As a PSU fan you guys should be on the lookout for Dani Dennis Sutton who is a big bodied complete edge rusher with great run defense on tape as well as a nice improving pass rush skillset. I think he’ll be a first round pick and will be taken before Abdul Carter. He had 15.9% pass rush win rate, 30 pressures, 5 sacks, and 6 QB hits on 232 pass rush snaps as a true sophomore.
FYI Georgia is planning on playing Mykel a lot more at Jack as a true stand-up outside linebacker in 2024, so we should see him get to pin his ears back a lot more.
The Mykel Williams-Trayvon Walker conversation got me thinking… why is it that we say “oh this college guy didn’t have a much of a pass rush plan but he’ll develop that in the NFL”, when even the top end pass rushers coming into the league normally take 3-5 years to truly breakout?…
Have yall ever considered going back to previous drafts and talking about the players from there? I’d love to hear y’all’s thoughts on Kayvon Thibedeau and Aidan Hutchinson so far.

I don’t know if he was mentioned in the comments but what about the edge rusher from Notre Dame: RJ Oben? I’ve seen his name in some early season rankings and feel like he was a big transfer from Duke. Any thoughts?
Interesting that we’re calling Rucker undersized. If this were just a height thing I’d get it, though as you note, the arm length makes up for it. But Rucker is 265 pounds, which is pretty big for a modern edge player. He’s got 20 pounds on Kamara, who was brought up in context, and he’s only 10 pounds lighter than Gillotte. Lol he’s got 20 pounds on Bryce Huff and he’s 4 pounds lighter than Tuimoloau. Height, yes. Weight? No way.

Elko runs a 4-3 type. 4-2-5. Think similar too Notre Dame. Or Vandy. Lea came from Elko system. Plays with the "Rover" Owusu-Koramoah made famous.

Abdul Carter needs to stay in a hybrid role, moving him to pure edge rusher is a crazy waste of his talent. The guy can do it all.
