I just think people end up growing out of these cars. A lot of people get these cars to keep up with the new trend then realize you can get something luxury for the same amount.
Not really a lot of ppl get them cause they fun asl my last hellcat I had so much fun

@@no_Context_siegemost people that got these cars came from Altimas and Accords, front wheel drive cars. Anything over 200 hp that’s RWD is finna be some kinda fun lol. At the end of the day I do agree that theyre fun cars but people are getting away from the hype.

It’s not that they grow out of the cars, they get them for the wrong reasons. I’m 44 and about to buy a Charger for myself. Age has nothing to do with it. I’m buying one because I love mopar, the sound of a hemi and muscle cars.
I’ll also add that people today get bored extremely fast. It shows in how many people are upside down on their cars. Buying a new one every 2 to 3 years and never paying them off.
I love my challenger man. I got it because I like the looks inside and out and performance wise it was a hell of a step up from my Honda. I don’t go track, don’t race on the street, don’t go to meet ups. I don’t plan on selling or “leveling up” because I am extremely happy with what I have.

I’m the same way. I bought a 2023 Charger R/T Blacktop last month. I bought the 5.7L model because I wanted a lil V8 grumble under the hood and out the exhaust. I don’t race or anything crazy. I put it in sport mode and have a lil fun from time to time, but that’s about it. Honestly, I just like the looks and the sound of the car so I bought one. It’s Not a Scat, Not a Cat, and it’s no big deal. Thats about it..

I just bought a blacked out car ,Black rims and everything.
The lights don’t even turn on when you open the door and I think he spent some money for the world’s quietest exhaust .
I like it so much instead of hearing noise.

Definitely don't have to worry about cops running my plate whenever they're behind me. Had 2 do it and I drive a SXT! I guess they thought they were about to hit a lick. Nope.
The main reason people are selling their Dodge 392s and hellcats is because of the high insurance rate and theft rate
traded mines for the 2024 Z08 corvette. Never looked back lol. N/A engine with 9k revs and its 600+whp no boost. Getting it procharged this month i cant wait. I understand those who enjoy Mopar I was with them heavy for years. I got tired of all the shady theft attempt moments, kids making insurance rates go wild and tired of cops always running me or stopping me to make sure it isnt stolen. Since I been in my corvettes I have had zero issue. They act like they are invisible when ever a hellcat is in the parking lot.

Don't let anyone mess it up for you. Sometimes I feel the same way, but if you can own it without havin to worry about theft... own it outside of that community and enjoy it. For every 100 of them that's out there swingin n doin takeovers, there's an elite 7 that are doin track days (road course track days, not drag strips).
Get one if you want... and learn in the right environment how to actually corner, drift & drive it!

People realizing way better cars out there for the price
Unlike ford and chevy, Dodge was not trying to make a stripped down European style sports car or a pony car. Dodge had the intention to make old school American Muscle Cars with the right mixture of new age technology, nobody did it better than Dodge. The Charger, Challenger and Durango among other Mopar vehicles are meant to be big, loud, powerful and fast. Some people will say we drive "boats" or we're "too heavy" well how many 9 and 8 second cars has GM or ford produced? The answer is zero. Dodge knows how to make a race car, in fact Dodge built a super car that has absolutely dominated anywhere it's ever gone, that car is the Dodge Viper 🐍 a V10 super car that eats alive anything chevy or ford has ever built. The Dodge Demon 👿 and the Dodge Viper 🐍 will beat anything chevy and ford has ever built, that also goes for imports as well. If you want a pony car go buy a mustang or a Camaro. If you want some overpriced European sports car go get a bmw or a Mercedes Benz. If you wanna off brand Ferrari you can buy a c8 Corvette that's if you can't afford a real Ferrari. If you want a true American Muscle Car with tons of power and looks amazing then you'll buy from Dodge. It's that simple folks, these vehicles haven't lost their mystique at all. I'm never buying anything that isn't Dodge. Mopar or no car!
Here's the Miami, FL perspective since having my scat purchased june 2023 as of today.
15 traffic stops and 8 tickets= all because of suspicion and window tints. half the time they're just bored and saw a charger.
Insurance has increased tremendously not because of tickets. It went up after i updated my insurance plan to include the charger same week.
Current monthly insurance progressive $380 for the scat alone.
Can't drive in peace without thinking someone is going to steal my car even with 2 kill switches and tracker.
Too much unnecessary eyes a lambo could be right next to me. And yet people will still be attracted to my car. Women, kids, police and thieves......
Takeovers have destroyed any possible chance for you drive around in miami people assume that was your car drifting or going on chase with police.
Everyday someone wants to race no matter the time. i smile and look away. weather it's a dweeb in an exotic rental. Or Grandpa in a Modded Zo6
Gas is shit but i signed up for that....Highway miles only make up for it.
Price i bought still has held it's value by a couple thousands. But trade ins have sunk.
Might go back to german or get a couple trucks to be lowkey.

