Die ersten Aufnahmen vom Reichstag mit Kuppel stammen vermutlich aus dem Jahr 1957. The first pictures of the Reichstag showing the dome on the top of the building are possbily dated from 1957.

"Irgendwie" aber auch nicht. Ich war grad eine Woche in Berlin und kann das nicht bestätigen. Hat mir als Münchner gut gefallen.
Hammer, wenn man überlegt, dass ein Großteil der gefilmten Personen heute gar nicht mehr lebt… Eine schöne Zusammenfassung solch alltäglicher Dinge, wobei das Problem ja immer ist, dass man im Moment des Filmens ja nichts Besonderes aufnimmt und man es deshalb oft unterlässt…
Ich liebe solche Filmaufnahmen gibt mir als 2000er Kind einen Einblick in eine Zeit die man höchstens aus Erzählungen oder Bildern kennt
Ein tolles Zeitdokument!!!
Sicherlich gab es damals auch viele Probleme. Dennoch geht es mir beim Anschauen dieser Filme immer so, dass ich den Wunsch habe, die Zeit zurückzudrehen. Selbst Berlin, das für mich heute das Tor zur Hölle ist, wirkt hier in diesem Film so sauber und aufgeräumt. So friedlich. Ich hätte da gerne gelebt. Mir ist bewusst, dass das naive Gedanken sind. Auch damals gab es sicherlich viele Probleme. Hier wird natürlich nur die Schokoladenseite gezeigt. Die heutige Zeit ist mir zu bunt und zu schnelllebig.
I ran through the Brandenburg Tor approaching end of Half Marathon in Berlin this year (2023). Really felt emotional not just finishing a half marathon in an amazing city but also the history of who was allowed to go through that gate during the time of the wall especially the poor east Berliners who would have loved to walk through that gate. I studied German in college and wished we had studied about the east. We studied a lot of literature that was mainly western. It’s only now when I am older that I am reading eastern literature. It’s so sad but I really found the tour that was given by former inmate at Stasi prison Hohenschönhausen so interesting
I grew up in Iran but the cars of my childhood take me back! Thanks for sharing!

5:06 Wenn man einmal auf die Preise der Technik-Elektro Abteilung schaut , man kann die Preise ja erkennen erfährt man das diese Geräte im Vergleich zu heute, damals sehr sehr viel teurer waren..Auch im Vergleich wie viel man von seinem Gehalt damals dafür ausgeben musste.
Die Stalinallee wurde erst 1961 in Karl- Marx- Allee umbenannt.
I find the statue of Stalin still standing in East Berlin strange (2:50). By 1960 Khrushchev had purged all depictions of Stalin from Public view. Yet in East Berlin there's a statue of him.
Bemerkenswerte Aufnahmen, ein großes Danke für das Einstellen. Die im Film zu sehende Bahnhofsruine dürfte der Anhalter Bahnhof sein.

1960…the year of my birth (my parents are from Germany, but I was born in USA)….so it’s interesting to see what Germany looked like then…15 years after the war….amazing how quickly the Germans rebuilt.

Wow, this is first time I noticed that Soviet's restored Quadriga and Victoria without Iron cross and eagle. Always a good time to learn something new. Same as they didn't restore Berliner Dom cupolas as they were before bombing.
It wasn't the Soviets that did that. It was East Germany.
Fascinating, I recognise quite a few locations , many changes though!

Can still see signs of damage from the war, 15 years later - the Reichstag and a few others still unrestored, otherwise seems very spacious, clean and serene (though there must have been tensions beneath the surface in East Berlin).
some was intentionally left permanently unrestored, such as the church seen from approx 4.17-4.24.
It’s hilarious, how they thought all the new roads represented progress.

Weiß jemand, in welchem Jahr diese Stalin-Skulptur 2:44 entfernt wurde? Das gigantische Stalin-Denkmal in Prag, wurde 1962 abgerissen.

All the buildings look immaculate. Everything is brand-new. I bet Berlin smelled of fresh paint back then. Really nice footage 👌
