When the current owner bought this classic charming Hans Christian 33 in 2009, he immediately went to work with lifetime ownership plans in mind. Firstly he bought new sails, and rigging, and then in 2015, he oversaw an extensive refit in Phuket. Including stripping of the hull, epoxying the hull, removing all the screwed teak decks and replacing with glued teak decks, replacing the chain plates, and the rudder stork. Last year he had a refurbished second hand engine fitted. He has used the boat for holidays and weekends, being based in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore for work.
