes thought I was at fault for feeling like I didn't quite fit the mould. Your practice is intensely personal. Trust your gut if it tells you to keep looking, you'll find what fits. 4. Deities don't mind when you wobble - you're a work in progress! I've fallen in and out of the broom-closet so many times over the years, I've freaked out, backed off, returned to church attendance because it was "easier" for other people to accept that sort of faith (I was raised Catholic). All of which was viewed by my personal deities in the energy of what I can only describe as an exasperated but loving raised eyebrow. Its only now, not far from hitting forty, that I've finally reached openly proud and steady practice. Neither of my deities are of the easy variety and both seem to view dark night of the soul sort of wobbling as something of a rite of passage. No deity is going to slam the door in your face just because you needed to work through shit before committing. 5. Speaking of deities, it doesn't always have to be a full pantheon of the same tradition. My female deity is Celtic (Irish line) and my male deity is Norse. (Which eventually made perfect sense as it turns out that while my paternal line is of Irish origin, we descend from Dublin Viking settlers - I honestly didn't see that coming, lol). Go with what calls to you. And if that means working with general energies not specific deities, that's fine too! (Damn, that turned into a mini essay...sorry guys!)
Thank you for this comment tho I've only been practicing for a few months and only just recently learned about deities so this definitely made it a bit more clear:)
The 1 and 4 ones are so true. There will be times in life that are just extremely mundane, and periods when magic is on your mind and in your everyday life 24/7. The slumps are ok. Necessary even, if you ask me. It’s healthy to get some rest sometimes, even from the really good things. And, like you, I had a few years when I lost my way due to some seriously destructive relationships in my early adulthood. When I came back I was nervous about astral journeying and calling the goddess whom have been like a mother to me all my life. I was scared she wouldn’t be very happy with me and maybe even have abandoned me. She hadn’t. In fact, she met me with open arms and a big smile and told me ”Oh you silly goose, I was here all along and I knew you’d come back. I’ve missed you.” Like any good mother!
Thanks for sharing this! I agree! It’s a lot easier to find information nowadays than before. Almost every single book was based on Wicca. I remember being a young teen going to the bookstore to copy information from those books because I couldn’t possibly come home with one. Lol 😂
Thank you. Honestly, I was afraid that my deities won't work with me because that I was stumbling and clumsy. I was so excited, that I literally jumped head first in open sea (don't recommend, please study first). I wish I could have studied first and learned more. Do I regret it, absolutely not. I first started this with curiosity and a slight hunger for something positive in my life, now after a couple weeks later, I'm having fun. Learning and growing everyday. 😊
Olivia: "You should be reading and learning about things that contradict your current morals and beliefs." Me contemplating buying a book on reincarnation: "Can she . . . see me??!!!!"
this is also so true when it comes to many other things, like politics. so many people like to get their info from just one source because they hear what they already believe, and are more comfortable with that than hearing contradicting opinions.

As someone who was raised as a Pentecostal Christian, I need to say that the witch community is completely different from what I was taught to believe. This community is so much more kind and helpful. The amount of understanding here is crazy. My family wouldn't even consider learning about other christian religions. I love it here! Also thank you for the video it is amazing
I literally just watched a video on an interview with a witch and everyone in the comments was slamming this poor girl in the ground because she practiced witchcraft. They said that she was a living sin and needed to die,
That's bc people like to pick and pull what they believe. It's rather annoying and gives others of the same religion a bad rep. My friend group consists of a few Christian people and they know and accept what I do. Others are just not the same
You are being deceived. The Bible says so much about witchcraft and why we should stay away from it - You know this if you grew up in a Christian household. A witch shall surely be put to death. I pray that God gives you the discernment to realize what you are doing is an abomination to him, and leads you back home before it’s too late.
Witch craft shouldn’t scare you but shouldn’t be something you practice unless you want to fracture your soul into fragments open gates of hell and portals for demons to travel...
@@laylalightwood7751 The devil is known as the father of lies (he's against God-whom everyone seems to agree with is Love, Trust, Creator, etc) .....so, looking at the odds, Johnny is right and it is *you* that has been lied to about witchcraft.
livewireOr Witchcraft has absolutely nothing to do with the devil, God or church in the first place. It's not related whatsoever. Many witch (not all, as some do) don't believe in God in the first place. Witchcraft is a practice that deals with energies and nature. It's giving yourself a little nudge, some luck or protection or love. You still have to put effort in. Why would witches "souls be fractured into fragments, open gates of hell and portals for demons to travel"? Many witches, since they craft is strongly connected to it, care deeply about nature. They take better of it then many Christians and yet the Earth is God's creation. Why would people who are doing good (or just minding their own business and no effecting anyone) be sent to Hell, just like that? The whole reason witches are strongly associated with the devil when they have nothing to do with them at all, is because the Catholic Church (before it began to split) blamed everything they didn't understand on witches. Woman dies after seeming perfectly fine the day before? A witch must have cursed her!! (when in reality she died of a heart attack).
Advice for beginning witches- look at local plants, animals, rocks and stores. Its good to know the kinda stuff you can find locally, and later on if you decide to purchase items, then youll know where you can go to find the items you search for.

I feel this comment so much right now, I finally decided to do what my gut told me. That is getting more information about being a witch, but I am now overwhelmed with all of the information and it kinda blocked me in actually starting😅

If you want to make an altar (regardless if it's for a deity, ancestors, or otherwise) you shouldn't feel the need to drop $$$ for it because thrift shops and dollar stores are your friends! Example: to honor my deities I'd go to thrift shops and find certain teacups I felt reminded me of said deity and this also helped me hide my worship in plain sight when I was a closet witch.
its best to think of it like "you dont get all your clothes from expensive shops like "Louis Vuitton" some go to shops like Goodwill, or second hand stores, what works is what works, its okay to not spend thousands of bucks on like two shirts, so why spend thousands of bucks on witchy products when you have the dollar store and thrift stores and such? like get what you like" lol thats my rant XD
From an elder here, I’d like to say I think you did a really great job on this & you’ve gained yourself a new sub. It was magical how I found your channel so after watching this I feel the ancestors would like me to stick around. Loved #10 abt not taking yourself too seriously. This is key. Back in 1991 when I 1st started my practice I was doing some candle magic on a makeshift altar in the apartment I lived in as a single mum w/my two young daughters (ages 4 & 5, now 34 & 35). In the middle of the spell w/both my daughters participating, one of them farted & of course they both giggled then they were concerned they “messed up.” I told them that the Goddess(es) loves & blesses all things even farts so it’s perfectly ok to do so; I did suggest they quietly say “pardon me” for having farted but hey no harm no foul. That one actually made me lol, say right on, & yep I’m subbing! Keep on keeping on. Thnx for the content sister.🌀