@@granddude1242 yessir all tickets get dismissed at court by telling them tints have been removed. Traffic citations affect your insurance. speeding, crashing, wrong way turns, U-turn etc. Vehicle violations affect only past level two as in windshield is blocked, mirrors broken etc....Clearly you don't read which shows. $380 for the scat $910 for all 4 of my cars.
Had a friend in a newer r/t challenger in manual in sublime green, nothing special but was harassed countless times by cops and always had bums trying to race him and tailgate him. He now has a WRX which is good cause it snows alot in my area
I’m in Broward and I have a Mustang GT and you’re right, you can’t go ANYWHERE in peace without someone wanting to race. It’s actually getting really annoying
It’s always the squares that CANT AFFORD the next level Mopar, then switch brands and start talking down on mopars. I went from an R/T Chally to a C8. I still want a Cat or Trackiana. Mopar for life, regardless of what I’m currently driving.

I’ve met very few people that can “afford” a Mopar. Myself and my friends can…funny part is we don’t own them, or either got rid of them 😂. I love them specifically the amazing job Dodge did with the Hellcat, and Demon. I currently own one and it will remain stored until a particular group of people moves on from them, and stops killing people over them.

Listen. Dudes are selling their cars because dodge no longer supports V8s. Ok? Now peep game there's still a new cohort/younger demographic of consumers that want a V8 but can't get one due to the mark ups, SO they are willing to buy a stepped on used V8. this serves two purposes. 1. Current owners can sell their cars and get out, and 2. What's left of the market can get into a (albeit used) car. It's a win-win. We didn't create the landscape. We were just trying to navigate through the mark ups. Stealerships aren't the only ones running game. Markets adapt and evolve. Kinda like blockbuster not recognizing Netflix, lol. Stealerships don't recognize that Dodge was a middle-class company for the working man...and now it's trying to be something it's not. Anyhew, I said all of that because 3 of my boys have moved on and sold their cars. I took my chally outta of winter storage last week and.... I wasn't excited. Dodge and the stealerships killed my vibe. I'm trying sell my car, I just haven't figured out what I want yet. Dodge is wack now.
Don't let that twin power turbo tag fool you. It's not a twin turbo, it's basically a dual scroll turbo. They reroute some of the exhaust back into the turbo to reduce turbo lag. Love my Bimmers!

I bought a new TA 392 6spd for 43k down from 53k. Car is amazing and i got it cheaper because it was manual, and nobody wanted... and rebates also. Fun as hell to drive and the after market for power and tuning is much better now so im keepin it amd plus its paid for. If i had to make a choice if i sold it, it would be the Cadillac blackwing or go back to my import roots and get an r33

There is a mystique that the Scats and Hellcats ( especially WB's ) have that other performance cars cannot match. The Mopars are muscle cars and everything else falls into the sports or performance cars categories.
I always tell people that when they try to compare scatpacks and mustangs. Two completely different cars in my opinion and I’ve owned both. I like my wb scat charger more because it feels like a muscle car.

Had two Scats but traded for a used BMW 38k that depreciate faster than everything 🤔. New Scats and Cats $64 and beyond. Between cost, interest rates, and insurance, I'm assuming he probably couldn't afford another Scat or Cat.

Because people are realizing they paying for the same car that they made in 07 for the Challenger 2015 with the charger you can just buy a V6 version of those or Magnum and throw all the hellcat or demon bits and why body flares like the newer models for way less and you don't have to deal with a high insurance of a jailbreak or demon

I've been telling yall I'm Lexus all day. The used and new market is flooded with these. They're fun for awhile and then you realize it's just the motor. Everything else is subpar. You get tired of buying gas all the time and most are paying monthly what you could for high end luxury vehicles.

