I tend to agree. It just looks as though they ran out of fabric. Its boxy silhouette and the amount of detail (epaulettes, cuffs, double rows of buttons) add bulk to the upper body-not a look many of us want!
I love all of these pieces Gemma. And I especially love the new cropped trench coat look. I have two of them. A dark grey and a camel one. Sometimes a longer one is just to hot or it adds to much bulk. If you wear a cropped one, you can still look stylish and put together while at the same time be comfortable and warm when needed. For me the cropped trench is just as classic as a knee length, midi or a maxi one. I just turned 69 and I love the new refreshing look. For me it's a no brainier and a win win all the way around. Ty for another great video.
I'm glad the waistcoat (aka vest in the U.S.) is back in style. I will be looking for one to wear with pallozzo plants. I have four trench coats and will consider the cropped.
Great video Gemma ❤❤ Our weather in Canada 🇨🇦 has been the usual rollercoaster. I finally took a week off work and just organized and decluttered my closet. Thank you for the inspiration,I’d fallen into a bit of a funk and your video of classic, smart items was what I needed to get myself sorted. All the best ! Sharon
Each and every style you modeled today was magnificent. I just purchased two waistcoats (we call them vests in the U.S.) and thank you so much for giving me some styling inspiration for them. You looked stunning in the LBD with the pearls.
Hi Gemna, thank you for your videos. Please could you cover affordable, smart summer waterproof coats? Struggling to find a decent one, particularly a camel ( none yellow tint) normal trench under £100. Thanks.
I stocked up on waistcoatz this summer Nall myd cropped blazers.....not a cropped trench. I have had pearls all my life those items particularly hasnt everyone above the age of 40...no need to buy anything at all from your sponsor. I also stocked up on very good quality nice length bermuda shorts..I only owned 2 pr and they were for the beach the new ones are for hot summer city wear with my new short blazers they work with other blazers as well...really a nice look for me. I have a real Ecudoran Panama gat very fine wear and a large antique hat pin that draws compliments all day everyday because I wear the hat everyday. They make me unique.
I do not understand the denim-on-denim/denim items that aren’t jeans look. I feel like we are going to look back on it in 5-10 years like “what were we thinking???” It looks more elevated now than it did in the 90’s & early 00’s, but I bet we will end up thinking of it in the same cringeworthy way.
I‘m still not convinced investing in the cropped trench. Definitely not a classic timeless piece.

Ditto. A cropped raincoat seems a bit silly bc it doesn’t offer much protection from the rain. 😏
I like it, but like you, l don't think they will stand the test of time.
It is completely purposeless and is just a passing trend. Definitely an instant Skip
@@elizabethpetrie2732 I was thinking how boxy it looks. It will make shorter people like me wearing a box.

Classics are the best, updating the wardrobe is a necessity but always along the same lines and colour combinations. Some great ideas here x
Lovely ideas. Classic doesn't date. It works time and again . Loved this practical video. Full of useful suggestions thank you Gemmac
I love all these outfits, Gemma! I love the necklace, it looks very pretty on you.
Thank you Frances

Really pretty jewelry . . . necklaces wow!
Nothing better than a neutral to keep things fresh. 😊
❤❤❤❤ Love it! As always simple, chic, elegant and pratical! Thank you so much!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely masterpiece video! All outfits are everyday choices we could not think.❤
The cropped trench coat is so cute.🩷
I love everything in this video, thank you for sharing 🙂
Ahhhh pearls and stripes! My favorites!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
You and me both. They are truly classic and ageless.
I have the chopped trench coat. It's such a game changer in my wardrobe 😊❤ love it!

I love pearls
Not sure about cropped trench, it’s really too short and spoils the outfit. The delicate Jewellery is really lovely.
Love your hair style!!
Thanks Catherine
I agree. Gemma's hair looks especially good in this video!

Great vid Gemma. Love the short trench, stylish, versatile, comfortable, and classy 👌 xx
The pants and trainers look, looks so good on you 👌🏾❤️
Thank you!!
Great looks!!! I'm not sure about the cropped trench. It's a trend ok, but it's so unflattering.
Those cropped trenchcoats are ridiculous. They just look like someone chopped off a real one. So silly.
You look great in the cropped jacket …. Class is for sure 🎉
Hi Gemma, can you please link the beige top you are wearing in the first look. I think it might be a Lilysilk top from a week or so ago. Thanks!
Hi Susan, it’s from Nap Longewear but I don’t think it’s available anymore 😟
@@Gemmawhattowear Ahhh. Thank you. By the way, it looks fantastic on you!!!!
I love your Raffia purse (not tote). Can you tell me where you got it from? I love your color combos.
Not sure which one you mean, can you tell the time it was shown in the video?
It was around 1.05. You were wearing it with the cropped trench.
Hate the short trench coat , very unflattering
Great❤
Talking about classic: what happened to skirts?

Short trench. Ridiculous
😮😮😮😮
Trend or not trend, to me the cropped trenchcoats look awful, sorry...😐
So many sponsored videos these days. It gets rather annoying.

Sorry but the short trench is not flattering at all. Better with a blazer
Bored at looking at them waist coats
🤡
Stripes? No thanks. That only works if you are tall and thin. I am neither! lol!!