Living in a hard core Roman catholic community, I have always been drawn to witchcraft. Nothing dark, just helping those around me... in nature, in my home or in my heart. I truly appreciate your videos!
I wouldn't be surprised since the Catholic Church has some very not Bible teachings that resemble witchcraft i.e. praying with beads to chantings of Hail Mary and indulgences for the dead. Many are being deceived so beware.I will pray for your eyes to all be open. Demons may enter many to control them unfortunately.
Here is a personal tip: Do, or at the very least - research - Shadow Work. Work on yourself! Intentions come from our emotional guidance system and if you are unconscious of your hidden intentions you could start a spell and see it blow up in your face. Casting out of unconscious trauma is what I have heard termed as a blind spell. Your craft is essentially going to plug you into the universe and here is a truth that may help save some time - You are an extension of the universe. If you start to consciously contribute with the craft then you had best be ready to see yourself be changed by each spell and piece of knowledge you obtain. If you have any hope at navigating the energy that creates worlds consciously - you had best know yourself as deeply as you can. My first intentional protection spell I summoned nature - as a whole. YUP, and did she answer YUUUUUUPPPP!!!!! swarms of biting insects protected me and my home. At first, I was like this AMAZING and then I was like THIS IS TERRRIFYINNGGG AND OVER JUICED!!! I was so afraid of my circumstances I channeled all that fear into a spell that I ended up having to undo because I entered into it blindly. Always listen to your deeper truths. The best way to decipher this chaotic wild and beautiful universe is to decipher the self. this way you can translate the symbology and not only have your foot in the nonphysical world but see where you walk it.
The advice I would add is if you have naturally come to a method of doing something and it works and is effective don't force yourself to do it the way someone else insists that it has to be done.
Lilian Brennan In all my years of being a green witch, I’ve never trusted anyone who insisted I do a spell or ritual their way. Always follow your intuition, your inner Goddess & ancestors etc. Teachers & books are useful but are best used as guidance when it comes down to the deets. Blessed be.🌀
Cleansing every DAY?! I cleanse, like, every time I clean my apartment. I tidy, dust, vacuum, mop, and then I cleanse. That’s maybe every other week. But... Every... Day?!?! -mind blown-
I grew up in a Christian household and it never sat right with me, even as a child. I've had a strong belief in the universe for the past 5 years instead of God. I stumbled upon wicca and witch craft this week and I feel extremely called to it. My favorite part about pagenism is how accepting we are of all different beliefs. It's such a respectful view to be open to all beliefs and having knowledge of all beliefs.
My BIGGEST tip? Your grimoire/book of shadows can be ANYTHING. Digital? Cool. A journal? Cool. A binder? COOL! AS long as you can write things down/fill it up in a way that makes you happy and you are connected to it's fine. I spent so long thinking I HAD to do it in a journal and now I have a binder I can take apart and rearrange and redo and it makes mes so much happier.
I’m doing my craft because me and my mother recently found out about our witchy bloodline. Also I always loved witches, the moon, animals and plants, spells, etc.

I was dating this guy for about a year until recently he left me because of my depression and anxiety, but when I was with him I completely fell out of my craft, my love for that kind of thing. Now that he's gone I've decided to move because its too emotional for me to stay in the place we shared, I love watching your videos because it inspires me to do what I love, and im ready to find my way back to my practice
Hey coffee bean. Sorry to hear of your recent unfortunate dating encounter. I don't know you or details of your situation obviously, and I'm not some kind of shrink or love guru nut job. But as I read your post I felt compelled to give you some words of encouragement (I hope :). First, I believe you're in the right place because I feel like Olivia is an amazing person. She radiates with positive energy, and seems like she has a heart as big and true blue as the Colorado sky. She is a huge inspiration in my life too. (The force is strong in that one :) Second, those who don't have depression anxiety do not understand. They somehow think it's something predictable and controllable. Like you're choosing to be depressed and feel physically and mentally exhausted making you want to hibernate away from the world. I've been asked "why can't you just snap out of it?". Well because it doesn't work that way! Far from it in fact. Many people aren't equipped to be in a relationship with someone who does suffer with it. And, if your partner couldn't love all of you including the "dark parts", well maybe you weren't with the right partner after all? Third, and the thing that struck me the most, was what you said about seemingly putting something you love to do on the back burner while you were together. Now, in retrospect do you think maybe you were trying to change who you are to be the person he thought you should be? I think that would be enough to depress and cause anxiety for anyone. Never let anyone dull your shine! Personally, I think you're on the right track by answering the goddess' call. Walk your path. Find what calls to your heart and soul. We each have our own individualized and personal journey to make. She'll be beside you where ever you feel lead to go. The path I walk in the craft helps me stay grounded and centered. I've been able to face my true self and find my inner strength. It helps me stand on my own and be a stronger, more powerful woman and boosts my self esteem. I hope this helps and blessed be my coven mate :)
Hi girl! That makes two of us. I too have stopped doing everything I love, including witchcraft, when I was with my boyfriend. I was mentally crushed when I broke up with him, but now, 6 months later, I have realized how lucky I am to survive it and to continue doing the things I love now. Stay strong, girl! You're doing well! ❤️❤️❤️
When in China a few years ago, I tried an innocuous-looking green bean dish on the hotel's breakfast buffet. I shoulda noticed the ceiling paint bubbling directly over the container... I thought of that as soon as the pancake recipe came up. :-)
These are some thing that I have learned over my years of study and practice 1. You don’t need to celebrate every single pagan holiday every year- you may want to but it’s not always practical to have a full on celebration for it especially if you’re going solo and potentially have memory issues it can be pretty hard to do that 2. You don’t need to worry about finding your deity or pantheon- when it’s time they’ll let you know and that experiences don’t people’s experiences with deities one general is personal just be open to it but don’t try to make it happen too fast 3. You can work with many pantheons if you wish- you don’t have to stick to just one, I’ve communicated with deities from the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian pantheons and certain members of each have helped me with various things since my beginnings 4. Seriously you don’t need all the fancy tools- find and make your own when you can if you want them with things that call out to you personally, they’ll often be more attuned to you that way 5. Things get weird and the deities are often not super serious all the time- seriously a lot of the deities love a good party and just joy and happiness and fun 6. As she said write things down- it really does help as you go through it and grow in your practice to look back on those things and maybe make notes in a different color in your notebook 7. Yes use two different books for writing things down- one you can make as pretty as you want the other you can add in little notes in the margins or whatever with like taking notes for school or whatever and it can be messy 8. Don’t be afraid to use technology to help with your craft- there are apps for helping identify local plants, there are tarot apps (I use the witches tarot), there are apps to help with stones, there are apps that you can use as a digital book of shadows (I have one called Wicca plus even though I’m not Wiccan it works for me and you can edit and add things to it and pictures), there’s apps to help you with moon phases, and just all sorts of witchy apps that can help you out don’t be afraid to use them okay
"Yes use two different books for writing things down- one you can make as pretty as you want the other you can add in little notes in the margins or whatever with like taking notes for school or whatever and it can be messy" I was thinking about this while watching the video, thank you for this.

