Berlin im März 1990. Nach den wohl zu ausgelassenen Feiern bei Jahreswechsel 1989/1990 wird die Quadriga auf dem Dach des Brandenburger Tores, so stark beschädigt, dass sie zur Restaurierung demontiert werden muss. Die Reporter und Kameramänner postieren sich auf den Resten der Berliner Mauer, um das Geschehen festzuhalten. Nach der Wende von November 1989 steht die DDR hier im Frühjahr 1990 nur sechs Monate vor ihrem Ende als eigenständiger Staat. Anfragen: [e-mail]
Berlin in March 1990. After the exuberant celebrations at the turn of the year 1989/1990, the Quadriga on the roof of the Brandenburg Gate was so badly damaged that it had to be dismantled for restoration. Do you have any video from 1990 showing this area with many tables set up selling Soviet military medals, pins, uniforms, military gear, etc.? I was at the Brandenburg Gate in 1990 and I promise you, it looked like a huge flea market of Soviet Army gear and other things with many tables covered with this stuff.
