Honestly, as a former ride operator. I always told big people that they weren’t allowed to ride. They would cuss me out and berate me but it was for their own safety, no regrets
@@Faiith1964 the bars should have come across his body and almost touched the seat horn. With the hydraulic locks there was really no need for a seat belt. The manufacturer can argue that the seat contours acted as first restraint and the bars the second. Now Tyres bars stopped at his stomach not groin like they should have. They left a huge gap at least a foot or two. Enough that he could slip out when almost seven hundred pounds of pressure was forces against the restraint. What I can almost guaranteed happened was there was a double click locking system, Tyre clicked only once leaving the huge gap. Tyre was reported on saying there was play in the restraints. So when the ride went up slowly he was fine. But then it tilted forward dropping him at a high rate of speed on top of those lose restraints. The restraints had just enough play in them that it gave him enough room to slip down and out especially since he was not in the seat contours. Once he exited the restraints went to a proper locking position. This though we won’t know because the ride operators (against all ways I have been trained) opened the ride restraints leaving it impossible to know the position of Tyres restraint upon landing. The ride operator no matter how mad the riders got called a supervisor and had them manually release riders. Calling the supervisor would have given the park time to photograph the seats before release.
I know that no one wants to hurt people's feelings, but if someone is too large for a ride, they should have told them so. That's not "fat-shaming", that's being honest about his safety and it could have saved his life!
💯 I was told I was too big for a ride in Orlando once upon a time and since then it inspired me to lose over 60 pounds! I was embarrassed that day and knew I needed to do something about my weight, so I did.
I know but still it can be embarrassing and it's bad enough there are people who are self conscious and insecure about their bodies and with low self esteem
@@savants08 I was rejected from riding the Texas Giant at Six Flags, and having to get out of the seat was embarrassing alone, and even more so embarrassing that they had a chicken coupe to watch from if you couldn't ride. And with that lady falling off the ride and dying a few years back, I was more than okay with that. I will most certainly take embarrassment over death any day. All they had to do was be honest with him. As a ride operator, safety should be their absolute #1 concern, period. And no one should be able to operate a ride unless they know the full scope and limitations of said ride.
As a former ride operator, it is very clear whether or not someone is safely secure in the ride. It is never fun telling someone they are too big to ride but it has to be done.
All of my experiences (as a normal citizen with normal body & weight) at theme park rides, operators would look at the screen, walk around to everyone's seat, jerk on it, return to their position THEN launch. Although people blame the manufacturers and surveyors, ultimately it's the
As a theme park and roller coaster enthusiast, I've been on many drop-tower rides in my life. Every one of them had a safety latch on the harness as a failsafe to prevent riders from falling out of their seats. Why this drop-tower didn't have one is beyond me. Yes, the ride operators should have not let Tyre Sampson ride this attraction; but the manufacturer is equally, if not more, at fault for building and manufacturing a ride with such safety negligence.
If only there was an extra seatbelt like they asked. Either a side seatbelt (like tower of terror) or the one that clips to the bottom of the harness (like those launch towers).
@@everythiingmusiic That was the dumbest question I've ever heard someone ask. How the fuck would the workers know why the ride doesn't have a seatbelt. If you were that worried about the ride's design why would you ride it.
Yoo that what I'm saying I'm a big guy and I been in rides like this one and they always have the little seat belt between the bottom of the seat and shoulders lock.
Well said Blacktron - many are quickly judging the young employees, but the manufacturer needs to be held accountable for this deadly design flaw and the lack of a seatbelt. The ride should never be able to go up with a harness at that angle. The computer system allowed this yet at that angle people can slip out. Deadly design flaw. Yes the workers have some responsibility, but this ride was poorly designed.
It's chilling to see how happy he is and knowing that within another minute he will be dead. This happy 14 year old thought he had a long life ahead of him like we all did at the age of 14. That poor kid. I wish those operators would have had the balls to tell him no.
@@vickieclark5931 it is chilling to see him knowing what happened next. We don’t know if the workers were scared to tell him he couldn’t ride. That hasn’t been determined yet. I just can’t believe all people around him in the video, including his friends and the guy filming, couldn’t see his harness was too high! We can see it so how could they not?
It was actually manually adjusted by someone to make it so the safety lights turned on at double the height it usually does. His harness had a 7.19 inch gap where all the others, except for one right next to it only had a 3 inch gap.
@@HairyJuan I saw that update. My mind can't fathom how a human body, let alone a huge human body, could slide through 7 inches. What am I missing here. Is it true that 2 harnesses were fooled with? Operators had to know... otherwise how would they know which seat to sit him in. Not saying they did it at all, nor was it their fault (because I don't know if it is or isn't). Just saying they knew.
