This trailer makes it deliberately look very silly. Which it is. But for me it is also one of the most heartfelt, romantic and allround most exceptional pieces of tv that I have ever seen. I loved S1 even more than S2. You should watch it!
This is the most perfect season of a show I've ever seen. It's a romcom with so much heart that it literally morphs into epic poetry. These characters, scenes, and songs will haunt me forever, and I will have no regrets.
This show is incredible! It has all kinds of positive representation (queer, disabled, BIPOC, neurodivergent, etc.). There’s also so much love and joy packed into this little show. Season 2 is darker but they really develop the characters and it just makes the love and joy stronger! Everyone go watch this ❤️
@@mattwestergard4160Probably for the best that you don't watch it. I like people who know not to consume content only to complain about it afterwards. It is a very enjoyable show but if you want historical accuracy, then it really isn't for you.
Dude, I wanted to watch the show just because it looked interesting and fun.. but this comment pushes people away lmaooo. I don’t know anyone who would watch the show just because it has inclusivity… but that’s what it sounds like the way you say it instead of talking about how great the show is lol for like actual series/show reasons

I love this show so much! It’s so much more than this trailer shows. It’s a deeply heartfelt love story, and a tale about found family. It’s probably the best show I’ve ever seen.
greatest show i've ever seen, and somehow the second season outdid the first! an incredible ride all around, and an experience i wouldn't trade for the world
Absolutely hysterical. I have watched S1 and S2 several times, now. Tragic that this was not renewed - an unfortunate victim of the all out Streaming Wars, and Netflix's ability to dominate streaming, and force other streamers to overspend and take on debt. Sad...
@@thomasneal9291the show was always planned as three seasons. Getting them together was always the middle. Jenkins has said this many times. Romcoms always end with then”they lived happily ever after,” but the real interesting question is: How do they make it work? They are both damaged and just finding that they deserve love, no matter their trauma. That deserves to be finished. Plus! Minor Prince Ricky is still out there! BTW, season two has a near-perfect score from both critics and audience on Rotten Tomatoes, so “bombed, stupid” is one person’s opinion (and a valid one- everyone’s allowed to have opinions!). I actually loved S2 even more as it dived into the pain. The silliness of S1 was great, and still present in S2, but the themes that we can all be better than society/family tells us, that found family is important, that we can change, is all very comforting.
If you didn’t like season 2 that’s fine, not everything has to be for everyone. To say it bombed though is ridiculous. It has a near perfect RT score for both critics and audience and was one Max’s top 10 shows for its entire run. By any measure it was successful even if you didn’t like it.

I would love a season 3 so much. Perfect mixture of laughs and drama. Very silly but with real emotional depth and maturity too.

Sounds like a show I shouldn’t watch. Thanks!

genius series imma need a season 2
Wish granted
I love this show. It's silly, smart and moving, and the cast and visuals are incredible. S2 needed more time to shine but still fab.
Absolutely devastating that there is no season 3, wish that would change
Captain Steed Bonnett, the gentleman pirate, this should be quite interesting, as his life was, wacky and fun with odd things for sure
This show is great!
& I Can’t believe there really was a Gentlemen Pirate named Stede!
I love this show so much!! I think I'm on my twentieth rewatch right now and I still can't get enough of it!
I love this show, SO much. Its become my comfort show & gets watched on repeat weekly!
It gives Don Quixote vibes
Best show EVER

Oh, and Fred Armisen: "I know about Tapas". OMG I busted a gut laughing.
Where are their hats? It's like having a 21st century drama where nobody has cel phones.
Monty Python meets Jack Sparrow!
Mlep(clay)nos!
This is so funny
Was considering to watch it ..but it looks Annoying
Give it a go! It’s fabulous.
FIRST
Just started watching this. As a recommendation, I was sending the trailer to a friend. Love LOVE the use of “Crazy On You”!
Great song.
Ugh, tAiKa WaItItI, NEXT!
you missed a great series then. sucks to be you.
Who exactly is the audience for this? Sorry, I’m off Taka Waititi since ‘Thor, Love & Thunder’ and this isn’t bringing me back. 😂
It’s a romantic comedy.
You really need to have that answered?
lame seriouslyyy lame
No one asked for your resume.
Season 1, great, But WTF happened to Season 2, bombed, stupid.
I just finished season 2. it was great, I have no idea what you're on about. It also did not need to continue. ending as is is just fine.