I laughed when you said even spirits have a sense of humor. Because my ex's grandma's old house was haunted. There was something a bit freaky in there, but one time me and my ex's sister were talking in the kitchen when we suddenly heard a stereotypical "oooOoooOoo" out of nowhere. We both stopped talking, looked at each other wide eyed and ran out of the kitchen. But then we burst into laughter and told my ex what just happened.
I like the “spirits have a sense of humor too” Would you maybe make a video with tips or advice with overcoming fears with working with spirits? I’m still a bit too afraid to enter that realm but am so interested, so maybe ways of going about it respectfully and correctly, or what to do if something goes wrong? I hope that makes sense.. 🙈
Do you consider yourself to be a good person? Most people do. However, most of us differ as to the definition of "good." The Bible says that God is good, and the Ten Commandments are His standard of goodness. So, we will look at God's Law . . . With a tender conscience, ask yourself if you have obeyed the following: You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?) You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?) You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?) Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Honor your father and mother. You shall not murder. (God considers hatred to be as murder). You shall not commit adultery. ("Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" Matthew 5:27-28; this also includes sex before marriage). You shall not steal. (Have you ever stolen anything? the value of the item is irrelevant). You shall not lie. (Have you lied even once? Including answering these questions). You shall not covet. (Have you ever jealously desired what belongs to others?) The Bible says that God will punish all murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc. He will even judge our words and thoughts. On Judgment Day, will you be found to be guilty or innocent of breaking His commandments? Perhaps you think that God is good, and will therefore overlook your sins. But it is His goodness that will make sure that murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, etc. receive justice. He would be a corrupt Judge if He turned a blind eye to injustice. Have you kept the Commandments? The Bible says that the Law is perfect. It commands you to be perfect (Matthew 5:48). Are you perfect (in thought, word, and deed)? Will you make it to Heaven? You may say that you are still good, but God says you're not (see Psalm 14:2-3). So one of you is lying, and the Scriptures tell us that it is impossible for God to lie. Remember that all liars will be cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8). God's Law demands justice, and the penalty for sinning against Him is death and Hell. Listen carefully if you want to live. God Himself made a way where His justice and His goodness could meet. We broke the Law, but He became a man to pay the fine. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to satisfy the Law. God can forgive us and grant us the gift of everlasting life! But you may still think that you can (from now on) keep the Ten Commandments. But isn't it true that the best of us have lied, stolen, lusted, hated, failed to love God above all else, and failed to love our neighbor as ourselves? How can we then, live a "good" life if we have already sinned against God? At best we are reformed liars and thieves . . . but still Lawbreakers. Think of it this way - would you sell one of your eyes for a million dollars? Would you sell both for $50 million? I'm sure you wouldn't. Your eyes are priceless, yet they are merely the windows of your soul. What then must your life (soul) be worth? With these thoughts in mind, what would be a fair price to pay for everlasting life? It is utterly without price. Yet, if we trust in our own goodness to enter Heaven, we are saying to God, "I should enter Heaven because I have done good - I have earned my way in." Imagine if you wanted to give me a brand new (very expensive) car, but I said, "I can't take it! I feel embarrassed receiving such a gift . . . here's 10 cents for it." I'm sure you would be very insulted by such a pathetic offer of payment. Besides, if I pay for it, it is no longer a gift, it's a purchase . . . it's mine by right. When we talk of entering Heaven by being good, by trying to keep the Ten Commandments etc., we are tossing God 10 cents of "self-righteousness," which is a terrible insult to Him, in the light of His sacrifice. The only thing we can do is humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and receive the gift by trusting Jesus Christ alone. Almighty God demonstrated how much He loves you when Jesus suffered for you on the cross. If you want to trust in your own goodness, then you are saying His agonizing death on the cross was in vain. The Bible says, "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." You cannot earn a gift. When Jesus said to "believe" on Him, He was saying we should have faith in Him, in the same way you would trust a parachute to save you when you jump from a plane. You don't merely believe in the parachute - you put it on. Please don't "jump" without Jesus. If you die in your sins there is no second chance. God will give you justice, and you will end up in Hell forever. Any troubles you have at present are dwarfed by the trouble you are in with your Creator. His wrath abides upon you (John 3:36). God doesn't want you to go to Hell. Neither do you want to go there, so confess your sins to God right now, put your trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life. Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. (See John 14:21). Your obedience to God is the proof of your love. Have faith in God, He will never fail you. Pray something like this: "Dear God, today I turn away from all of my sins (name them). This day I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is the only way for me to be saved. He is 'The way, the truth, and the life.'" Please forgive me, change my heart, and grant me Your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

As a practitioner for 24 years, there are moments when I still feel like a newbie. And you know what, that's awesome because that keeps it fresh and keeps your perspective open. I absolutely agree with everything you said in this video. Awesome job! When it comes to using correspondences in spells the way I've taught people is picture yourself standing 30 feet away from a dartboard holding a dart, you could totally hit that dartboard...that's a spell with just intention. With practice, you could totally hit the bullseye with just your intention. Now, imagine each correspondence that aligns with your intention, allows you to step closer to the dartboard. Your chances of hitting that bullseye got better. Keep doing what you do, Olivia! I love it! As a point of confession, I'm terrible about #13- write everything down. LOL!

