It is a good idea to use this opportunity to reduce their numbers. Otherwise, there is no need for a midway report until the autumn harvest season. That's how rare it is for anyone to scoop up and touch a KOI in the process of maturing in Japan because they do not want to break the habit of feeding.
Hi thanks for your comment, it does say in the video that I am taking some koi out, when raising tosai it is normal that some won't maintain their quality and need to be separated, it is better for the pond to break feeding for a couple of days in order to reduce the stocking load.
