Yeah , I am Frustrated when there is nothing to eat for drivers that drive all night long 🙄 It’s annoying I’ve learned to just go in the truck stop grab coffee and haul ass I’ll make my own breakfast burrito with liquid Eggs from a carton.

I wonder if things are closing early because they are having trouble getting people to work shifts. Those jobs don't pay enough. You were nervous?! You whipped that thing back in there like it weren't nothin! :) Happy 6th anniversary!
You may want to get a persuader bar to help with the intermodal box doors, looks like a pipe with a section open at one end for the door handle to fit in. Even being a tiny bit shorter you can get those doors shut with that and pulling up or backing up a little to make sure you're trailer isn't slanted.

When your doors won’t close pull your trailer up about a foot or two because sometimes the ground is uneven and it twist the doors

Regarding the truck stop restaurants closing early....I live in NC off of I-40 and most of the truck stops restaurants close early also. I think it has to do with the difficulty some are having getting help. Congratulations! I have been following you since you first started. I have enjoyed the journey!

@@tamariodumas6895 That's only possible if it was caught under the nose of the trailer. The hose started moving as soon as the truck did.

Even petrol has been closing early. They have decent hot food but the either don’t make enough of one or more items or they shut down. I just been trying to shop when I can PC.

Hey there KT fam! Yes firstly that driver ripping they fuel line off was absolutely comical never thought I'd see that. Also they do make mini 18 wheelers. They are usually at truck shows but I think they are kits but I'm not sure. Kayla good job on nailing that back. At my company we have guys who can't even back 28 foot dump trailers. Always good content. Stay safe

For the lost part its the east coasti usually start up at 1am and I'm done by like 2-3pm (car hauler) but when I do run a bit later I've noticed the east coast is the issue with shortage of employees mainly from VA and North of it

Those containers are a damn pain. So im not judging you because the latches will fight with you on damn near all of them. I have some stories i can share for sure. I've dealt with my fair share and this is coming from a logistics guy who deals with trailers for the past 2yrs. I've maybe see nand touched... Hmm.. 7 thousand trailers if not more? In 1 year lol gottabe more though. Also the fact u know how to slide ur tandoms is good cause holy mother of god how many drivers have i met i literally had to do it for them....SMH and i didnt have a CDL but was studying at the time.. still am lol

Kayla, it very well could be that these places are very short staffed for whatever reason that they can’t afford to stay open longer hours. It sucks because I experienced the same thing when I still drove OTR (got off the road in November and drive short haul now). If you can think about it in advance, try to call ahead to possible truck stops/travel plazas on the route you’re traveling on and get info on their business hours for Subway, Popeyes, McDonald’s, etc. Good luck and stay safe while traveling these roads! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

The best thing you can do is invest in a cheap printer for the truck I had one when I drove it makes thing so much easier if you need a copy you can just make it yourself just saying be safe out there 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍🤩🤩

Young black guys drive those automatic trucks to fast in fuel islands and truck stops. It's funny watching them try to back up too or pull on to a tight scale at a shipper.
They have the little power wheels semi at our Walmart in San Antonio Tx.
I think they should definitely have the restaurant’s open late..They know truck driver’s drive all night and wanna eat once they get a chance..That is crazy how the close so early like it’s a holiday or something..And you did fabulous on your backing as always…awww lol it’s cute when your shy talking to the camera or recording..that was nice they helped you get those doors closed and he had a hard time closing them also..lol the little power wheel’s car’s…that would be so cute!

I Love going to Carlisle PA and back down. We drove a route to Findlay Ohio and Indiana.... Oh my gosh I freaking hated it. Im thinking its because we had to go through the mountains and I was over it lol.

I'm not a trucker, but I agree with you, it should stay open 24hrs at all truck stop. But if that not the options, I would try doordash, because they can bring the food to you at the truckstop when you need as late as midnight.

A lot of places have closed early due to covid. It started with the precautions but now a lot of it is people don't want to work.

A microwave a refrigerator keep your truck stocked with some kind of food and you won't have to worry what time restaurants close you will have food 24/7 that's my advice
They are not always conveniently located near a Walmart to purchase supplies😎
Their cooler is a limited space model. Must supplement w/ OTR restaurants.

They can’t get enough people to work…many are refusing to go back to work still which makes it a real pain in the butt for us drivers who work late or teams where someone is up overnight..it sucks walking in to get some food from a restaurant we all expoto be open and it’s not..frustrating to say the least.

You doin intermodal now? Dcli chassis suck old and rusty can’t slide no tandems I got tips but u probably know these if u having trouble sliding the rusty chassis tandems disconnect the service air and connect the trailer air supply to the service side of the chassis get in the truck and push in both brakes and it would lock the tandem brakes more than with the normal hook up and u should be able to slide the tandems one other thing if ur container is slightly lifted up on the back end and u can’t lock ur back chassis locks try sliding the tandems back and that should push the chassis up and the container would sit better so u can get the locks locked