YES! All of our slava celebrations are leftover pagan traditions which were Christianized, Badnjak, so many other things. Religious practices are "witchcraft" that's been sanctioned by a church, but those of us who learn about the corrupted behaviors of church officials know that they're not real moral authorities at all. So we cant believe their interpretation as gospel, they're mere human beings and they're often quite problematic.
The more I learn about witchcraft the more I realize I've been doing it my whole life without knowing. Also I've been using myself as a battery and I am exhausted lol. Chanting/humming and symbols have always been my go-to so I want to work in herbs and crystals so I'm not always so drained. Upon learning about witchcraft and my connection with it, I better understand myself and my spiritual needs. I am going through a journey of self discovery and spirituality. My connection to the world and the place I choose to be in it. Recently I've been struggling with my religion, as what I was taught about my religion isn't exactly true. With this revelation I have been learning about the divide between what other people believe, what I believe, and the historical context that these beliefs are based on. Witchcraft has helped me feel a little more in control and feels like a refreshing break. I've been avoiding witchcraft because I wasn't sure what it was about, but I always felt connected to it. I'm glad I finally dipped my toes in. It really feels like something I've been doing all along. From wishing on dandelions, to making chants (what I now know are spells, like some of them even work!!), to dream divination (I've been doing this since I was five), and even using my own art to change my life around in ways I previously didn't understand. Some of these things I learned, some of these were innate. It's almost like I had deprived myself of water and now I'm lapping it up. I still find it hard sometimes but it feels natural.
I started off as having this as a 'cute aesthetic' but now I'm really getting into it and it honestly comes so natural to me. I've never wanted to do anything in my life more than I've wanted to from witchcraft. I'm a student and so when I say that I'd rather study all the deities in the world over studing US History I'm serious.
@@christisking4093 at least i can SEE what i believe in... have yall seen god? nope. so just let people be. as a former christian, i can assure you that god doesnt mind people who use herbs or connect with nature/stars/planets.
As a witch who has been honing his Craft for a little over twenty years and still has plenty to learn, I really appreciated this video. I think you've given some excellent advice. One thing I'd add to your fifth point ("Intention is important, but not everything") is that sometime, planning a magical working (my preferred term for spellwork) is that the process often clarifies one's intention, which makes for effective magic. Sometimes, the careful consideration of the working itself can lead to massive revisions of one's intention as one gains clarity about what one is ultimately trying to accomplish and possible alternatives to achieve it.
I did a love spell a few months ago, from (i think) ur channel, and forgot about it like the instructions said, ad now i am dating this amazing, sweet guy, and am SO happy
@@celinec.6213 Its not to control him. The spell i did was to attract someone too me. I didnt do it on a specific person, i simply did it in general. Its not controlling anyone
@@celinec.6213 A love spell is more like a call to those that suit the caster. Like a dating site, but w/o the people knowing about it. Kind of? This is how I see it at least.
I recently found out that I unknowingly manifested my best friend into my life. I drew a picture of her onto my arm with makeup months before I actually met her... I didn't even know why I drew on my arm, sometimes I just do that when I'm bored and I completely forgot about it until I found a picture I took of it. Recently I have actually been manifesting a lot of smaller things and it really got me interested in witchcraft and I think your Video was a good start thank you💕
Standing ovation for this whole vid. Coming back to all this after ~15 years of diving deep into the Christianity I was raised with. Hit my 40th birthday and was suddenly retracing the steps of when I was 20, only with much deeper understanding. This is all 100% on point. Well done.
As a seasoned practitioner and a year long subscriber.....I really appreciate your clear and reasonable experience-based advice. I would totally steer newbies to your channel (if they aren’t already in a study program). Thank you for your efforts in the pagan community. *edit: I love your last bit of advice! I was taught “don’t be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good”. Seriously, be present here and now.
After watching some witchy videos, I have realized that I have been a witch since being a part of the “witches club” in first grade! I have always given offerings to fairy folk and lit candles to bring focus. Tea, herbal infusions and concoctions are indeed one part magic and two parts science. Thank you for your sensible, beautiful videos
I’m a Christian baby witch that does white, healing magic, I follow Jesus/god but also supports all types of witches, except for the witches that wish to harm good people. But other that, I support all witches and I wish the best for them. Is that okay?
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. Deuteronomy 18:10-13
Wow you guys really hate me huh, my grandma is a extreme worshipper of god and she believes that as long as you are in gods name, he will forgive and understand.
For me, I started getting into all this as a way of reconnecting with my family traditions, but I'm literally a scientist. I may be an "applied" scientist, but that's still a scientist. So when I'm going through all this stuff I keep catching my self feeling silly because it's woo woo. I would have told myself to just vibe with it, don't try to classify it all using the paradigms we use in the natural sciences. It's like how classical physics with big stuff acts completely different than quantum physics with tiny junk, they're different paradigms. It's not "science" because you can't really replicate everything exactly the same or disprove things the same way, but that doesn't mean it's not real. Like, it doesn't have to be "factual" to be "real". Science has zero factual proof that a money bowl spell will do anything, but I did one and it worked/is working. A whole bunch of stuff like that has happened to me and I can debunk it and dismiss it as coincidence real easy, but if I do that it makes it less useful. Like, is this sigil on my notebook helping me concentrate because of magic or because it reminds me to get my junk done? It doesn't really matter, because at the end of the day, it works. So when you're first starting out you really got to be able to put aside rules that don't apply and stop trying to judge it by those rules. A soccer ref isn't in charge of a basketball game, and Magic is the basketball game. Also, fun fact, after I started getting into this stuff deeper and I finally started getting out of the broom closet with some of my other scientist friends it turned out that a bunch of them were into "woo woo" stuff too and was afraid to tell anyone because they didn't want to be judged. A geologist friend said there's no scientific way that crystals have special powers, but she loves crystal magic because they feel different to her and they make her happy. It turned out that the majority of my STEM friends were just waiting for the opportunity to talk about magic and were all about it and that my friends in fields that weren't attached to the sciences were less likely to be into it. So if any of yall find yourself saying "whats with all these ghosts, I'm a scientist dang it!" that might be why they're talking to you lol.
I don't get this thing with science vs. Meta-physical at all. I'm in science as well, I'm a med student. And I'm starting to get into witchcraft. I know plenty of people who are religious yet they're scientists. Science and religion or spiritualism aren't exclusive, they're two COMPLETELY different things. And that's excluding the fact that you don't even need to be religious or spiritual to practice witchcraft. I actually think most scientists are curious about the meta-physical. Seems like you've come to find out the same thing.
I completely understand what you mean! I've been hugely skeptical all my life and I am a scientist too (or at least, I want to be) but lately, I've been feeling a calling(?)IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT(????) to the more spiritual aspects of life. I always knew my mom had a spiritual connection and I'm getting a similar thing as well (like...we keep finding cards randomly. Doesn't matter the country. Usually, something happens right after and now I'm like MAAAAYBE the two are connected). Ok waffle over anyway yey science and woo woo stuff
Dear Olivia, I hope this note finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible inspiration you have been on my new path in Wicca. Your genuine spirit and authentic approach to the Craft have made a profound impact on me. The valuable information and insights you’ve shared have been a guiding light as I navigate this journey. Your willingness to share your knowledge and experiences has not only enriched my understanding but has also instilled in me a deeper appreciation for the beauty of our practice. Thank you for being such a wonderful mentor. I truly love your videos and look forward to learning and growing on this magical journey. With love and light, Be blessed!
i'm 18 and a baby witch and it's so relieving to know that the community is very open to helping others. i clearly have a lot to learn still, thank you so much
Well, to be specific, I’m not even a baby witch yet as I haven’t cast my very first spell. But I’m so obsessed with it, interactions with Apollo and Artemis, the feeling and dreams about Mother Nature embracing me, I mean like, it’s so freaking overwhelming. Currently I’m just starting to listen to the voice, focusing on my senses of spirituality, still looking forward for my first spell!!! ❤❤ and wanna thank you all gorgeous witches for the advices
People PLEASE stop bringing the bible in here, cuz no one has the same beliefs, so please respect that. Also, from what i've gathered so far about witchcraft (i'm a beginner at this) it's energy-based, mostly innofencive (depends on how you use it of course, there are evil witches and wizards out there). It is a belief just like yours, you believe in God, i believe in nature, the power of crystals, of the Moon and energy. Also, while you say we will go to hell, I'll let you remember that Jesus said to love everyone, and look at you: you're spreading hate, and your ancestors burned innocent people because of that hate. So please, if you want to be a good person, stop hating, stop believing that you're always right. Please.
I'm a "Christian" (raised in the word but starting to lean away after discovering I'm pansexual) and I find the craft really interesting!! I agree with you, just because you believe "Witches burn in hell" doesn't mean you need to spread negativity. In fact, from my research, it's against the Bible to hate people because of who they are as well!! Don't correct me if I'm wrong, any Christians reading this. I've never read a Bible in my life and don't plan to. Sorry not sorry! :)
I grew up in a very Christian society but let me tell you, in my culture so many people still believe in witch craft even after 333 years of Spanish colonization but they don't really call it witch craft here because it's mostly for warding off bad energy and illness so the term witch craft is for the evil kind of dabbling with magic. It's sad that they still believe witch craft is ALL "demonic" which is what they are brainwashed to believe but they ironically still sought out the help of healer witches lol
Honestly, as a Christian, I’ve never heard my parents talk about witchcraft, lol. Maybe some voodoo or something back in their country, but…yeah, nothing that would incite an internalized hatred towards the craft. 😅
Tip for fellow witches in the broom closet: If you have a bookshelf that is very deep, you can set up an alter in the back of the shelf and then put books in front of it when you aren't using it! This is what I do and it works great. The only downside is that it has to be rather small to fit.
around 8 months ago i started to get into witchcraft and spirituality. i've always been interested in witchcraft and spirituality ever since i was little. i liked reading, and i started to believe. i never said this out loud, because it sounded silly to me and i come from a pretty religious family, but i still believed anyway. so 8 months ago i started researching and doing small practices, i didn't remember why, but after 2-3 months i fell out of it. i guess i was too caught up with other stuff, and if i recall correctly i was also afraid it'd backfire. i didn't want to be caught by my family (i still live with them because my uni is in the same town). so i stopped doing practices until last october-november. i went through a hard time and spirituality was what helped me. it wasn't intentional, though. just like other people who had a hard time, i tried to find an answer, an explanation, anything to solve my problems. so i got tarot readings. did they solve my problems? not exactly, but they made me reflect. i did a lot of self-reflections, and recently i realized that i tried too hard to do things the same way other people do them instead of choosing to do them in a way that i'm comfortable with. i came in terms with that, and now here i am, trying to fall back in! this video makes me feel more confident in restarting and picking up things where i left it. at this point i'm just blabbering and what i say might not make sense but thank you so much for this. ❤
waldy I’m a very new witch (been one for a year) and from what I know, spells (particularly ones of malicious intent or meant to drive out negative things) can be done incorrectly or without proper safeguards and this can cause a “backfire” of sorts. For example, if you were doing a curse, but didn’t guard yourself and cleanse your space afterwards, you could end up receiving residual bad stuff from your curse. And your space could be tainted. I’m no expert at all though I’m 100% only in the research phase rn and the most spell work I’ve done is just a small spell an elder witch showed me to help my girlfriend calm down before doing something stressful and I’ve also done altars n such. So only small things. So yeah take my words with a grain of salt ^^
@@brolyx1316 hi! Thanks for reaching out, but I’m not experienced enough yet to feel comfortable doing spellwork for anything other than personal and household warding. I’m slowly working on more serious spells, but with witchcraft, the best thing to do is to learn about the plants animals and general world around you, medicinal properties of natural ingredients and why they work, magical properties of of those same things, the history of witchcraft, etc, then learn warding and protection, then small scale personal spells (ie prosperity, luck, etc.), and slowly build towards more intensive spells. This process should take a few years, in my opinion. I wish I was at a level of skill and knowledge to help you right now, but sadly, I’m not and the last thing I’d want to do is mistakenly bungle a spell and harm you or myself, as that’s an easy thing to do. I wish you the absolute best of luck, and I hope whatever is troubling you will resolve or stop troubling you. Remember, you are mighty, as we all are, and you can control how you perceive your world. You deserve to be happy and prosperous. Good luck!!
I'm still very new, but I did a spell about a month ago... It was a small spell bottle thing, for self-love. I did it, and I didn't feel any different, so I thought it didn't work. Then my mindset started changing, and I got some new clothes, and felt a lot more comfortable with myself. I saw the little bottle today, and I realized that it did work, and now I feel really proud of myself. I'm not going to be going crazy with spells and stuff, but I'm glad I didn't mess it up 🙃
How do you say you cringe at your first witchy video?!.. (I know why but that's not the point)... THAT was the video that got me hooked on your channel!.. * does a little dance * 🌙dude, you have grown SO much and we love it!! 💜
As someone who is still fresh in their craft, I have watched many Witchcraft 101 videos and yours is by far one of my favorites. I love that you emphasized our humanity in our craft and that we will make mistakes and how we can't take ourselves too seriously. One of the best pieces of advice in my opinion as I am someone who is naturally afraid of stepping outside the lines and making mistakes. We need to take it easy on ourselves. It's one of the best ways to love yourself is to give yourself permission to stumble as you learn to walk. Great video! Thank you for starting this 101 series.
On the "witches VS. Christians" I saw a prayer that was written on paper saying "protect my son and I from witchcraft" , I was like "Who's gonna tell them?"
Welcome to the journey, remember to take your time. You have your whole life to learn and do things. Don't get overwhelmed with it all. Enjoy your path!!
Exactly Draven Michael. Read everything you can get your hands on pertaining to witch craft, wicca, the occult and such. Fortunately there's the internet!! And as Olivia said, take notes and keep them journaled. (Pssst! That's a grimoire :) Educate yourself before worrying about casting a spell, or what kind of witch you want to be etc... Take a breath. My family has 3 generations of witches and I wouldn't say to take everything you say with a grain of salt. I've been watching your channel for a while now and I think you're doing a great job teaching. I'm 49 and all my kids are grown now. Three of them identify as witches, one as pagan. We've had plenty of years studying the Craft and passing down spells, practices, and rituals. You're doing great, don't give up teaching. The 2020 Witch census showed more of today's practicing witches are in your generation. They need you.

