- In June of 2018, then 12-year-old Kai Jones went on a mission he will never forget. Teaming up with his father Todd and his uncle Steve, both co-founders of TGR, as well as his mentor Ryan Halverson, the young gun set his sights on a classic big-mountain line: the Skillet Glacier on Mt. Moran. At over nearly 6,000 vertical feet of climbing and skiing, it's one of the biggest single descents in the Tetons, let alone North America.

Kid has a great head on his shoulders and some amazing role models around him. Cant wait to see where he goes
How long has he Been 12 for?
Coming up on 4 years now
That’s exactly what I’m sayin. Like wth
About 4 years I think?
365 days
I summited Mt. Hood when I was 12 without skis and I can’t even imagine climbing and skiing this line at that age
Totally rad, dig the stealy hat at the end too! Your son is absolutely inspiring as I continue to push myself, I will look towards him as inspiration. Thanks for sharing :D
Imagine A) Being enabled at 12 to go and do something epic like this; and B) Having Todd Jones (Dad) bring the professional film crew to document it.
That was awesome, Thanks for sharing that story!
Some kids are dealt a better hand than others. Kai seems to know how lucky he is. Cool video, either way. Some friends and I had a very similar 24 hours many years ago, shwakking away, skiing some sweet corn and then surfing the wake on the way home. I remember the bugs being a lot worse, though. A very uniquely Jackson thing to do. Great times. And bringing Bill into the picture was a nice touch.
Awesome video. What an experience. When Briggs stepped out of the car I lost it. Love the Steal your face hat Todd. I saw your booth at a D&C show last year. Cool as hell.
Oh yeah baby.
Awesome
I'm not crying, you're crying
What I would love to aspire to do with my kidos one day! Loved it!
This is all kinds of fun and awesome
Big inspiration
Man it would be greatest experience to be there actually up on the Tetons and the view , not many people will be able to do that with there dad .
beautiful
Super stoked watching that! Folks what backpack Kai was using during final phase of the ascent?
So cool
So sick
Sweet that you got Briges in the flik!
Yessiree
Good on ya Todd. Atta boy Kai.
best
Congrats Kai on crushing life. I hope my boys and I do this when they are 12.
Too young to risk his life for a RUclips video and the proudness of his father
This is not fair
Then don't watch because you don't understand. Clearly, you're a flatlander.
@@lbacker90 haha, yes I'm a Chamonix flatlander, genius
