That dude clearly skipped his courtesy pills in the first instance. In the merge onto 459, he was straight up being an A$S!! Good job keeping your head. That is a tricky merge on a good day (it's right near my home), but that driver made it dangerous. He clearly isn't a pro!

Been driving 41 years things have changed alot through the years your not wrong but neither is he the big road does not have to yeld to the on ramp no matter what people think you have to expect some drivers will not yeld or can't if other trucks cars are around but the new book of driving is different lol but I haven't been able to find it
Finally, someone speaking the truth. The vehicle entering the highway has all the responsibility to safely enter the highway by adjusting your speed properly. The traffic in the right lane can choose to move over safely for your vehicle to enter but it’s not mandatory. Your job entering is to not cause other drivers to have to slow down for your entry.

Driving a tractor-trailer at night can be risky, on I-81 South thru MD another tractor-trailer almost hit a car on my Left side last night he was going TOO fast, I don't think the 🇺🇸 needs any Foreign Commercial Truck Drivers.
Two semis wrecked out on 459 last week (don't remember the details) but i remember thinking: how does that shit happen? Ok, now i get it. ☹️.

I don’t think he was honking because he knew it was merging. If that was the case and he really cared, he would have just slowed down and flashed me to get over..

I think some men have problems with female truck drivers. I've had this happen to me plenty of times. Them not letting me over, trying to run me off the road, trying to stop fast in front of me, and recording me. I'm not the one to play with people on the road so I know that I don't do anything to people it's literally them. I had one trying to run me off the road so I ended waking my boyfriend up and he immediately stopped smh. It was like he was shocked to see him.
My guess it was an older driver too who knew better?? In my experience so called experienced drivers are the biggest assholes on the road for no reason

Way late to this party, but as a highway engineer I think the root cause of that second merge issue is that the lane drop is too short and doesn't have enough advance warning. I'm not about to bust out federal manuals for a youtube comment, but from memory and google earth the taper should be about twice what it is, the dotted line to your left should have extended one or two thousand feet further southwest down your exit ramp, and there should be some kind of signage that the right lane ends ahead almost as soon as the ramp to 459 broke off from eastbound 20.
So, yeah, the guy was probably a jerk, but you were set up to fail by the DOT and their consultants because ideally you would've known to drop back and work your way into the left lane much sooner.

Me and my wife are owner operators doing ltl team rarely stop moving 6,000 to 7,500 miles a week I'm on nights she on days they are many men who do not want a women in front of them or on the road with them we not governed and they get pissed she can pass they try to run her off the road cuss her on the cb and all kinds of other shi? It's crazy good luck

Driving nights after driving days is a rough change. I was pulling over and taking naps two times a trip for three weeks until I got adjusted. I didn’t see a sign saying that lane was ending. The only sign was the short stripes as the land was ending.
That makes sense about adjusting from day to night driving, even when I’m not driving at all I’m asleep by about 8pm lol I’m just used to being awake during the day. Naps are good because the at means you know your limits and you’re being safe. There was a lot going on with me watching that driver and then the straight truck coming into my lane, I should have seen the strips on the floor.

I rewatched the clips a few times I didnt see any markings on the road or signs on the side of road saying to merge left so wasn't ur fault since u didnt know and seem he beeped because he knew it merged and didnt want u to cut him off and ur right as a trucker as my self if I knew it merge I would of let the person in especially since u were more ahead of the the other truck
Look at the spacing of the dotted lines they become much closer when they lane was begging to end

I already know about them...no offense sweetie...when I got ran off the road in North Carolina 2 months ago...i f**cked the living sh**t out of that other truck with my company's truck and they saw it on video....i got lucky and didn't get fired...they said is their anything we can do for you....

Was he in the center lane when you came onto the highway?? Highway has right of way. Ramp has to yeild to Highway.
Watch the video. Highway has right away if he were to be next to me. I’m not going to slow down for a truck that has barely even reached my trailer he should have slowed down.
@@KaylaTaylorTrucking I'm talking about when you first came on to the highway originally, where the car is on the shoulder looking at your left hood mirror it looks like (may be deceiving though) he was in the right lane as you merged on. Yes it a courtesy to move over or slow down. But thats it. He may have not been able to safely move over right away.
The 2nd time yes he should have let you in. Even though he was pulling away from you exept when he couldn't because of traffic in front of him. (He should have slowed down for you though ) im just saying i wonder if you might of pushed him over getting on.. and that angered him to do that crap (still not right though). And as far as not knowing the lane ended no there wasn't any signs but look at the lines when the lines are smaller and closer to each other like that that mean that lane ends.

Here in Ohio your not suppose to drive in that lane so people can merge onto the highway he was definitely wrong