His parents should have told him he was2 big b4 they left home...The PARK should have warned him no riding to big after he arrived, he is a child.💯👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
My family and I saw the uncensored fall video and was heartbroken. My mom started crying at the pain of losing a child. This was so tragic. We went to the vigil as well to show support, the sadness that filled the air that day was heavy
I watched the video and I started crying too especially that I am a mummy and I have a 17 year old well built tall son.😪😪💔💔💔. Especially when read that he told his friend to tell his mom and dad that he loves them. I watched it last night and it trauma me. Hope he is in heaven with the Angel's
It’s such a sad tragic thing that happen I cried as well it’s tooo sad!! This is one of my worst fears of amusement rides so sad my heart goes out to his family ❤️ poor boy may his soul rip and prayers for his family 🙏
I remember going to the state fair as a kid, and the workers didn't give a care about safety. I remember this one time not being buckled in tightly, granted it was just a swing type ride, but I still felt like I was going to fall out. Now that I'm an adult I realize half those ride operators were either drunk or high.
I saw a guy fall off one of those swing rides at a carnival. He hit the ground hard and wasn’t moving. He could have easily knocked over onlookers but by the grace of God, he didn’t. I never found out if that guy was ok or not.
I worked at a fair as a helper when they came in town. The fairs that travel from state to state. A lot of those worker be high. Every night most of them were looking to purchase drugs. Hard drugs!
When I was a kid I went to one and was on the “Ring of Fire” where it was just a ring and the rollercoaster cart thingy just went around and hung up top where you were hanging upside down. Each time it hung up there I felt myself falling. I remember pressing my feet to whatever I could to try and hold myself in. I’ll never forget it.
Really sad yes he was a big boy, but in this video you could see how young he was. Had his whole life ahead of him. I pray for the family, but also his best friend all he is going to remember is his seeing his friend die. I hope they get him the help he needs
It's kinda eery that you say this. In this video when he was still alive, he was looking around with such innocence. Even though he was so big, in that moment, he looked like a little baby in a car seat.
I watched the uncensored video of him falling and because that shoulder restraint was so high on him, he slid right under it when he fell. It does not matter if they had green lights or if it was "locked", it was sitting up to high on him. The ride operators are at fault for his death for allowing him to ride and the park is at fault for apparently not giving the ride operators proper training.
With reference to the workers that's all in hindsight their job is to go through their checks their checks says it was locked and that he should have stayed in the ride. How were they supposed to think about him slipping underneath it it's not a common occurrence. I'm 90% sure that they are told if they can lock it the person can ride. I do agree that they should have been trained better but the operators did all that they were supposed to. Most people don't want to see someone fall from 400' + in the air on their shift.
@@djdavisiscool *the workers fault PERIOD!!* He was over the max weight limit by almost 60lbs! If they can't see that then they need to go TF back to school!
@@TarHeelForevah You have no clue what was said to these workers. 60 pounds is it that much to smudge. Having worked rides with weight limits It's tricky to tell when someone's telling you the truth and people are very happy to lie to be 60 pounds lighter but they never believe it will happen to them. Workers have no problem telling you can't ride this ride they probably don't want you in their line to begin with. Until you work one of these jobs you won't understand the enjoyment of telling someone they can't ride it because that's one more person in the park that won't be getting in your line again.
That poor boy, it had to be hard to be that tall and big... he wouldn't have wanted to miss out, but rides are not made to fit every body. My heart goes out to his family and everyone who was there that day including the ride operators.
He still made his family millions; just not with football. He was turned away from that particular ride and others all night. How could he sit there and not notice his harness wasn't sitting where everyone else's was?!
Just because the harness is down and locked, it still doesn’t mean it was secure. Green light or not, we can all see he unfortunately was too big for that ride. Such a sad tragedy that could have been avoided.
I’ve seen this before people ride rides despite the harness not closing but I thought the workers walked around and checked every ride ain’t no way if that was locked he was that big where it could have unlocked and went back down the park is trying convince otherwise and that’s foul I bet my last he knew in his mind 14 or not that he was just too big for that ride but wanted to ride with his bestie sadly death was the outcome he most likely thought he could hold it down with his weight so he wouldn’t fall out and once gravity and force took off he was dropped to his or slid to his death either way rip I would have told my friend fuck that we choosing something else it ain’t that deep I feel bad for his friend and pray his boy doesn’t have nightmares rip ty
@@grandmaida7819 the point isnt about being big. Its that his stomach was too big for the harness to completely shut. Once those brakes hit, that was it unfortunately. He went right under the seat since it wasn’t a secure lock.