I want you to know you are extremely powerful. I felt like you were talking right to me. We share so much in common on the way we think. Thank you for helping me🌻
This is something I really needed to hear: I just started practicing magic, and a lot of what I'm confused about is the "right" or "wrong". Like, I made a strong connection with a walking stick I got a long time ago, and I decided to make it my atheme, but I can't find any source on whether that was acceptable or not.
Hi olivia, i’m a baby witch, i’ve been practicing witchcraft for about two years and i just wanted to say thank you!! As you probably know starting out in witchcraft can be very confusing at times and you have always helped and inspired me and you always made me feel safe watching your videos. thank you
I started on a Wiccan journey when I was a teen and I haven't been able to practice it at all due to my living situation. This video helped me to not be so difficult on myself in my journey, not to expect perfection and I want to thank you for that💛 I can't wait till I'm able to have my own altar and openly practice💛💛💛
So I desperately did a money/fortune spell out of desperation. I had a friend help me out one night because I needed help really bad. The day after I passed an exam that failed 5 times previously that I needed to pass for a job and then 30 mins later I got offered 2 jobs. I was in disbelief. I now make more money than I ever have before. There was so much energy going into it and the ingredients I used helped. I am So into this. I’m very excited.
I do rpe (religion philosophy and ethics) at school and the main premise is leaning about different contrasting beliefs and writing about them etc. I often have to speak from a Christian point of view even though I'm not Christian and honestly it is sooo important and interesting. Through learning about it I spotted things I didn't agree with which strengthened my own belief and I also saw strengths in there arguments and weaknesses in my own which helps me understand others beliefs . If more people did this without judgement even on a small individual level I think the world would be a much more accepting place.
The battery one makes sense! I usually, when I do witchcraft, feel SO tired and drained afterwards. Today I took time to do a cleansing thing, but spoke and listened and asked the world around me for help and felt completely fine afterwards!
Thank you so much for this video! I recently made the decision to explore this fascinating world, and I feel like it was a good decision. Almost instantly I felt a shift in my being as if I had been living out of sync with my core self, and this decision felt like a step towards merging with that core. I don't know if that makes sense. I guess it doesn't have to. Anyway. I am glad I found your channel early on. I really appreciate what you said about understanding opposing thoughts and beliefs, not getting too dogmatic about things, and how the "them vs us" thinking is dangerous. I admire your wisdom and confidence. ^_^
Merry meet. I saw you on The Green Witch and decided to check you out and I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed this video as I am a witch, but I feel I'm always still learning something new. I especially loved the part about being yourself as I am a Christian witch/lightworker. Most of my group accept me and understand my feelings and that witchcraft is a choice not a religion, but sometimes I come across people who cannot understand how I can be a Christian and practice witchcraft. Thank you for talking about these things. I'm definitely going to be watching more and subscribed so I can continue to learn more and see other perspectives for things I thought I already knew. Much love, blessed be 💜
Thank you for this video! Your insight is superb! I loved how you brought up the "us vs. them" argument and totally dismantled it. Your clear, concise speech, quality content, and success is exactly why I decided to take this path seriously. Ive always been interested and I have come to want more, more out of myself. Self-actualization brought me to realize I am a little witchy, and I want to fulfill my potential & create. One thing I would add here is this: to develop your psychic abilities, first master and pay attention to your reality and hone and take care care of the senses you already have. Then you will be capable of more. I hope this helps someone as this video has helped me! Such ego deflation to see someone further along the path than me, but this is how we all start. Thank you for the reminder and inspiration of my own potential.
I completely agree, you must understand what you don't agree with from a non-bias standpoint in order to grow and develop your practice. This principle also applies to everything in life. Thanks for sharing beauty 🖤🙏🏽
I wish so badly I had this advice when I started years ago. I had no idea about drawing energy, protection, or grounding and every spell made me incredibly lethargic or sick. This is great advice, solid.
Thanks so much this was really helpful. I totally agree with everything! The reason I practice is because I believe we can have a closer relationship to nature than we think, and I love all things plants, animals, rocks and literally anything in nature. I also love the community spirit of witchcraft. Please post some more about spells.
Thank you so much! I just found you channel and you’ve really helped me with this whole witchcraft thing. I’m 13 and I absolutely love doing but don’t really know what I’m doing so again thank you!
I have never found something that brought me comfort like the thought of being a witch does. I am trying to get connected with myself, and anchor myself back to earth by connecting to my spiritual side, if that even makes sense. I was raised to be catholic, and I have always naturally rejected the religion. Witchcraft feels like home in a way, I guess. I just do not even know where to start. Thank you for your advice, it was a helpful start :))