Got downpipe and a tune on my 340i. If it ain't a cat don't bring it. I'm making more power than a 392 with less weight and AWD. And can't forget that transmission tune, this thing shifts faster than a GTR.

If funny because when Stellantis bought out FCA they wanted Jeep to compete with Range Rovers & Dodge to compete with BMW, Scats & Hellcats vs M & Alpina....... BMWs usually only win because theyre AWD so they can put the power down without spinning plus BMWs are lighter BUT id still rather have a WB Scat/Hellcat (im a 5.7 R/T owner)
Well think about it bro. As cool as the challenger and Charger are and I'm a Mopar lover. The Mustang Platform is way better at making power with simple mods. Like a hellcat comes with 717 for like 89k to 100k depending on spec right. I have a 2016 Mustang GT that I paid 15k for and all I have to do is throw a Gen5 Whipple kit on it with a Tune and I making more More than a Demon 170 depending on the pulley size I throw on it. The 392 will do the same thing however to do that you have to tear the entire engine down and replace the pistons with Forged pistons, I Beamconnecting rods, probably need some ARP head Studs, new Oil pump gears and oil pump for running boost, you should also replace the valve train with better springs and lifters. By that time your in Demon 170 price range between the cost of the car and all the mods.you have to do to the engine just to make close to Demon 170 numbers. The Coyote Platform is just cheaper to make a lot of HP with not to mention the S550 Platform is way lighter. Hell look at Brett Lasala. He took a S197 Mustang with a Gen3 Coyote/Predator stock block threw all the boost at it and hold the world record for a radial tire at 6.26 sec 1/4 mile at 226mph and he did that this year at Sick Week in Florida. I can promise you you won't see anyone in a factory block Mopar ever coming close to that. That's just some of the many reasons people are leaving Dodge. Not to mention they went all in on EV and bullshit inline 6 while everyone else in the Muscle car world doubled down on their V8 program.

Every car they make makes more than they say it does. The old M4 Comp, they said it makes 444 HP, it actually makes closer to 500 crank HP.
These B58s they say it makes 320 HP, it actually makes about 365-380 HP.
Even when tuned, the tune says 420 HP, it's actually closer to 500 HP.
And then you factor in the transmission shifts faster than a Dodge, it's lighter than a Dodge, it's AWD.
Beating scats easy even stock, tuned, it's a bad joke. Bring a cat if you wanna beat a tuned BMW. And even then, let me put in some ethanol....

He will learn a very valuable lesson about BMW’s. I had a 2008 750Li back in the day and bought it used from Universal City BMW in Cali with 9800 miles on it. I wish the dealer would have given out frequent repair points because it was always something new going wrong with that car from the Logic 7 system failing twice ( thank God that was under warranty) to the back window screens frozen in place halfway up to lurching or surging when coming to a stop. I could go on and on but the second to the final straw was replacing the transmission that started slipping ( with a remanufactured out the crate for $12K mind you the car still had less than 50K miles on it but my pride and ego wouldn’t let me get rid of it because it was a babe magnet so I ponied up and got the transmission. The final straw was white smoke starting to emit from the tailpipes and I was due for a smog check and could not pass it found out it was a cylinder head and at that moment I rolled that MF to a Chrysler dealer traded it in and got a Black azz 300C platinum V8 Hemi and been rolling it ever since without one issue. Have fun with that Beemer but take it from my experience get rid of that shiznit once you’re out of warranty or your stack will start to dwindle very quickly. Too much tech in a car means way too many things that will go wrong.
Yea but them repairs gone beat you down in the long run I mean if you getting something off the lot you good for some years

My freakin Scat pack gets a whole 11.8 mpg just driving nicely around town. The insurance is three times my old R/T. The car bottoms out on everything and the rear end broke in half when it hit a manhole. These cars are just too expensive to purchase, maintain, insure, and just drive around town. Going to sell it as well. Just a really bad experience.
My scat gets better than that even horsing around

thats a downgrade in my opinion. If i ever did a BMW or Benz It has to be an M or AMG. Thats just my preference though. cause im a performance guy. but to each their own.

Hands down the scats are just plain fun. Mine’s is a 2019 and I still enjoying driving the sh*t outta it. The naturally aspirated growl, the look… straight from the factory you don’t have to do anything to it. I bet he’ll have to mod that 540i to thoroughly enjoy it 😮
