Its not suposed to be in depth confusing overload irelavent information its a good summary of decent tyres. never heard any manufacturer admit not having a tread guarantee
For many of us, the biggest consideration is expected mileage. My experience is that our run flats have roughly 40 to 50% of the mileage life span we had with normal tyres.That's a lot of compromise for a bit of convenience most of us will never experience IMHO.
@@ipcamtalk4314 In the last 10 years I have each time replaced my BMW tyres with the current "best in market" for wear and performance. With regular driving around Sydney and some country miles, I am yet to see > 30K kms on a set, regularly seeing 60K+ kms on other vehicles, including other BMWs and a 911 (which was closer to 50K kms). In the early run flat days here in Australia, there were class actions against BMW for precisely this reason. Mine is far from an isolated experience. New tyres are due soon so I'm hopeful that the next lot will last more. Note: our car is fastidiously maintained, wheel alignments, pressures etc., and I am an experienced and calm driver. 🙂
If you want a tire that is NOT SECURE, that it will only last 6,000 miles, then buy a Bridgestone DriveGuard tire. Its innovation and technology are so good that despite the fact that neither the tire nor the rim have any visible signs of damage, the tire is unusable a year after it was purchased. It's a real shame to spend money on expensive tires that turn out to perform so poorly.
Wow, I was about to buy these. I'm sick of having to change tires in the hood, or the side of the highway. Since your tires had problems so early, were they replaced under warranty ? or at least pro-rated ?

Nonsense. You just happened to buy a specific tire with poor treadwear. There are many such tires that are not run flats.

I agree the Bridgestones are horrible. Had them ofr 2 years already replaced like 7 tires!

Toyo is a very low quality material!! Not stable characteristics!! Yokohama is better if you prefer asiatic factories