As someone who works for Walt Disney World. On the times that I go on rides I always make double sure that the harness. It’s on tightly when I’m on one of these rides. Even when I’ve gone to other theme parks like SeaWorld Universal Studios and Bush Gardens. The people in those theme parks always make double sure. That you are safely secure. I had to rewatch the video several times. And you could clearly see that his harness wasn’t fully secure. Even though the guy in the video said he checked him. It’s very clear that he didn’t check him well enough. It just makes me very sad knowing that he came to Orlando to have fun. And he ended up losing his life. Because somebody just didn’t feel the need to make sure that he was safe.
Seems like the employee just checked the lights on the machine and didn’t actually check the seats. Wasn’t doing their job properly. A lot of people in the video where screaming before the ride went up “SEAT BELTS”. So I don’t think the actual seats where check at all.
I hate that this happend to such a young boy! sending Love and healing to his family and friends!!!! Mr./Miss Alexis Burgos, i have some questions! Is there a weight limit on these rides? because it could be that when someone is physically Xtra Large, the harness won't close properly?? and is it possible that with the movement of the ride, the riders tend to lean forward as the ride desends with high speed?? leaving a possibility to fall out if the ride is not closed up properly??
@@ThatQueen30 Well first of all it’s Mr. and to answer your question yes there is weight limits. On those rides but for everything else I’m not sure. I guess that’s something you’ll have to look up. Sorry I can’t be more help to you.
The pictures don't lie. Also the audio of the riders asking about seat belts and the attendant saying "no we don't have those" and in the background another person verbally saying "he's not locked in"!!! The attendants appeared to ignore their concerns and started the ride. I have been on rides where the attendants come around and MAKE SURE everyone is secured correctly BEFORE the ride starts! They did not do that here. That is so sad!!!
They’re using the terms “down and locked” very loosely. The bottom of the over shoulder restraints was resting on top of his belly. Up high. Leaving a huge gap where his hips could get thrown out. They need to be clear when they say it was down and locked, because that never happened in a way to where it would be considered down and locked for useful purposes. They’re playing with words to keep their asses clear on that lawsuit. But they messed up. The evidence is there.
Yeah, I think it's possible that ride operators weren't clearly instructed on the size/weight limits and how the harnesses fit. Just because it locked in doesn't mean it was in a down enough position to keep him in
In the uncensored audio/video you can hear His friend yelling his name from the top of the ride as he was falling, it happened so fast, but the friend was crying and yelling his name. Once they were released from the ride, As he walked up to get his sneakers, he stood there staring at him laid out of that pavement, then tried calling his name again🥲
I feel bad because I heard he was denied from the rides because of his weight. He was probably so excited to finally be on one and then he falls to his death. I hope he’s doing better in heaven

