      That way I wouldn't have to buy an entire shipment of cymbals, only to return them :P Oh, and thanks for trying to crash on the ride cymbals. Very important to know if they are "crashable".

      So I'm not the only one who thought about ordering a truckload of them just to make up my mind. I still expect to end up with maybe 3 sets for variety since they're so affordable. And I'm now a bass player.

  • @Hannibu
    @Hannibu 5 лет назад +8

    The Zultans are at least one class over the others. They can compete with cymbals that cost more than double the prize. In a blind test I doubt if one can hear a difference between e. g. Zildjian A, Meinl Byzance, Sabian AAs.
    I have heard some 200€ crashes from big brands which didn't sound as good as this 16".
    Then comes the Milleniums. For 200 € it is fantastic. For rock the hihat is all you need. For my tast the crash and the ride are to washy. But the ride would make an excellent big crash.
    A big dissapointment is the Zildjian ZBT Series. Even some of the Meinl HCS (brass) sound better.
    You don't get a good set for 300€ from the main brands. There you have to put some 200€ more in to it, to get a decent cymbal set (14" hihats, 16" crash, 20" ride).

    Man those Zultan and Millenium sets were just so far above, it was actually nice to have the other ones in the video to help accentuate how nice the Zultan and Millenium sets sound. The Meinls are the best value for an entry level drummer since it comes with double the amount of cymbals, they just sound so bad. Would have loved to see the Zultan and Millenium sets compared to Wuhans. In my opinion, Wuhan is the top dog for affordable cymbals, but after hearing these other sets, it's hard to tell when they aren't compared by the same people in the same set of circumstances regarding room, mics, etc.

  • @Drumsholic

    Rockbeat Ride is NIce and the total image of hihat and crash is Very nice!!Meinl has a nice offer but the sound isn't so good it seems too cheap.Sabians are bright but is No for me for the detail of low volume.Zildjians are bad. Millenium as surprise is an unbelievable nice set with nice and crispy close and open sound of hats, great sounding ride and only crash is NO for me but the set that beats straight as far better of Zildjians and close to Paiste Alpha series sounding!!For 199 euros i think is the best set!!Paiste 201 crash is nice, hihat it sucks and ride is nice too but all is for low volume situations.Nice review guys!!

    Man you can get some really nice cymbals on a budget nowadays. I own the Millenium B20 14" Crash, 16" Crash and 16" China which is my favourite, would have paid a lot more for that sound. I like Chinas with lots of wash and little gong. The Crashes also have some wash to them, a little undefined, which may throw some players off. But as I play mainly Metal, the somewhat thrashy washiness adds just perfect. I'd love to play that Hihat. But as it isn't sold seperately, I'll go to the Zultan RockBeat. Honestly I've heard and played Hihats that cost alot more than the whole B20 set and sound not as good.

    Zultans hands down. I think Wuhans are actually pretty nice too, though they weren't on here.
    Lawwdy those ZBTs sound like garbage. They were my first set. When I started recording at home I realized how truly cruddy they are. After a couple hits on the ride it just turns into a wash of unpleasant overtones. Pretty much the same for the Sabians. I wasn't a huge fan of the Milleniums. Hats were too high pitched for me and the crash sounded poopy. The ride was not bad though. That said, I liked them way better than the zildjians and sabians.

      I own the 14" Crash, 16" Crash and 16" China. Go for it. You cannot go wrong for this price. I mean the worst feeling is when a beloved crash gets a crack. Well, get a new one for 60€. And they sound nice. Typical B20 sound with some rather undefined wash. If you play, say Jazz or Funk, this washiness may not be helpfull, but for Rock or Metal, it really has something to it.
