The world has lost a true legend. I was fortunate enough to see him front row center stage in CLE Ohio in the 90's. This man was a true performer who cared about the audience! I even caught his guitar pick! I ended up giving that pick to a friends wife Jen who absolutely loved Meat Loaf... kind of regret that now... but at the time... it felt like the right thing to do. Meat... I hope you are resting well!! You are missed by your fans!! We'll always love you!!
Wild. I've been on a deep Meat & Steinman rabbit-hole dive for the past two weeks. What a coincidence to find this today. Looking SO much healthier than in the Dan Rather interview. I hope you're well and at peace, man.
This video is from 2020, in 2021 Meat wore a beard and mustache. In July 2021 it was just uploaded to RUclips. The prefix of the number 2021 as the year the video was added to its title is just as correct as in the photo file, the last of his joint photographs with Karla Devito (where they met aged and gray). In that picture he is also without a beard, which reminds to me that the photo was taken before 2021 and, possibly, before the first lockdown of 2020.
I think this was recorded before Jim’s passing or Meat still hasn’t come to terms with Jim’s passing. I still haven’t come to terms with Jim’s passing because he is everywhere in my life. In my music, movies, books, sayings etc. Jim, along with Meat will live on forever because they’re a part of everyone’s lives in some way. I cried at the news of Jim’s passing and I STILL cry because like I said he was and still is a huge part of my life!

So he is nicer than I am......there is no way I'd answer those 2 questions after they had been asked a billion times! And, it takes precious time from the interview that should have been used for more interesting info...I can think of so many questions I'd love to ask. The best part of this is his singing...his voice keeps getting stronger!! I'm convinced he will get back on stage, or do a new cd, or both ♥ ♥

How many times does this poor guy have to explain his name and what he won't do? Ok I looked up on the internet about how he got his name the very first time I found Meat and Jim. I thought it sounded crazy. So looked at I would say 3 more videos about how he got his name and to see if he got persistent. He was. It took me a while to understand the I'd do anything for love though.
Pisses me off they ALWAYS ask what that means. Only people who don't read the lyrics or care much about the song would ask that. What a waste of time constantly asking Meat about what that means and how he got his name. If you know he hates that question then you've already heard the answer obviously.

In April 2021 Meat already had a mustache and a small shaggy beard (Jim passed away in April 2021).