Seeing this makes me sick, so sick. You can see his harness doesn’t even go down. He shouldn’t have been on. Now a 14 yr old is gone and in a devastating way. I’m praying so hard for his family and friend
Totally agree, it’s so clear the amount of space that’s there for him to fall AND the fact that the holster not the seat had adequate building between the crotch, that little stub there wouldn’t have kept anyone in if that seat had had any give to it what so ever. It was only a matter of time until someone fell out of that ride.

This is exactly what I was thinking happened. The harness was locked to hold him down but it wasn't down far enough to keep him in his seat & he slipped underneath it. :(
@@jaderose3175 I don’t think they can be sued for that. Not if it’s not a requirement by law. The ride maker even was quoted saying he advocated for no seatbelts.
That's obviously the design flaw here. If they were just going to use the shoulder gate as the thing that holds you down it definitely needs to be secured all the way to the seat so that someone can't slip through the bottom which is exactly what happened.

I held onto the back of my brothers seat next to me and he held tightly onto me too for the remainder of the ride and was so glad i made it out alive. i held on so hard my arm had bruises. I never gripped onto any object so hard in my life that day. I was terrified. My brother noticed also and held me down as best he could and we had our pictures taken also at the end of it. Oh my God. Thie seat was clearly too small for this child. The attendants did not pay attention to details. Poor baby; this must have been very terrifying for him. My condolences to his family. I have a 14 year old nephew and this breaks my heart💔
The attendants KNEW he was too big for the ride, he was told a number of times he couldn’t ride it. He kept coming back begging/getting upset (police report said he was loud about it) wanting to ride with his friends and the operator finally let him in. So the attendant KNEW he shouldn’t have been riding it because he was too big. So they should have triple checked that harness or pulled him from the ride if they couldn’t get it to click into place. That simple.
@@animaanimus8011 it did click into place. Why are you spreading misinformation? He was too big, therefore the restraint clicked into place at a location that was too far away from his lap, leaving a big gap that he slipped under.
Presuming negligence on the part of the operators is unfair. There is no information regarding the type of training they had. If they followed all of the procedures they were trained to follow, then this tragedy would have NOTHING to do with them not paying attention to details and they would not be in any way at fault. That information is unknown, so presuming the operators were at fault is wrong.
Closed the ride a life was loss. Put your selve in parents shoes. What would you wanted done if that was your child you loss. Due to the negligence of the park staff and the manufacturer of the ride. As someone that has lost a lot of people I needed in my life, I understand, but there are also dangerous social media influencers that this video needs to be shown to for their followers to understand that being assertive about these rules will save their lives.
that's what i'm wondering? Did the 'lock' technically engage so the light went green but it was still not over his lap properly? I'm wondering if it's possible they noticed and had the thought 'this kid is so big there's no way he's just gonna fall off the ride' without considering that the ride is design to try its best to push you out.
Yes, it does. He wasn't ejected though; he literally slipped through the space caused by the harness being too high. When the ride reaches the top, it tilts forward. In Tyres' case, his weight was place on the harness when it tilted, and he shifted in his seat. It drops right after it tilts. He couldn't even hold on. It's a tragedy! He shouldn't have been allowed to ride at all!
Most likely it works on a ratchet design to be able to accommodate varying body types up to 287 pounds. Sadly the young boy was over the limit by 18%. With the tilting of the seats and a gap that large just spelled disaster
Every ride of this type should have a buckle. Why was there no buckle between the seat and the harness? With that little feature, operations would have known he was too big because the buckle would not have engaged when the shoulder harness did not home down all the way. RIP Tyre. I hope many many new regulations come out of this tragedy.
Those overweight shouldn’t force themselves on rides not designed for them and workers shouldn’t allow it harsh truth , there’s rides that can be accommodating without lives being in jeopardy
The attendants KNEW he was too big for the ride. According to the police report, he was told he couldn’t ride but kept coming back multiple times with his friends begging (and yelling about it, apparently) to ride. The attendant finally let him ride despite knowing it was risky because of his size. So I’m shocked they didn’t triple check his shoulder harness, unless they were poorly trained and thought it was locked enough. The other employees (who aren’t fired for this incident) need training and to be empowered to throw people out of the park. He was just a kid being a kid, but plenty of adults throw tantrums when they don’t get what they want these days too. Employees shouldn’t be pressured to keep the customer happy at all times when sometimes they have to be told no for safety reasons. And if they keep it up they can be kicked out of the park altogether, but safe and alive. If you yourself or your child is overweight or obese you need to be extra careful about getting on rides. If you’re told you’re too big, while embarrassing, accept it and stay safe. I feel awful for the family and for him. The best we can do as a society is learn from the accident and prevent it from happening.

What’s irritating is his death was preventable if he listened to the ride operators. He was told that he was too big for the other rides and so he went on the free fall that had a amateur teen ride operator that didn’t care about safety.

