My granddad was a carpenter, I enjoyed watching you, fascinating. YOU CANT PAINT? Look what God has gifted you with, unbelievable. Thanks
Thanks!
Am a big fan of channels where I can hit the LiKe button before the video is even 5 seconds in. 👍👍👍👍
Ha ha ha! Thanks! It must have been the shirt.
Who needs a gym membership when you do that ! Amazing craftsmanship and use of tools. Nice to see someone using hand tools. When you were scraping for the finish, reminded me of my grandpa. He used broken coke bottles to do the same thing. Excellent videography as well. Really beautiful !
Thanks so much!
Very creative use of the sapwood to contrast with the heartwood in your design. This is an extremely well designed and beautiful work of art.
Thanks!
Using all your handtools in making this project, and no power tools, makes it more unique and it puts all your energy in your work. Which makes it more unique and more yours.Using power tools, just makes it too easy, you have a awesome way of making your projects.
Thank you!
Мастерство, профессионализм, терпение, фантастические навыки ремесла
Спасибо!
Вы о чем. У парня нет электро пилы . Сочувствую. Берет при пилении использует распиратор. Ну что я могу сказать .....терпения у него просто до х..я....
The most patient man I have ever seen. Absolutely impressive.
Thanks!
Great love for your craft is so obvious. Truly carried to an art form as well! BEAUTIFUL WORK!

Thank you very much!
Really appreciate your patience and skill. Any wrong movement of your axe or tool can spoil all your efforts. But you handled it so professionally and meticulously.
Thanks!
The amount of time you spent doing this is just beyond my imagination but actually letting us spend a couple hours watching you complete this is a gift that we can be grateful for. Thank you, Chris for all the work and time editing for our enjoyment.
You are most welcome!

Man ,you are really hard core when it comes to your profession. We loved it, and it is beautiful. We also like the quietness and hearing the tools cut.

Thank you!
Sono mario da roma: grazie a te x quello che mi hai fatto vedere, sei bravissimo un grande artista scultore non o mai visto una cosa simile. Possiedi la calma e la pazienza di un giapponese. Grande. Ciao e tanti auguri. 👍🌻
Grazie molte!
It's amazing watching your craftsmanship, all the sounds of the saws, ax and the wood. This is my second time I watched it last year. Great job.
Thanks!
😊
Beautiful work and the tranquility of the sound as the wood gives under the hand of a true craftsman.
To reinforce the short grain areas I think a nicely aged strip of copper or tin would only increase the aesthetics of such a piece.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you great piece.
👍🏻😄
Beautiful done
Thanks!
Wow, impressive, most impressive! My father was a whittler I have the peach seeds he carved into monkeys and the miniature knives he made from metal.. I love watching the beautiful creations emerge from a hunk of wood!
Very cool!
I am a painter and I was a painter for over thirty years. I would let you paint something for me. LOL I liker your videos. Keep them coming. Regards, Pat

Excellent ! Je ne dirai qu'un mot BRAVO ! Toutefois, la base de la poignée devrait se terminer en demi cercle pour éviter toute faiblesse et donc cassure ! Merci de cette vidéo !
Je suis d'accord avec vos commentaires. Merci!
OMG, this is still addictive to watch. And I've already watched the timelapse one. LOL!
Thanks!!
Yes, a satisfying tool.....almost too satisfying. I could get carried away ! 😁

Wonderful design, beautiful craftsmanship, great video presentation. Thank you Chris! You've helped me start 2022 off with a surge of enthusiasm for possible efforts in my life. I'm coming in on this about a year behind your work. I've subscribed and look forward to your other work.
Not really familiar with the ASMR label. People who have natural inclinations for handcrafting and woodwork, like myself certainly experience an undeniable, internal, sympathetic response and enjoyment seeing the processes, physical actions that are being done by another, especially a master artisan, as thoroughly enjoyable.
I suppose this is why so many people become enamored of virtuoso musicians - especially during age of Rock & Roll for guitarists and other band member performances. With woodwork and handcrafting, seeing the process being performed by experienced people must stimulate the mirror neurons and feed the viewer's brain with a tiny sample, or dose of the biochemical process happening in the artisan.
Your skill in capturing key moments of the process, and framing and finally editing the video all reveal your skill and mastery level in the necessary pre-production planning and mental foresight. Yet more range of skills in sharing, compassion, teaching. Wonderful stuff. Thanks again. 1-1-2022
Thanks so much and good luck with your endeavors. When I need inspiration I watch bowl videos from Frank HOWARTH. While he uses power tools his attention to detail and videography is amazing!
.......... .... ... ..
Stunning. Many thanks.
Thanks!
Adventure, mystery, action, a little suspense. This is the best movie I've seen in 2021! Chris can you make me a bigger popcorn bowl, I ran out half way through the movie ;)
Nice work brother.

I've seen a lot of wood craftsmanship but you you're awesome I mean I've seen people make jewelry box out of knotted wood Walnut Sherry pretty much a lot of it but you sir you're awesome at least you have patience to make it cuz I know a lot of them out there don't have it especially the young teens
Thanks so much!

You're amazing!
Thanks!
Now you agree isn't this Awesome if you watched it from the start 😀
Thanks!
What I love about someone who's long practiced with saws, is their inability to saw as clumsily as a newbie no matter how hard they try. You could make a mess on purpose, but you couldn't make a *newbie* mess.
👍🏻
That is an amazing project.
Thank you!
Beautiful
Thanks.
Du grand art ! ! ! ! Bravo
Grazie!
Chris I understand you like to saw but see in in the next tool there is the word saw as well... chainsaw! Joke aside Chris you have the traditional style at heart and soul. You work is astonishing and flawless. Absolutely remarkable! I’m one of your fan!
Thanks!!!
Молодец очень хорошая работа всё вручную без электро инструмента очень приятно было смотреть

The most relaxing two hours of video. Was the wood walnut?
Thanks and yes - walnut is amazing!
trai trai good work thank you
Thank you!
Congratulations, very good job done as the ancestors did, it would be interesting if in future videos, you will also show the ancient techniques of sharpening the tools...
Thanks and will do!
so nice to watch a beautiful object slowly emerge from the solid wood (Walnut , did it say ?).
With the poor oceans so badly spoiled by plastics, we see a natural product, that will last for hundreds of years, but for the right reasons.
If one were to commission a bowl like this Star Bowl, about how much would it cost ?
"All The Best" from England.🙂🌳🌈✴🙂.
Thank you ! The wood was walnut and I once lived in West Byfleet in Surrey outside of London.
beautiful work
Thank you!
No Chris. Thank YOU. That was like a masterclass.
👍🏻
Excelente labor
👍🏻💪
I love þhe places you work , it ' s magic . Take to amasing situation . I love you boy .
Thank you!
EXCELENTE VÍDEO, GRACIAS POR ENSEÑARME, GRACIAS.
Gracias!
It takes forever and I love watching it, I’m amazed with your hard works and a lot of patience . . . the different cuts you made with hand chisels and gouges just fun to watch. Yes that end grains could break anytime. . . but your just good in what you do. Is it Linseed oil?
Thanks. The oil is Natural Color Danish Oil.
Super legal
It's very nice work.
But That is the most labor intensive project I've ever seen.
Thank God for modern tools !
Thanks. I enjoy the process as much as the result.
Great craftsmanship. wish you get your hands on a nice piece of mahogany, man it just loves fine and intricate work, with your skill and dedication, I believe you will easily create some unique masterpieces, the power tools causes too much toxic byproducts, eg saw dust everywhere and noise, best work shop I've ever seen, gouges galore, love how you bring up the grain👍.
Thanks so much!