There are so many great tips both in the video and below! I've been practicing for 15+ years, and so when looking back on what could be most helpful, a game changer for me was working through "Energy Works" by Robert Bruce. It's a book that's filled from beginning to end with practical exercises to sensitize your body to energy. TL:DR? Just get the book and learn how to literally feel the energies we work with. :) Our bodies are our greatest tools, and with this religion-neutral book, you learn things like how to clear energy blocks, raise energy, store energy, etc. in a way that you just don't see in other teachings. If you do the exercises consistently, you will literally feel the energy pulsing in trees, crystals, even the ocean. It's hard to describe, but I'm not talking about the typical "feel the energy" lines you hear in meditations. I'm talking you don't just believe in this energy, you KNOW it's there because you can feel it just as easily as you can feel water going down your throat when you take a drink. Instead of visualizing my chakras clearing, I can do it in a more manual, deliberate, and effective way. With clearer chakras, I feel better emotionally and heal physically. I can tell if I properly charged my candle, for example, or if I need to center, focus more, and put more feeling in it. You can take a more methodical or scientific approach to your craft because you can tell right away where the energy is, its strength, etc. It's hard to describe the difference in words but, the best comparison I could think of is cooking an apple pie. I can give two people all the ingredients they need for an apple pie, and they both can make it. The only difference is the first person has no sense of smell or taste. The first person can see it looks like a pie, the pastry is fluffy like a pie to the touch, etc., but they won't know if they added too much salt, for example, or maybe the ratio of ingredients is off, so the pie is just ok, not great. That person's spell might get decent results, might not. They can submit it and hope for the best. The second person can use all the same ingredients, but they can actually taste and smell the pie. They know if something is off, maybe the milk was bad, maybe they overkneaded the dough, etc. That person can troubleshoot their spell for better results because they simply have more info to work with. So, that's my tip for you guys.
This is a really good video! I love that your tips go beyond the typical "you can do it if you really try" mentality of other channels. Could you do a video on how to overcome one's own scepticism? I am a young neuroscientist from an atheist family, and I have science and hard facts around me all day. Whenever I try to start getting into witchcraft, I can't help but feel silly. However I would love to have a spiritual side to my life, to contrast the cautious theoretical work that I do. How do I overcome that feeling of making a fool of myself?
Honestly, same! I like to call myself a sceptic believer and partially how I overcome that scepticism is to combine witchcraft and science. As an example; I like explaining some things with the placebo effect. Because I believe that it will work and help it does (that of course, only to a certain extent). Or I like to work with herbs and food in general; those have a lot of different correspondences in science and witchcraft; so if I do a satchel to sleep better at night, I put lavender into it because I know it has the right chemical properties as well. But in the end, I would try things out and just see how they feel. If you realise that some things don't work for you because you can't imagine them actually helping that's totally fine.
Hermine Granger I’m late to the party, but something Scott Cunningham said really struck with me (since I’m also a hard fact science sort of person). A long long time ago, magnets were thought to be controlled by magic that pushed and pulled the metals together. If you’ve never seen a magnet before, and there was no research on magnetic fields, you would have thought that it was nonsensical and made up. Witchcraft is the same. It works and is valid, but science just doesn’t have the explanation yet. Maybe one day there will be a quite simple explanation as to why it works, and the mystery will go away, but just because that day isn’t here, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. Blessed be and have a good time with your craft!