So literally the thing that this ride bragged about (not having a living belt in the middle) is what killed this poor young man. Huge oversight by the company that designed this.
@@stellarwind1946 well it could possibly be adequate for other less intense rides. This one is the tallest drop tower AND tilts, so a lot more force is put on that harness. One of the reasons I don’t ride stuff like this though.

They failed this young teen. I am pretty sure they didn’t check him. No one would admit to such a high level of negligence. It is called saving your ass.
No he was too big to be on the ride regardless its everyone's fault, his father even said that usually other parks don't let him get on rides because of his size 6'4 350 that's a damn nfl linemen.
As a non-ride expert, it looks up to me. Even if it was locked in that position, it looks like there was enough room for him to slide out and fall when the ride started to brake on the way down. When the ride slowed down, his momentum pulled him down and out of his seat. He was probably too big to be on that ride safely. The ride operators should not have let him on. Poor training if the ride operators were not may aware of this. Maybe a secondary seat-belt restraint would have saved him.
His friend next to him reported that once the ride tilted forward shifting his weight to the gap left between the shoulder lock and seat he told him to tell his parents that he loves them

i also remember being told to get off a ride and that i was allowed to ride, because i was too small. probably right before i was tall enough or something because it was a whileeee ago again, rightfully they denied me, because i could’ve slipped right out probably… aaaaaand wouldn’t be here today 😓
With racial discrimination always being an issue, I feel the operator was almost pressured by society. He was like, "nah, I tell him he can't get on they gonna think im being racist. Ima lose my job, and we gonna get boycott"
There’s no way it was “partially secured.” As you can see, the part intended to lock between the riders legs was completely IN THE AIR. Only negligence explains why that wasn’t caught. Regardless, the ONLY logical explanation is that the harness slammed shut upon the ride stopping, after he had fallen out.
its so sad but you can clearly see that his over head bar is not on properly or even connected to the actual seat. its horrible that they let him on !!!
Lies if you watch the video till the end a guy says did you check light side seat belts he keeps saying seat belt left side cuz no he did not check & he even answers no ! Turn it up & watch it back till the very end when the ride starts to go up ! This happened because they was not doing their job & need to be held responsible for this poor young mans death who had his life ahead of him & was taken from him when all he wanted was too have fun !
I watched it and you are correct!! I said the same thing. He was too busy running his mouth with the other people - he did try to pull the empty seat harnesses up tho- I seen that part. By the time someone said did u check the left side - it was too late ! The ride was already going up! THEN HE LIED AND SAID YES, I CHECKED… his harness was definitely not in place. Them things be soooo tight, I get on rides like that all the time.. It definitely would NOT have been properly locked - IF THAT RIDE OPERATOE WOULD HAVE JUST CHECKED IT!!!
So apparently they say that’s a way to scare the people riding the ride .. adds more suspense and they say due to covid the ride was design to be touchless that’s why the workers relied on the green lights on the control panel instead of actually checking riders
He wasn't talking about Tyre, he was talking to the trio that he was having a conversation with. It's a joke to scare riders. They say it just as ride starts. He said "Check your left seatbelt. The LEFT seatbelt." It's crazy, because I'm sure Tyre heard him, and panicked. You can tell he was having doubts. He kept glancing around nervously. He _knew_ he was too big to ride and that he didn't fit in the chair properly. However, I totally agree, the operators should have realized that Tyres' harness was significantly higher than the others and checked him again. Or didn't allow him to ride at all. But they're kids who doesn't know how to use their discretion. They only know green light means go, press button. It's a tragedy!

