thanks for the info but in reality, the top nut is always tough to remove also tap the hex key into the top of the strut , but i have just ordered a suspension leg spreader to help remove the hub.but great info thanks
Well the suspension strut is in this case newly greased but in the reality customers perform in they will be stuck. The fuckin nuts holding the top screws are also NOT mentioned :D. So this is only a dream world edited description. Thx but well.. this is not the whole story.
In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing may be slightly different is the design features of your car. More detailed information can be found in the technical documentation for repairing your car.
I love that this video has been done on the easy side of the vehicle. Let’s see how easy it is on the side with the wiper assembly
just remove the wiper arms and then three t30 and you can remove the assembly
Excellent work

Hi! @3:38 what socket do you use to spread the shock clamp? Allen? What size?
5.5x8.2mm (VAG 3424)
Is this the same for a mk4 caddy maxi

While dissasemble it says 21mm for the top nut on shock, but on assembly is says 22mm. Is it not standard? Or error in video only?
Depending on the manufacturer of the shock absorber, the size may vary.
@@autodocuk thanks 👍👍
@ 7:51 What is the torque on the drive shaft bolt please? Excellent video thanks.
175
I dont trust these torque specs, depending on which bolt is fitted they range from 50nm+45degrees to 200nm+180degrees
Côté gauche ????!? 🤔
Merci pour votre commentaire. Sur le côté gauche, on procède de la même manière que sur la droite.