Likewise, not claiming to be an expert - even many years in my practice is constantly evolving - but things I would tell my seventeen year old self if I could:
I agree with this so much and I love it..!! 😍 Thanks for posting!

Ikr people Say omg witchcraft is worshipping the devil and you can only do curses!! it's so weird
Others are just not the same
That’s because stupid comes in so many personality types.
You are being deceived. The Bible says so much about witchcraft and why we should stay away from it - You know this if you grew up in a Christian household. A witch shall surely be put to death. I pray that God gives you the discernment to realize what you are doing is an abomination to him, and leads you back home before it’s too late.
Before the word “witch” scared me, now I’m openly embracing it and that’s just mind boggling to me, in the best possible way of course!
Witch craft shouldn’t scare you but shouldn’t be something you practice unless you want to fracture your soul into fragments open gates of hell and portals for demons to travel...
Johnny Boii Witchcraft doesn't have anyone to do with the devil. That's a lie created by the Church

Back in 1991 when I 1st started my practice I was doing some candle magic on a makeshift altar in the apartment I lived in as a single mum w/my two young daughters (ages 4 & 5, now 34 & 35). In the middle of the spell w/both my daughters participating, one of them farted & of course they both giggled then they were concerned they “messed up.”
I told them that the Goddess(es) loves & blesses all things even farts so it’s perfectly ok to do so; I did suggest they quietly say “pardon me” for having farted but hey no harm no foul. That one actually made me lol, say right on, & yep I’m subbing!

Conjure is a Southern Thing, and Chaotic Witch Aunt is Stregia so Faith and Practice are a mix.
Okay im just gonna comment something here so that i can find it later cus your tips looks interesting.
Luke Dylon ""yes" I like what you said about blind spells thanks
The advice I would add is if you have naturally come to a method of doing something and it works and is effective don't force yourself to do it the way someone else insists that it has to be done.
Lilian Brennan In all my years of being a green witch, I’ve never trusted anyone who insisted I do a spell or ritual their way. Always follow your intuition, your inner Goddess & ancestors etc. Teachers & books are useful but are best used as guidance when it comes down to the deets. Blessed be.🌀

