I have to agree with a previous comment that lily silk is expensive and out of reach for the everyday person. However Gemma, what I take away from the videos are the ideas and concepts. These outfits are chic and can be replicated for a more affordable look from the high street, so thank you❤
You’re the best stylist ever! I’m so glad that classic, refined dressing is back in style again and I think that’s partly due to your influence! I never gave up the classics and I use your videos for inspiration on how to keep them modern-looking. Thanks for all your excellent work❤❤❤
Love these looks and easily replicated with more affordable options. Classic and elegant! As a side note you look so much like the actress Dianne Lane both very beautiful ladies.
In the 90s my mother used to buy fabric and take us to a seamstress who would make dresses, blouses, skirts etc for us....used to fit perfectly compared to buying clothes that are over priced and the threading are loose.
Gemma, you look beautiful! I think one of the best things you did was cut your hair. The style is lovely and you look elegant and sophisticated. Your hair looks quite thick. Your taste in outfits is absolutely impeccable. Looking forward to all your videos.
LOVE your style, and the small Noom weight loss gives you a stunning look in every outfit! The format of your videos is perfect, and WTW is on the top of my fave fashion channels! ♥ I recently found two chiffon silk floaty sleeveless blouses, a light yellow and pale apricot/pink - they instantly became my new 'neutral' staples for Spring wardrobe. 💮🌻
Outfit inspiration is spot on. I Love Lilysilk but cannot purchase because they charge a great deal more (customized) than their already expensive prices for petite sizing-which is ridiculous!
Nice inspiration, I can see myself in every one of them however, will add my personal touch with colorful or ”odd” accessories and nail polish. These outfits give the perfect ”blanc canvas” for that.
Your video was lovely. I liked the colour palettes that you used. My issue is being 5ft 3. Coat sleeves are too long, I have to use a seamstress to alter them. Trouser legs are too long. Plus wide legs make me look square. However, I loved your video, which as given me some ideas. Many thanks 😊
I absolutely love Lily Silk. I actually have both the striped jacket and the camel top in my basket just waiting to pull the trigger. Thanks for the inspiration moment.❤
@@snailmail4152yep. But it's also unnecessarily passive-aggressive and slightly dismissive to be like "ok but this stuff looks good on you bc you're slim". As if being slim was like, dunno, cheating or something? 😅
Gemma will the slim Lilysilk belt fit a size 12 UK? When I look at the website it looks like it goes up to 82cm but it doesn’t say how the belt is measured. Great styling as ever. Xx
Far too expensive and out of reach for a lot of women. Most will look for similar look and type when shopping in Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s once they managed to pay for their family groceries. That’s the real world most of us live in now ...
Like both sets of trousers but pricey. I'm 5ft 8 so should be fine the caramel toffe coloured top is beautiful. I adore chanel style jackets I have 2 copies. One cream one black ..timeless
Shop thrift store, I find beautiful clothes there, dressings well and looking fabulous you don’t have to be rich. It’s a choice everyone can afford to look great. Best wishes to all 💐
I once bought an expensive twin set (cardigan + top like the one displayed) in 100 % cashemere wool. It was impossible to handle as laundry. I always handwashed it - and yet one time the water temperature got just a few celcius above lukewarm, but I could still put my hands in the water without discomfort. That extra heat made the fabric / knit become very wrinkled and ugly and impossible to straighten out. Even when I tried to iron it gently on low heat through a teatowel. It was impossible to fix, so I had to give up on it and throw it out. I've had several pieces in 100% silk as well, and they are just as difficult to handle. A shirt in 100% silk cannot be mashine washed no matter how gentle the program, it has to be handwashed cold, which makes it difficult to get all dirt and fumes out of the fabric.
Agree about the Lillysilk comments. Lovely outfits. But not everyone needs a high contrast striped to for example. I have very low contrast in my skin and hair. I look much better with low contrast stripes or no stripes in my appropriate neutrals. Literally black and white look awful on me.
Love your vlogs Gemma. I thought I'd give Lilysilk a go. Sadly I have to report Lilysilk have been a nightmare to deal with. Firstly when I ordered a size small and medium cardigan to ensure fit, they sent 2 medium garments, although the boxes stated small & medium., the garments both had medium tags. Communication with them is terrible. You can’t call them, they are slow to respond and left hand doesn’t seem to know what right hand is doing. Finally, after many emails to them ( & they wanted photographs to prove their error), I got the RMA required to return the items but had to pay for the return myself! Which is frankly a bit of a cheek. The items also took way too long to arrive, so goodness knows when I will get refunded. Sorry but although many items look nice, service terrible , not what is expected from this price point
So sad that lily silk clothing are HUGE I am an xs wait 25 and I have ordered a few pieces and had to return them all their xs is more like a large on me.
I experienced that the sizes are changing! And it uses to be a hell lot of work to get them returned. And one has to pay the package back. I had to return about 75 % of the purchases because of the sizes, which reminded me of a lottery, so I gave up Lily Silk, good quality, when you get a fitting size, but not customer friendly at all: being PERMITTED to return a not fitting garment....no thanks.
So sad. I recommend reaching out to customer service before making a purchase. I did the same, and now lilysilk clothes fit me well because I prefer natural materials.
@@WKKK_NewYork customer service told me, I had to take XL. Mostly that was too tall, but now and then smaller and fitting. That's what I mean about LOTTERY. My size normally is L at the torso and M around the hips. I'm 176cm tall.
Lily Silk offers free custom-made clothing to your exact measurements. It does take a bit longer to receive an order and they’re not returnable, but the fit will be perfect for you (assuming your measurements are accurate, get a friend to help and check). I think all of their woven items are eligible for this, but not the knits. I hope this helps (no brand affiliations, just trying to help you enjoy the comfort of quality silk items, I’m a huge convert to this fabric myself).🙂
AFRAID L S PRICES WELL OUT MY REACH EVEN WITH DISCOUNT AND THINK THATWOULD BE THE CASE FOR A LOT OF WOMEN. HOWEVER, IT GIVES MY IDEAS TO LOOK FOR IN CHEAPER BRANDS.
Sorry, but sick to death of everyone advertising Lily Silk yet again, completely out of the price range of most people. That blue and white striped shirt last year was a complete joke, it was on every single channel.
You do a good job but expensive clothes that have to be shortened or altered isn’t possible for me and according to the comments for others. What about promoting a brand that offers petite as well as regular and tall. Thank you.

