So glad you both have discovered another one of the best female country artists from the 90's! This was actually her very first single and hit in 1991. Funny 'y'all should mention the Eagles, because Trisha has another big song of hers from 1992 called "Walkaway Joe," featuring Don Henley on backup vocals. You both should check that one out, too. Another one I think you'll enjoy is "Like We Never Had A Broken Heart," which is a personal favorite of mine, and was the follow up single to "She's In Love With The Boy."
Walkaway Joe is a great one. You also might want to try "On My Own"...Reba McEntire, Tricia Yearwood, Martina McBride, and Linda Davis. Great harmony!

We only had three daughters. Once a boy told our middle daughter he was coming to get her and she was going with him whether she liked it or not. Daddy blacked out and laid in wait in the front field close to the driveway with his deer rifle. He scared the shit out of that boy. He never called our daughter again.

I have 2 daughters. My oldest had been own her own for 8 years now. I got her 2 small hidden knives (comb & lipstick) and showed her what arteries to knick if she ever got into trouble. My youngest is 13. I've been teaching her self defense, too. They have a real mama bear here. They COULD break you...if you are scared of them. My Daddy had 3 girls and a boy. Daddy would take his gun out of his back waistline and put it on the entertainment center, when he came home from work. My boyfriends ended up on the other end of the sectional sofa, real quick. lol. Back to raising girls, I grew up in late 70s/80s. Once, after we girls got all made up, Daddy came into the livingroom and said, "I just saw a fly stuck in mid air, in that bathroom!" LMAO...we used A LOT of hairspray in that house in the 80s

I have seen her husband Garth Brooks in concert before (not only one of the best concerts I have EVER seen but also a great value for the quality of the show). But it was also great to see Trisha perform on her own and with her husband.

The truck in the opening is a Jeep. I almost didn't click on this one because I only remembered the part Keith remembered. I totally forgot the twist in the last verse. Pretty good writing.
When my little girl started to date we made her take her dog on the date. This dog was very protective and if a boy touched her.......he didn't do it twice. She told us later that more then one boy was bitten by her dog and she was glad we sent it lol

Absolutely, girls will break you lol. I have 1 teen daughter, dating age. She is a daddy's girl 100%. And he is a BIG mean looking guy lol. I have seen him in pink frilly aprons baking pink cupcakes. I have seen him refuse to take off his shoes because she had found my nail polish. But I have also been in the car when we are driving 90 to nothin through town in stoic silence because our baby girl (11 at the time) had been in a wreck where the car rolled. Ya, little girls can bring grown men to their knees. Hell, I had to buy him an ice cream to get him to stop crying her first day of school lol. She was fine. He was a mess bless him.

I'm so happy y'all got to Tricia. You don't hear it in many of her studio recordings but she has a big voice that can go toe to toe with Martina McBride. I've recommended it before so I'll do it again. You need to check out Walkaway Joe.

Someone told me when I was going to a bad area of town that I needed to take a gun for protection. I replied that I didn't need a gun, I was from West Virginia and I could hide their bodies where no one would ever find them.
BTW, Dad hunted and had a collection of guns (shotguns and rifles, along with a pistol or two). Three girls and a boy. I think the guns only came out with one of the guys my sister dated. Although all the guys knew he had guns and hunted.

Well let me tell you , coming from someone with 4 daughters, girls still destroy stuff but different things. At least in my house. And every day is a new lecture in safety in way or another. Unfortunately in this world it seems to just happen. Only 2 of the 4 are old enough to date and you better believe every young man that has come around has been subjected to a series of questions. So far only one has passed.
