    Hi. By any chance, have you experimented with using one bin or container of babies and feeding scraps or leaves, grass etc ONLY, no chow, all the way to their max size, and simultaneously one bin, same size and same amount babies, etc, feeding ONLY the worm chow, and then compared which were larger, which reached that stage faster, and which group multiplied more while growing? I know it would be lot of work to do, but figured I would ask you, rather than doing it myself.Hahah. Thanks for all your videos , they are appreciated.

      I have I did it a few years ago. And I will tell you the fattest worms I ever grew were raised in manure and straw.

    I see a lot of dust airborne. Might I suggest moving the grinder to the edge of the cart. Fasten a bag on the output of the grinder. Hold in place with a hose clamp. When I see that dust I am seeing worm food floating away. Thanks for sharing. I am brand new to worms and watching to get ideas.

    Put a mark on the knob for a reference and use the lock nut to keep it from vibrating loose

    You can also get beet pulp shreds which will be easier to grind

    A small fan on the end of your cart that can blow the dust away from your face would be good don't need nothing to big but it's useful especially on hot days or create some kind of box for the stuff that you grind up to fall into you can catch the dust that is blowing away and it can be turned into a super fine worm food

    That pine bedding, pour about one 1/4 to a 5 gallon Bucket add water....you can add a little at a time it should fill up almost to the top...it fluffs up nice and then portion it into bedding.

    @marcinsz7376 Год назад +4

    That dust has a lot of nutritional value and you seem to loose it a lot...it would brake down much quicker than the rest too....did you consider grinding everything straight into the bag or even into the bin with small cut out in the lid?...you'd catch most of it then.

      I have considered it, but right now this is what I have and what works. Trust me there’s plenty of dust.🤣

    Good morning, Vee, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 ❤🪱❤️🇺🇸
    Nice to see how you mix your Chow.
    Is that Harvey?
    I used my NutraBullit to pulverize the tiny Drake Elm leaves 🍃 I know it's too small for your business, but a leaf mulcher might break those Oak leaves down.
    Take care
    ❤Peggy❤

    I and many other people from Israel see love your videos. The problem that many have is that there is no Hebrew translation. We would be very happy if you would make a translation in Hebrew as well. Thank you very much for the tutorial and the videos you make

    Have a question about the beet stuff. I thought it was made from beets. The kind that stain everything. But I looked it up and it appears its from sugar beets. So do you still use the beet powder that's from beets.

    • @TheGardenAndWormLady
      @TheGardenAndWormLady  Год назад +1

      Hopefully this will replace the beet powder because that is very expensive

    Why do you feed “Worm Chow” as apposed to blended fruit and vegetables?
    Fruit and Vegetables would be a lot less costly and much more nutritious for your worms and your castings rather than a processed and costly feed.

    • @TheGardenAndWormLady
      @TheGardenAndWormLady  Год назад +2

      I feed all my breeders and babies both. I agree they need diversity in their diet