It’s not just the cost of the clothes but the dry cleaning as well.
Beautiful clothes and so well modelled but i agree very expensive
For those of us on a budget we can find more affordable options that look the same I find it inspiring to see this.

Lovely outfits. That looks like Fall to me. For me Spring is associated with the return of colour to the world.
Same!! I'm from a Mediterranean country and when Spring comes my war cry is "COLOURRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!" 😄

I agree. Gemma looks fabulous in this video.
Love them all , especially the first two outfits. I have similar items l can use . I'm really liking the waistcoat trend this year.
Fabulous inspiration as always, I love the toffee with both Navy and Black

Gemma, excellent video. I love every outfit you put together. You really killed with the combinations today!!! Good job.
Thanks Susan, glad you liked them
Love your style ( and suggestions!) and you look amazing in all your outfit combinations!
Thanks Linda 💕

…. But also thank you very much for putting these outfits together, I do enjoy the way you mix and match the items and you always look great in them 😊
Oh my, the striped cardigan is sooooo lovely 😍
I'm a sucker for stripes, just gorgeous but yeah, pricey
When I first saw you in the wide legged trousers and waistcoat I actually said 'wow' out loud.
Very elegant ❣️
Thank you! 😊

Lovely outfits, simple and chic!

absolutely
Beautiful combinations! Thank you for your time! 👠
Love them all!!! I am loving those tshirts. Look so smart.

Lily silk is wonderful. I will make good use of the discount. 🎉
You are totally my style. I have many similar pieces and love it all.
Gemma, your hair looks beautiful in this video. I love outfit 1 on you.
I need cotton clothing for the summer. All now its extremely hot in the Caribbean, the heat is unbearable.
Gorgeous! I’m heading to the Lilysilk website.

That's such a shame, I'm sorry to hear that Carol
I think your one- or two-color outfits would also be extra pretty with a silk neck-scarf patterned in both colors.
Is the white pair of trousers see through in real life?
no, if you wear nude or white underwear you can't see anything at all

Way too pricey even with the discount code. Great looks, though BUT I can still slay without spending $500 for a trouser
Whilst I love your style, Not everyone is as slim or tall as you , 😢
