Fussing at the dog because it’s an ASMR video was gold
I thought you would like that!
I also that was hilarious
Even more, so because right after he starts whacking away at the log with an ax. Still lovely results.
This guy has a great perseverance. He turned a piece of log that's about to be turned into a firewood into a beautiful unique bowl. Then, when I thought he was done, he made graphic design which even made it look magnificent. It look like a viking ship or an Egyptian artifact. I thought watching this long video would be boring, but I didn't want it to end. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Thanks for the comment. Take care.
That's not a bowl.
That's as canoe for a housecat!
Great job with this, Dude!
Not just the bowl, but the editing, too. You did jump cuts in all the right places to keep things from being too tedious, while still preserving the experience.
Awesome work!
Ahh yes! Thanks.
Even this long video does not begin to capture the amount of work this represents. My hats off to you !
Thanks!
It's really fascinating to watch you make these. Also laughed at trying to explain to the dog it is an ASMR video 😂
Ha ha ha! How dare he bark in my ASMR video!!
The next level craftsmanship. I have never spent this much time watching any video in one go on RUclips. This happened to be very gripping. I enjoyed every moment and every stroke of this wood maestro. Hats Off.
Wow! Thank you so much!
Wow , you are mighty strong man !! Cutting that big chunk of wood with hand in few minutes !!!!!
Thanks!
It’s a pleasure to watch you work the wood. You are a master of your trade.
Well thank you very much!
❤️ That was a beautiful video, you are so talented, I love the ending of leaving it on the dinning room table as it was a gift for someone special. I’m sure they loved it ❣️
Thanks!
I have a big clamp like yours, and you showed me a great use for it on the workbench! No annoying music is a plus.
No doubt!
From an ASMR and an overall audio quality standpoint, this is the best video I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.
Thanks!
Bonus points for showing the pup. Love your work

After watching a few videos by Dave Fisher and you I have now carved 5 or 6 bowls after starting with spoons and kuksas.
I appreciate the effort and understand the amount of hours that it takes to accomplish.
Great work and very nice collection of tools.
What a workout
Thanks! I learn from Dave’s videos as well.

Am I watching woodwork action or thriller? Huge 🪓 and intimidating saw and torture rack(?). Weird tools but exciting. I know cherry seemed dead but Chris will revive it. So exciting!!
You’re a poet! Thanks!
Back to flint stone era.
This really impressive. I thought I had seen most hand tools but I think you showed at least 10 that are new to me. This is off my chart of woodworking.
Wow I'm inspired and blown away.

No need for a gym membership when you're carving bowls! Again another awesome job well done.
💪 Exactly! Thanks.
I’m so happy you shared this. Not many people, including myself, would have the patience to craft using these methods when easier ones are readily available. That being said, it is great knowing someone is keeping them alive. So thank you for having the sack to do what so many others can not.
Thank you! You are most welcome!
i gave this video a thumbs up when the dog started barking because i can feel his reaction since i often find myself becoming a man of many sighs when my dogs do the same thing

being like "oh okay... logs.."
great job on the project, all jokes aside! 😂❤

I really enjoyed watching you lay the ellipse out. I might show part of this video to my apprenticeship students, to show them how geometry is common amongst all trades. I love how the old ways are oftentimes so simple.

There are Nobel prizes for research, Oscars for acting, Grammys for music and so on. Is there any award for wood carving? If there is one such award, you deserve it most. What patience, not using any of the modern tools throughout, OMG. You really deserve the sweetest of fruits soaked in honey, filled in the bowl you have created. Good luck. Take care.