These are some thing that I have learned over my years of study and practice
1. You don’t need to celebrate every single pagan holiday every year- you may want to but it’s not always practical to have a full on celebration for it especially if you’re going solo and potentially have memory issues it can be pretty hard to do that
2. You don’t need to worry about finding your deity or pantheon- when it’s time they’ll let you know and that experiences don’t people’s experiences with deities one general is personal just be open to it but don’t try to make it happen too fast
3. You can work with many pantheons if you wish- you don’t have to stick to just one, I’ve communicated with deities from the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian pantheons and certain members of each have helped me with various things since my beginnings
4. Seriously you don’t need all the fancy tools- find and make your own when you can if you want them with things that call out to you personally, they’ll often be more attuned to you that way
5. Things get weird and the deities are often not super serious all the time- seriously a lot of the deities love a good party and just joy and happiness and fun
6. As she said write things down- it really does help as you go through it and grow in your practice to look back on those things and maybe make notes in a different color in your notebook
7. Yes use two different books for writing things down- one you can make as pretty as you want the other you can add in little notes in the margins or whatever with like taking notes for school or whatever and it can be messy
"Yes use two different books for writing things down- one you can make as pretty as you want the other you can add in little notes in the margins or whatever with like taking notes for school or whatever and it can be messy"

Do you consider yourself to be a good person? Most people do. However, most of us differ as to the definition of "good." The Bible says that God is good, and the Ten Commandments are His standard of goodness. So, we will look at God's Law . . . With a tender conscience, ask yourself if you have obeyed the following:
You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?)
You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?)
You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?)
Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.
(Have you ever jealously desired what belongs to others?)
The Bible says that God will punish all murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc.
Yet, if we trust in our own goodness to enter Heaven, we are saying to God, "I should enter Heaven because I have done good - I have earned my way in."
Imagine if you wanted to give me a brand new (very expensive) car, but I said, "I can't take it!
Pray something like this:
"Dear God, today I turn away from all of my sins (name them).

LOL!
when you said "everything around you, everything on this earth can be used for magic" bc everything has its own energies, i had to watch that twice bc it felt like something unlocked in my brain for me and a whole world of possibilities opened up. it makes so much sense. thank you for this perspective!

Being born a buddhist, I've been a pretty spiritual person my whole life and began getting into the occult pretty early in life but kinda stopped both over the last 10-15 years --- just recently had a pretty big change in my life and now getting back into it all and this vid is super encouraging. Thank you!

12:59 when you said that it's always Witches vs Christians it made me think that in my country, Serbia, is actually most common that witches are actually orthodox christians and are using christian prayers to cast spells. It's not always one vs another 😊🙏
I also heard that there used to be a lot of Pagans/Pagan practices which really surprised me and thus made me want to do more research on that style of magic. (I'm also Serbian :P)
@@SaraS-ql5ow yeah, we were Pagans before we accepted Christianity and of course we practiced witchcraft but it was way different that the one right now. 😊
When you think about it ... aren’t they a bit similar in some ways? Prayers are spells with intention; “lighting a candle” for someone; anointing with holy water; ALL of the holidays; what else?
WAIT SO I CAN PRACTICE WITCHCRAFT EVEN THO I AM ORTHODOX?!?!?!
And I must say I’ve never felt so welcome by this entire community, I kinda feel at home you know?

T. Nic Young the stuff about all your scientist friends also being into magic made my heart warm lol
Something random but when you said “dang it !” I just heard badboyhalo saying “Dang it!”
No ?
I- no .?
Ok ok I’ll shut up
I completely understand what you mean!

around 8 months ago i started to get into witchcraft and spirituality. i've always been interested in witchcraft and spirituality ever since i was little. i liked reading, and i started to believe. i never said this out loud, because it sounded silly to me and i come from a pretty religious family, but i still believed anyway. so 8 months ago i started researching and doing small practices, i didn't remember why, but after 2-3 months i fell out of it. i guess i was too caught up with other stuff, and if i recall correctly i was also afraid it'd backfire. i didn't want to be caught by my family (i still live with them because my uni is in the same town). so i stopped doing practices until last october-november. i went through a hard time and spirituality was what helped me. it wasn't intentional, though. just like other people who had a hard time, i tried to find an answer, an explanation, anything to solve my problems. so i got tarot readings. did they solve my problems? not exactly, but they made me reflect. i did a lot of self-reflections, and recently i realized that i tried too hard to do things the same way other people do them instead of choosing to do them in a way that i'm comfortable with. i came in terms with that, and now here i am, trying to fall back in! this video makes me feel more confident in restarting and picking up things where i left it. at this point i'm just blabbering and what i say might not make sense but thank you so much for this. ❤
What do you mean by backfire? Does casting spell or any ritual has back fire?
waldy I’m a very new witch (been one for a year) and from what I know, spells (particularly ones of malicious intent or meant to drive out negative things) can be done incorrectly or without proper safeguards and this can cause a “backfire” of sorts.

Much love, blessed be 💜
no such thing as a Christian Witch
@@GuitarBloodlines yes there is. U can be christian and practice witchcraft
"mh that part of the magic?"
😂😂😂
Yeah dude it's my inner self trying to get a word out
You've done an awesome job explaining. I'm new to witchcraft. I had an experience a few weeks ago and now I'm interested in learning everything.
3:00 can be used for anything in life. I appreciate you saying it.
1. spend some time in highly energetic areas, like hunted places,cemetery’s,etc..2. Do not believe everything you read.unless in matches your own pun intuition..3.practice for years before you decide what you believe ..4. Learn energetic self practice before spell work. 5 open yourself both male and female energy level.6. The spells your mother taught you even the ones didn’t work vary well for her might work wonders for you..7 the best books to work from are your mothers book of shadows.8. Spend time with different energy’s moon, sun, wind, water, etc. 9. go in the woods and find your own herbs fell thim they might be different for you thin another person.10. Witchcraft love it with all your soul. 11. Spiritual practice is your oun practice .. as witch high priest or priestess.. never down anyone spiritual growth 12. Love your self like the other..13. Bless be!
I'm gonna start yoga instructor training tomorrow. What a timing for the challenge!!

Our bodies are our greatest tools, and with this religion-neutral book, you learn things like how to clear energy blocks, raise energy, store energy, etc. in a way that you just don't see in other teachings.
So true! I’m 37 and have been practicing since I was 17 but I’m still reading and learning. You will never be an expert. Love your vid xxx
Which book!??
This is a really good video! I love that your tips go beyond the typical "you can do it if you really try" mentality of other channels.
Could you do a video on how to overcome one's own scepticism? I am a young neuroscientist from an atheist family, and I have science and hard facts around me all day. Whenever I try to start getting into witchcraft, I can't help but feel silly. However I would love to have a spiritual side to my life, to contrast the cautious theoretical work that I do. How do I overcome that feeling of making a fool of myself?
@Elidi Music I will definitely look into that, thank you!
