Actually when Lu (the brand) have launched the Pim's on the market, the commercials on TV about it was English style, the idea was that was an English posh cake. For decades it was only with orange marmelade, just few years ago they have launched those with raspberry marmelade (and perhaps cherry, I don't remember). We can also buy the same cake in discounter shops and they are named Jaffa! I'm sure "we" stole the recipe to the Brits!
@@FrenchWithElle hello '' you two'' from French with Elle. : BTW... Did you ever taste the last kind of PIM'S .. 😉 White chocolate topping and cherry jam inside ?? ...💅 But Being myself much older than you two.. I can tell you that the taste and quality of French sweets, Candies.. biscuits and so... were much... much better many years ago (1980 -2000) than today.. and what ever the brands .... 🤔. 🙄. LU has closed for good their factories last year.. 😒 Today they ( manufacturers/producers ) are cheating about Real or Diet sugar, flour, artificial flavours instead of natural ones ., Real jam or flavored jelly .. And 🥴🙃🙃 ... the total weight of their cakes and ''THAT's a CRIMINAL OFFENSE. ! .''. : about the number of cakes in a parcel even the size of their chocolate bar 😒 👎. @@FrenchWithElle lol, everytime I see an American video, it starts with : "Now don't be surprised if there are many people outside today, because no one is working as it is a bank holiday." 😅 Guys, guys, we *do* work sometimes, you know. Not (every) day of the year is a holiday.
Hi if '' the ROY RENE '' is difficult to find in Paris you can look for others brands as good as that one . Ask for Originals Calissons ONLY MADE IN FRANCE and spell it into French as KAA- Lee- Son
We have a snack in UK called Jaffa cakes which looks very similar to PiMs. Going to give them a try next time I am in France.
Great! Let me know what you think of them 😊
Yeah, they're pretty much the same.
