foREVerAvenged1 That’s kinda hard to decide, because both were released in 2005! Let’s see.. Roses For The Dead was promoted as a single on February 20 2006, but it was already on the album Hours (released on 14 June 2005). Smile In Your Sleep was promoted as a single on July 19 2005, before the album came out which would be August 16 2005.
So Roses For The Dead came out 1 month and 5 days BEFORE Smile In Your Sleep.

I don't normally use drop C often and just last week decided to tune one of the guitars down to drop C and look up some fun riffs to learn. This is gonna be helpful :D

Drop C# tuning is one of my favorites! Linkin Park is the reason why that song "A place for my head", "One step closer" and "In the end" that makes me wanna pick a guitar to jam with. But I wanted to play their song off the Meteora album called "faint" with extended outro on a rhythm guitar.
I was NOT expecting to see Roses For The Dead! I love that song to pieces ❤️❤️

Having been in my "black metal elitist" phase when Funeral For A Friend were a thing I never really listened to em. I never realised how creative they were with chords! Pretty nice riffs.
Also, SO glad that A Place For My Head is on this list. That riff made me want to pick up a guitar in the first place, back in 2001 haha

Drop C# is my favorite dropped tuning. My favorite riff in that tuning has to Saku by Dir en grey.

A Place For My Head is in D# Standard. Another riff that'll make you pick up your guitar by them though is One Step Closer, which is in Drop C#.

I love every single tuning, from E standard to A Standard and Drop A everything below just gets into the Bass territory, you need to be able to take advantage of the ALL strings and not only the lowest one!
