Hello from Germany! What a beautiful construction, I love it! Perhaps you can put some soil or clay near the entrance, bordered by stones, so that you have a secure base for a fireplace. The problem is the smoke inside without a chimney... Or you can use a simple tent oven with included chimney. Greets, Achim
Hello! Thank you. I thought about building a chimney in the ground, but this had to be done before the A-frame was assembled. A tent stove is a good option, thanks.

I don't think I've said as many WOWs in one video before! Your skills, eye for size and details, craftsmanship, camera work showing the details of tools and methods, WOW! Asbjorn, you are a legend!
Asbjorn, your videos are the best bushcraft videos on RUclips, why? A few reasons: wonderful forests and landscapes, only ASMR, very well filmed and edited videos and above all the peace and tranquility they transmit. I'm sure you will have more than 1 million subscribers in a short time. Thanks for your time, work and patience.
I yearn for the patience and grace this man has with his projects what a calming experience thank you for letting me have a glimpse of the fun you have ❤😊
I have seen wood burning stoves that were meant for cabins, which have secondary air boxes. These air boxes are part of the smokestack pipe and are installed on a second floor scenario. The box can be empty or you could probably fill it with rocks or metal bars or something to retain heat. Anyway, the hot gases from the fire go up the chimney and heat the secondary box and its contents (if any) while the fire is burning. When the fire is out, the box (and/or its contents) stay warm for hours afterward. You could put in a wood burning stove below and an air box inside your A frame. Heat it during the hour or so before bedtime and then let it burn out. You could also hang a heavy canvas tarp over the front of your A frame to hold it all in. Or build an entry way to include something like a 90 degree bend in the entrance so that wind and stuff doesn't come in easily. Just random thoughts. Hope it inspires. Great job, by the way!
I really enjoy your videos. I did something different this time. I mirrored my phone onto my TV and I got to watch on the "big screen ". Thank you for taking the time to share your bush craft skills. ❤
I have a Toyotomi petroleum stove from Japan. It heats with a 4 liter tank capacity at 2 kW heat output for 18 hours and can cook, using approx. 0.3 liters/hour. He just has to warm up the shelter a little, dry the clothes and cook something when it rains. If you use a tent stove that doesn't burn all night, the total weight is similar. Chimney and smoke are also eliminated.
Under normal conditions i wouldnt trust sleeping in something i built. This is great, maybe some day i can do something like this. You had me hooked from the first scene.
horeeeee akhirnya tiba saatnya muncul videonya.... saya tidak bisa berkata apa apa selain " WAOWWWW " anda benar2 luar biasa....saya sangat menyukai nya.... saya tunggu video berikutnya kawan...
Just discovered your channel today, watched it on the tv earlier and I'm inspired to go out and try something like this now. Thank you very much for the calming content, its something I've been needing
thank you for making another video, really appreciate all the work you put into it’s preparation and the time it takes ..it’s a pleasure watching you work with wood too.. and it’s a great shelter , a design that blends in to its surroundings
The most peaceful place on Earth! I wish I knew a tenth of the bushcraft/woodworking you do. I wonder how long it took you to build this? You could use mealtimes to mark your days. Love your work.
It took me two weeks to get everything ready, build and film this video. But I usually cut these weeks in one or two days - it's more convenient for people to watch :)
What kind of meat was that for dinner? I'm guessing reindeer? It didn't look like beef. I love that you ate that garlic raw with your stew. 🙂As far as heating, I'm not sure. You could heat up big rocks in an outside fire and bring them into the shelter, but that wouldn't work if it was really cold, and you couldn't dry your clothes or cook on it of course. I hate to say it, but some kind of portable woodstove might be your best option. I'm sure you've figured something out by now!
hello, I come from Indonesia🇲🇨, more precisely from the island of Bali I really like your cinematic videos and I get a lot of knowledge from you, like the tips and tricks you show I always wait for your videos, upload often Thank You
Run a tunnel from the fireplace through & under the bed to heat the bedding. A trench dug under the bed with an outlet outside. The base bedding is rock on top of the tunnel, then wooden slats evenly spaced for heat to rise from the rock base. 😊
Thanks for the advice. I thought about this way. But I decided to check something else - air heating inside the shelter;) I'm already making a video, it will be available for viewing soon 🙂
Great video again. Im still amazed by your sense for camera positioning and timing. Great job. And i have two questions. 1. Which camera do you used? 2. How much time you spent on building a shelter? Thanks and good luck ✊
Every night i check your channel for new video. But no new video. Then i watch your old video when i go to sleep and watching video suddenly slept. Love from Bangladesh
Hello. Very beautiful and atmospheric. Great cover, I like this shape. You make great buildings, maybe you can try to make a raft with a canopy and go on a trip along the river?
How to make heating for the winter? Any ideas? :)
May be with some hot rocks under the shelter or a kind of rocket mass heater

I agree with you. His filming is awesome, like when he went to get water from lake..
He had drone shots as well as perfectly placed camera angles.
👍👍
Your A frame shelter build was outstanding! I hope it will remain in place as our classroom while you teach us other bushcraft skills.😮
i agree the video is superb, but i know he brought with him a professional cameraman. He can never do both.
Mr. Chick-a-dee has some very nice ones too.
This A-Frame is one of the coolest, most creative bushcraft shelters ever. So inspiring!
