Bio Dude does an awesome job packing plants. My package bounced around for an extra 6 days 😮 no fault of Bio Dude and they were fine. A little oxygen and water and they perked up
Most of the videos on youtube about breeding leopard geckos has been through the lens of a business owner. Surface level information which is all you need to know to PRODUCE geckos and how the genes interact. Starting out, I wanted to know what behaviors from the female tell me she is not ready to breed when being paired. All the sources out there basically go "Yeah, just put the two geckos in a box for a couple days at a time and they will eventually lock up". Not at all concerned about their behaviors. Those breeders will often have adult leos with missing toes and regrown tails because they leave the male and female together for too long and they get stressed.
@animalsathomepodcast okay thanks for the info, I’m really hoping they aren’t scamming people. I ordered an enclosure from them and they responded up until the new year and now I get no response. Both of their websites are down. It’s really weird and I went through them because bigger names in the industry like yourself backed them and had them as sponsors.
@ yeah I hear ya. I truly don’t believe they are scamming people. However, if they’re going through business troubles, I really hope everyone gets either the enclosure they paid for or their money back. I’ll do some investigating.
No need to apologize! This is Rebecca‘s third appearance on the podcast, totaling over six hours of discussion. Morph production is a part of the hobby. in my opinion, the ethical thing to do is teach people how to do it properly if they’re going to go that route. All three of the conversations with Rebecca go far deeper into producing morphs ethically than any other content on RUclips. No worries if it’s not your cup of tea!
Would we be listening to this if it was about human, being bred for specific mutations…??? 😅 At what point do we look at this hobby and really take notice of what breeders are doing to this reptiles. keeping them in tubs and bins for “morph mutations”. I personally believe this hobby has gotten out of hand and breeders should be regulated. How we go about that I personally couldn’t tell you but I definitely think there’s a problem.
I understand the urge to play with mutations and morphs, try stuff out etc. But animals - especially reptiles - aren't the right 'thing' to do that with! You see, you need multiple generations of animals to get the one color, mutation or combination of genetics you're looking for. That's dramatic, especially for animals getting multiple decades old! Can't you just scratch that itch by breeding plants or microbes? Grow Weed ffs but stop multiplying animals that can never all be kept in a nice, healthy way..

Very knowledgeable
Yes! Her and the uromaatyx guy is my fav guess 😅
she is amazing !
Whatever happened to Custom Reptile Habitats? Seems like they dropped off the map and they owe people enclosures and/or money.
It’s a good question… I’m not exactly sure
@animalsathomepodcast what happened to the sponsorship?
The terms ended i.e., we reached the end date of the sponsorship agreement. After that, I did not hear from them to renew.

Sorry I do not understand why we are now promoting morph breeding on this channel?
