Good timing - Sam just released his first album yesterday. The story of how Ren and Sam met is really sweet. Sam is a few years younger than Ren. He was 16, busking in Brighton with no amp and no guitar or backing track. Ren was on the way home after his own busking session and stood listening and chatted to Sam's mate (seems that mate was Connor, who now works for Ren). When Sam finished the song Ren offered his amp and played guitar for Sam, because he was so impressed by his voice. A crowd gathered and Sam earned much more money.

They ended up having to block off streets, the crowd got so BIG. Ren is back home now and performing live at The Secret Garden Party. Sam Tompkins will be there. Ren was returning home with his equipment.. asked Sam if he wanted to use his mic and amp - the rest is history! As others have said - Sam just released his first album, and he’s been touring all over Europe. Ren has lifted up several extremely talented people - you’ll experience all of them as you continue your journey!
You could have rewound maybe 20 times to that belt and it would never get old! Even with that said, it’s your channel, do whatever the fuck you want! We will be here for it.

This is my favorite Busking song! It never fails. Every time, when Ren is about to open his mouth at the beginning of “It is a Man’s World”, I stop what I’m doing. It freezes me. And I couldn’t be happier! We are all like you… If we walk passed this, we tell our bosses, “sorry, I need 6 minutes to listen and 45 to chill the hell out!

Not too long ago Sam posted on social media a video clip of the first time they played together. Sam was busking with no mic or background music. Ren loaned him his mic and played guitar for him to help him out and let him keep the money they earned. If I'm not mistaken Sam was like 14 or 15 years old at the time. Ren has an amazing ability to spot talent and doesn't hesitate to lift others when he can. Part of the reason the Renegades love him so much. Sam is brilliant himself and I highly recommend checking out his other stuff with Ren as well as his solo work, you won't regret it.

For everyone who hasn't.... another must check out is the Kids Rock For Kids cover of Muse's "Hysteria" (ruclips.net/video/O96gF3UWbSo/видео.html) this collaboration with 11year old bassist Ellen Alaverdyan, 16 year old guitarist Charlotte Milstein, 14 yearold vocalist Vinya Chhabra .....as well as 9 year old guitarist Bay Melnick Virgolio.. and backing vocalist Ella Milstein ...is not only well worth a listen...it can be very inspiring for young musicians and will definitely warm the heart of everyone else... the future is going to be fun!!!!
