Somehow I thought it was a bit older than 1999. Yeah, it Bandit would be great for it, I remember it being the first wooden coaster I've been on that went through its support structure. I still remember the weird feeling of close calls with the support. It would be great if it could become an RMC that gives that feeling. Something that Steve does from the on-ride footage and Untamed doesn't really.
Robin hood was my first 'big' rollercoaster. Originally i was very scared of it, but after being eventually convinced by my brothers to ride it, I absolutely loved it, and it got me into roller coasters. Years later, revisiting the park for the most recent time, I rode it again, and hated it. It was so rough and unpleasant that it took away from the experience. Getting an RMC in the Netherlands though, I wasn't expecting this at all. So seeing this, it brings me joy, and I feel like I absolutely need to visit the park again as soon as I can.

With respect, RMC doesn't convert coasters as old as Thunderhawk. The oldest they've converted is Colossus at Magic Mountain, which was built in 1978. The majority of their conversions have been coasters from the 1990s. Thunderhawk dates to 1924, and is a classic coaster for the park. It may not be your favorite there (it's not mine, either), but it has a place in the lineup, especially for younger riders, or folks who aren't up to riding something more extreme. I'd love to see an RMC at Dorney as well, and I think a new Raptor style coaster would go nicely in the spot where Stinger used to be. I've heard plenty of rumors about a wooden GCI going in there, though.
If Six Flags where to take over a park in the uk, which would you be happy for them to take and do over. That wilderness area looks great, a lot of parks forget to use greenery.

Some wooden rollercoasters like Loup-Garou in Walibi Belgium and Troy in Toverland don't need to be converted, because they're still really good and the best wooden rollercoasters I've been on. Bandit in Movie Park does need a conversion imo, the ride is too rough... But I doubt they will convert it, because the track got refurbished only a couple of years ago
Bandit gets retracked partially every year, and it definitely does improve it drastically. You wouldn't want to ride it 10 years ago, in fact, I heard it was super rough when it opened, which shows how bad RCCA was :p . It might actually be smoother nowadays then when it opened in 1999. Personally, I liked Bandit when I rode it last year. The retracking definitely improves the ride a lot.
@@sheeple04 Last time I rode it was in 2015, and it was pretty rough... Glad to hear that! I'm visiting Movie Park again in 2020, I hope it's going to be better!
I have riddden it once, however it is a nice track the lap bars are absolutle hell for me, because I can't bend my legs that well those lap bars force them in a position which is almost painfull for me. So I think that I stand alone as when I say that I miss Robin Hood a little bit, because as it beats me up underway, it never hurt me. :)
I've been on similar rides and the lap bars, and trains in general, aren't great for tall people. It's a bit of a shame but I'm sure the experience is awesome :)
Honestly, even though I'm super excited about the new coaster, I'm also sad to see the old one go. In my eyes, wooden coasters always have this authentic charm, the hybrid not so much. The shakiness of Robin Hood was imo actually kinda fun, once I accepted that it would be unreasonable to expect more of an old wooden coaster. Conclusion: Excited for the new one but I'm gonna miss the old one!

They should really RMC Bandit at Movie Park Germany. Its the oldest wooden coaster in Germany (21 this year ^^), its very rough and boring and it has been down multiple times over the last years. Also its the nearest candidate to me ^^
Which is funny since I probably have the exact opposite opinion. I actually really enjoy Bandit. It's a bit rough but it's constant retracking work every off season definitely improves it dramatically (it probably was rougher when it opened then it is now :p). I also quite like the layout.
6:04 so that's the other 1 inversion. That's 6 degrees away from not being an inversion
Revi M Fadli true, but it’s still an inversion😏
Wildcat at lake compounce really needs this treatment!
Can you do a what is: Rock and Rollercoaster Starting Aerosmith?
I'll note that down, thanks for the suggestion!
@@coasterbot your welcome
I have riddden it once, however it is a nice track the lap bars are absolutle hell for me, because I can't bend my legs that well those lap bars force them in a position which is almost painfull for me. So I think that I stand alone as when I say that I miss Robin Hood a little bit, because as it beats me up underway, it never hurt me. :)
I've been on similar rides and the lap bars, and trains in general, aren't great for tall people. It's a bit of a shame but I'm sure the experience is awesome :)
Can you do twisted timbers plz
I'll note that down, thanks for the suggestion :)