One of the biggest lessons to learn here is that tomorrow is never promised to anyone, things can change in a blink of an eye, always be good to your family, friends, pets etc, be with them as much as you can, always good to be humble and never boast, cause you might be driving a fancy car, or living in a huge house, or have selfish materialistic things, which you cannot take with you, when you leave this world, you leave empty, perhaps leaving it all behind for others to have it, if someone you know that has caused you pain, just forget and forgive, to have a clear mind and conscious, makes you a much better person, at least your heart will be at ease, and trust me, it is a lot better than having those fancy things that I have mentioned.....which always makes you wanting more and more and never satisfied, Live, love and enjoy...This kid will never be missed, his parents and family will treasure those moments....
There was at least one time that I was on a ride at an amusement park and the person in charge of locking my seat didn't make sure it clicked and I was much more petite in build than I am now. I pulled it down on my own until it clicked and thought nothing of it. But seeing how this boy flew off, I now realize I saved my own life on the ride. Some workers are careless by accident, and others on purpose. But never put your life in someone else's hands. Your safety is ultimately your own responsibility. Especially if you're black.
Yes and sometimes they come by so fast they barely even check enough to be certain. I’d really like to know what the ride attendant has to say about this. He said he checked it and the light was lit. I just think it would be obvious it wasn’t on right.
When I have been on that ride and the seat gets locked in place I can NOT move to the point of it being painful. He was clearly not locked in properly.
Boys around this age are so cheeky and playful, reminds me of a little brother looking at him in the video, so sad! I hope the parents Sue the sh*t out of everyone they can.
The kid was already denied of most cool rides in the park because of his size so the operator of this ride felt bad for him and tried to accommodate him. Unfortunately, the operator's kindness cost him his life.
God bless his family and give them strength. My condolences to them all sending peace and light 🙏🏾 I pray his soul can rest this is truly devastating 😞 Rip Young Prince🫅🏾
Media blaming this child's weight when the reality of the situation is the park modified the restraints (without authority from the ride manufactor) to accommodate larger guests.
I feel so weak and drained and helpless when I see Tyre sitting on that seat waiting to go up, my heart my soul, its drained smh R.I.P TY #40 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Im so heartbroken.
If you haven't accept Jesus as your Savior, know He is the Son of God, know He died on the Cross for our sins and repent of sins. When you die this will get you into Heaven.
No matter what he or his family told the person operating the ride they are 100% at fault. It is your job to make sure everyone is secure for safety smh this is heartbreaking.
It appears they did make sure he was locked in, the locked light was on and the ride won’t operate if everyone isn’t locked in. I don’t think the attendant had the training or knowledge to actually understand that by the way the harness was locking him in was leaving too much room down below and that on the way down he could be thrust out. I don’t think those workers ever thought about that or knew it could happen. They need better training. Now if they DID know it was dangerous and still squeezed him in there then they are wrong.
im going to put more blame on the design of the safety mechanism, it wasn't tested enough so that it was possible for it to show green that means it locked but it wasn't accounting for how much of said person was hanging out under the bottom of the shoulder gate. If there was a seatbelt connecting to the middle of the shoulder gate from the seat he would still be alive because it would have at least prevented him from slipping underneath which is what happened in the video.
The harness was most likely not designed for people above the weight limit set for the ride and the harness could only go so far before it locked. He shouldn't have been allowed on the ride and once he was in the workers should have taken the time to look and see something isn't right but all they did was wait for the green light letting them know the harness was locked.
Even though they don’t add anything to the strength of the harness, a simple belt would ensure two things. One, that the harness is indeed pulled down enough to safely secure the rider and two, prevent anyone from slipping out.
A lot of rides have a belt lock that connects from the harnest and goes in between the legs incase the harness fails. I wonder why this ride didn't have one...
Honestly, as a former ride operator. I always told big people that they weren’t allowed to ride. They would cuss me out and berate me but it was for their own safety, no regrets
Same here. You could see that Tyre did not fit in the contours of his seat. And the restraints were not probably locked.
They would berate you? Wow maybe you should of just let them die if thats what they wanted.
Yep! 👍🏻
@@deannacolegate4147 The harnest bars was about level with his neck

All of my experiences (as a normal citizen with normal body & weight) at theme park rides, operators would look at the screen, walk around to everyone's seat, jerk on it, return to their position THEN launch.

A seatbelt would've revealed he was too large for the ride
Well said Blacktron - many are quickly judging the young employees, but the manufacturer needs to be held accountable for this deadly design flaw and the lack of a seatbelt. The ride should never be able to go up with a harness at that angle. The computer system allowed this yet at that angle people can slip out. Deadly design flaw. Yes the workers have some responsibility, but this ride was poorly designed.

Workers have no problem telling you can't ride this ride they probably don't want you in their line to begin with.

@@Chadius_Thundercock the sad part is he knew and felt something was wrong while they were going up. He was scared and praying he'd make it.

