Great tutorial - I did a Friesian horse’s head, then added name, and your directions were awesome. Thank you for taking the time to do such a great tutorial!
Just watched your video. Question....- Can I add background quilting to a finished wall hanging with applique? It already has the backing and binding on it and I thought it would be cool if I could use this technique to finish off the wall hanging with background quilting added. I thought I probably would have to scan the wall hanging then follow your steps to outlne, etc. to finish. But not sure if this would work on a finished piece. I do have upgrade 3 on my Solaris. Thanks for any input you can give me.
I recently released a three part tutorial, quilt a quilt using IQ Designer to stipple a quilt. My quilt is not bound but one option I would say may be an extra step you could take would be to baste fabric extensions to the outside edge just to give you enough fabric to hoop through out the process. Hope that helps. :) I've linked the first tutorial below. ruclips.net/video/8Bt1QWCvr6U/видео.htmlsi=4zL4ylTXwgiaPBZW
The pathfinder doesn’t have that feature built in to the machine. If you have software you may be able to do this within software if you have software with that capability.
I'm sad that I can't seem to find Henny Jenny? Am I looking in the wrong place? Can you post the direct link please! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you for this lesson!!! It was exactly what I needed. You are a fabulous teacher!

Janet Robinson This is a wonderful description of placing some fill around a design one already has. Thank you.

Great video! How do you then sew it into a quilt?
Follow this tutorial. There are three parts. You can use this method. :)

❤ I sure she left it in the hoop
This is exactly what I want to do but I have a pathfinder and cannot find where to outline the appliqué.

You can find Henny Jenny at embroidershoppe.com in their free section. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting:)
What would you have done if the quilting had been on top of your design? How would you fix it?
There are ways to adjust the fill further away from your design if desired.
You didn't show the button we use to tack down the batting and backing
The basting feature can be found within the Layout Key which is in your final embroidery screen in upper left corner. :) thanks for watching.
@@lorihernandez9762 thank you. I just bought the Solaris and love that feature for my tile scenes
What stabilizer was used originally with the hen?
I used a tear a way. Notice I removed the excess around Jenny Henny before adding the batting and backing.
Can this be done on a tee shirt quilt
The creative engineer that am would say sure! As any tshirt quilt stabilization is key. If you stabilize correctly I don’t see why not.
Can you post where you got the chicken? Please
