I spoke to Malachi's dad a little while back. He told me that Malachi's move had nothing to do with Will Howard or Miller Moss, but he didn't elaborate further. I have since heard snippets that Malachi is still trying to recover from that injury that slowed him down in the previous Spring. I suspect that Riley was candid about the situation, and that it was obvious that Malachi was not going to advance at USC under the circumstances. Therefore, BSU makes a lot of sense. Malachi is a great kid, and we should wish him well. I believe Riley did right by him, and Malachi will succeed because of it. He will need great patience though. His mom and dad, and grandparents will be there for him. Fight on Malachi!
The whole Country is behind Miller Moss. When Americans turn their TV's on they see this kid who waited his turn with class as a 5 Star recruit, who never complained & shined in the Bowl Game as a demonstration of what is to come...worked out in the off-season and we now see a Man (looks bigger/stronger). Nothing but greatness awaits & wouldn't be surprised if NFL Scouts heads turn. He's at our great University for a reason. Fight on !
Exactly. Miller is no scrub; he was a 4-star recruit from a major HS football program, and he's been training under LR with Caleb for the last 2 years... he's gonna be good.
Yeah, but w/o LR we don't get Caleb, and I think LR learned a valuable lesson. Plus I doubt very much that we could have hired as good as a defensive staff as we now have. You gotta let people make their mistakes and learn from them. It took Pete Carroll a while to become the coach we hired. He was our 3rd choice. Even John Wooden at UCLA took a while to arrive. And he's the standard in major college sports. Though most don't know much about him anymore.
Lincoln Riley has produced so many elite quarterbacks in his seven-year coaching career that it's only a matter of time before we get another quarterback as talented as Caleb was.
I just listened to the Cover 3 podcast where Bud and Tom picked SC to go under 7.5 wins. As frustrated as I am to hear it I’d rather SC goes under the radar and surprises people than to be hyped up in the media and disappoint
Lincoln said 1-2 days for Zion Branch. So I'm thinking it was like a cracked or torn fingernail or something. LR rarely gives timelines or any details on injured players so him actually saying 1-2 days leads me to believe it's definitely minor.
Someone made a nice comment for Malachi. Meaning J.T. came back from injuries & adversity & Malachi can do the same. He's from our backyard O.C. On another note: We're not used to having so many QB's like J.T., Kedon, Jaxson, Caleb around almost at the same time; its enough to make your head spin. When J.T. was healthy, looked fearless at Georgia. I mean look at the highlights. O.C. is behind Malachi as well.
I wish Malachi would have listen to Lincoln so he could develope! Sometimes you can do all the right things and not succeed and thats a lesson that needs to be learned!!
If WR doesn’t workout for Lemon, could we see him transition into CB ? Could be a two way like Adoree imo, just depends on what he shows in development and our need I guess
( angry Trojan ) I would think the depth chart coming out so late is because SC is starting with LSU and not a team like San Jose State or Nevada or San Diego. I too want to hate on Klatt but he's right sometimes 😏
I agree with most of this video. Lots of stuff to be excited about. But I think your take that our offense won't be as explosive as the past couple years is incorrect. I think we saw in the bowl game that those young receivers can get open downfield and Miller Moss unlike Caleb is willing to throw up those 50/50 balls.
@@jonnytarantino and they say Isaiah Rubin is the same type of player. Can play any DB position. But he won’t play this year. Maybe some special teams. We should preserve his redshirt.
I believe in Riley as a developer of talent... but if he was the "Best evaluator" then why did he recruit Nelson? He evaluated him and thought he should bring him in no?
if Jaylin Smith is our best DB, this is going to be another long season Jaylin Smith plays like someone trying to steal his peanut butter .... he got toasted more than #4 and he was horrible !
'Ol Mule Shoe's Ladies of Troy are too small. Maybe when these Ladies of Troy get embarrassed this year when they finish 4-8 USC will wise up, fire this clown Lincoln Riley and hire Chris Petersen to fix the mess made of Trojan football
Hey Gabe, I'm a die-hard USC fan since birth by virtue of my late uncle's former status of professional emeritus of civil engineering & hydraulics... and family tradition. I am not shopping my wares, but I'm a grip/electrician/video imaging engineer in film/tv & because yours is the best quality of content among all other USC Trojan football blogspots, podcasts & channels on RUclips, so I will avail myself to the cause if you're interested, to help set up your live stream & broadcast studio, with advice, assistance & pro-bono counsel in the best interest of production quality, function, personality & look on camera. The Academy Awards, Grammy's, Emmy's, BET, MTV, AFI, Golden Globes, People's Choice, Kids Choice, VGA's, AMA's, I Heart Radio & ESPY's are all examples of my work. Production on the 2024 Emmy Awards runs from August 28 thru September 14, and I will have limited open slots before & after to help if needed.

Playoff Bound! It's nice to have 2 elite QB's! Congrats to Taylor Mays✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️ Get better Zion
Congratulations on The Blade's one year anniversary! Thanks for all you do!
By keeping Grinch, we denied the Program a possible two time, back to back Heisman winner. Such a shame.

Yeah but if we fired Grinch last season, how do we know we would have hired ANY of the elite defensive staff that we now have?
Lincoln Riley has produced so many elite quarterbacks in his seven-year coaching career that it's only a matter of time before we get another quarterback as talented as Caleb was.
Congratulations to Taylor Mays: You Earned It Bro💯🔥✌️
That’s got to be tough for Malachi Nelson. Wishing him all the best

Good to see Taylor Mays promotion and that we finally got a special teams coach.
Wow! Been a year Gabe! Fight on ✌️ and love me some Miller Moss!
Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary 🎉 always look forward to watching your shows. Such great commentary and video !
✌🏼congrats on the TB anniversary and FO!!
Riley said he wasn’t ready. Nelson might be the second coming of JT Daniels…..Fight On!
Congratulations on your channel's success. Fight On
Grateful for your morning videos!!!
So happy for MM …..has worked hard and been patient. This is the progression he’s gone through and is now rewarded! Good job MM! ✌️

I hope he'll be ready for Michigan.
Again Gabe, you’re a “much watch”, especially during the fall each year from now on!
😊

My hot take is Zach Branch’s longest reception for the year is 9 yards
Thank you, Gabe. Good stuff. ✌️✌️✌️

Holy shit Nick endorsing this USC team… we got a chance at it all

See you guys in Vegas #zooloo #fighton ✌🏾😂
Are you going to be in Vegas for the game, Gabe??
Congrats 🎉✌️TB⚔️
One of the best secondary's in the country is crazyyyy
How?
If Jaylin Smith is our best CB, I think we are lacking some talent at that position.
He’s not gonna be an every down cb. He’s gonna play everywhere in the secondary. So no he’s not CB1

Calm down hecis a true sophomore now go back to the couch
The kid's been injured. Hopefully he recovers and fulfills his potential.
Feldman also stated that UCLA had better talent last year on defense than USC this year and USC will probably be 7-5, so he is not sold on USC.
LOL!
Hmmm, two of UCLA's best defenders are now Trojans.....
@@RidgeRider88 Plus their dc.

lol LR recruited Nelson. How is that not a bad look
So did every other coach 🤡
Lol, he was a 5 star QB recruited by every coach in the nation, Mensa.
Maybe that’s on Nelson, not on Riley.