@@Tmcb2025 A 150 lbs person wouldn't have this problem, his big body was preventing the harness from going down fully, but regardless like the op said, it shouldn't "lock" unless fully down
I was on the raging bull at 6 flags and the seat unlocked mid ride right after the first drop. The terror and adrenaline rush was insurmountable. I paid for that picture and its been a traumatizing memory for me ever since. I've never been on a roller coaster since that day 7 years ago. I hate that this young man died for something that was supposed to be safe and fun. My heart hurts just looking at the excitement he felt getting on that ride. My son looks so much like him. It makes me want to cry. I can't imagine the fury and sadness the dad must feel after all of this. What makes me angry is after the ride ended they just taped up the seat i was in and kept the ride going all day long as if i didnt almost die. These parks put money before safety.
His death of that day kept coming to my mind it has me feel so sympathetically heavy for him and his family. If I were there as his best friend sitting by him also, I would've told to get off to hear him say something is wrong. Hearing the body smack gives me the creeps. His friends are still terrified will badly haunt them forever. It isn't their fault. Tyre should've been at home alive continuing to build up more of his future dreams. Sadly, the deadly ride robbed his life. I was 14 back then almost gonna be 30. This boy can't grow up anymore which saddens me.
@@animaanimus8011 You know this how?
@@animaanimus8011 it did click into place. Why are you spreading misinformation? He was too big, therefore the restraint clicked into place at a location that was too far away from his lap, leaving a big gap that he slipped under.
@@animaanimus8011 frl
Presuming negligence on the part of the operators is unfair. There is no information regarding the type of training they had. If they followed all of the procedures they were trained to follow, then this tragedy would have NOTHING to do with them not paying attention to details and they would not be in any way at fault. That information is unknown, so presuming the operators were at fault is wrong.
Closed the ride a life was loss. Put your selve in parents shoes. What would you wanted done if that was your child you loss. Due to the negligence of the park staff and the manufacturer of the ride. Imagine loosing your son or daughter and there last moment are shared over and over again on national tv is devastating. What would you wanted done?
Imagine having your kid go to a park like this at that size knowing he shouldn't be their thats the terrible part also
As Tragic as this is, you don’t think the constant media coverage and plastering of videos is disrespectful towards a grieving family. EVERYWHERE they turn, there’s the same “new footage”. Please let him rest and the family heal
They should stop its just sad
As someone that has lost a lot of people I needed in my life, I understand, but there are also dangerous social media influencers that this video needs to be shown to for their followers to understand that being assertive about these rules will save their lives.
So the harness “locks” in various positions? Because clearly his harness was up way too high and that’s why he was ejected.
Yeah his was raised because he was a Fatty Mcgee.
My question exactly!
that's what i'm wondering?
@@brooklyngurl09 For God's sake it is a 14 year old kid. You can't expect that level of judgement from him.

There is a reason his harness didn't come all the way down. It's because of his shoulders. That's as far as it would have gone down. He even looks partially slouched off his seat. They should have not let him on the ride, period, not necessarily due to weight, but mass + height. Staff did not manually check harnesses or ignored otherwise they would have easily seen this. I'm confused as to why the patrons weren't manually checked. Every ride I've been on at other theme parks, were always checked manually by pulling on the harness and making sure you were buckled in.

You can see clearly he's not securely in his seat...the operators should be charged with negligence/manslaughter

He _knew_ he was too big to ride and that he didn't fit in the chair properly. However, I totally agree, the operators should have realized that Tyres' harness was significantly higher than the others and checked him again. Or didn't allow him to ride at all.
When you die this will get you into Heaven.

the sound of it when he fell just makes me sad
The operators should have refused him on this ride…but probably were reluctant to
due to any repercussions. 😰
What repercussions??? It was their job to make that call!
the big gap on his harness compare to the others is mind boggling no one notice that? are all the ride harness able to extend a gap that big?
The harness was most likely not designed for people above the weight limit set for the ride and the harness could only go so far before it locked. He shouldn't have been allowed on the ride and once he was in the workers should have taken the time to look and see something isn't right but all they did was wait for the green light letting them know the harness was locked.
I've never seen that before they literally compress you inside of that thing
@@tobecontinued436 yet the maker allowed the harness to expand in height that barely got over his shoulder and left open a huge gap at the bottom..
