I just stepped into the music production world after playing and writing music for years. I downloaded FL studio and bought a Minilab 3 and started researching on RUclips. This is the only video I found that describes a way to use the minilab exactly how I thought it was going to be. When I got to the part in the video about Al BE charging for the template, I groaned but out of curiosity checked the price and was surprised. If you can afford a meal at Mcdonalds you can buy this template, do yourself a favor and make life easier. Don't waste your time on the other RUclips videos like I did.

I’ve been trying to use for studio on and off since I was 13. Finally in a spot to get a midi controller. I’m having trouble figuring out keys with the pads. Are you able to put sound sun all the pads on every midi. Or only certain ones. For fl studio?
I'm also wondering what type of computer studios use etc.im getting started trying to learn the work flows
would u way the minilab 3 is worth is for fl producers who mainly make beats? looking to get my first midi controller n i love the quality this one but im thinking of compatibility and also the layout of the drum pads seems a little awkward as compared to like the akai mpk mini

Hi Al thank for your video .I ve recently bought the minilab3 .Im a acid pro 10 user ,and i ve been adviced to use the keyboard with FL studio so ive dowloaded the trial version of FL21 ,and i m wondering if its possible to play when it s the trial version ?,im not sure i wanto buy it yet(the FL studio) .if yes how do you congigurate those two together to make some sound? ,bkz i ve still havent been able to use my arthuria :'(...I need help please!!,here in France no videos for this matter..Ive downloaded your template ,i m looking forward to use but im getting this message when i clik on "store to" : "Failed to open device.Please verify the device is not in use by another application. " I ve shot all down ,restarted the computer and again when i open arthuria midi it shows that error so now i cant use neither your template neither the keyboard ?hope you can help .thankxxx🙏

Hey great content! I love how in depth you explain everything, and your template is awesome! that being said... this may be dumb, but when I try to import the files to control center the 'MiniLab 3 FL Studio Template- ThisIsAlBe' is empty. Have you ever encountered this?
No I have not, that's weird. Make sure you are extracting the zip folder first. That may be it. And don't try to open the file directly. Actually open the Arturia MiniLab application, then File and navigate to the actual file.

Hey man, love the videos and midi packs you make. I got a quick question about the mpk mini 3 for FL studio. I bought your controller template and got it all set up, and it works terrifically, except there seems to be a bit of a latency issue. I have my device in the audio settings set to FL Studio ASIO, my sample rate is 44100 hz and I turned down the buffer length to 6ms but there's still a noticeable delay from when I play on the midi to when the sound plays in FL Studio. It makes it real hard to make beats and play on tempo. Any suggested fixes for this?
Yeah I’ve been here before. It’s highly likely that the issue is still the driver. For me it went away once I got a dedicated audio interface. It’s not related to the keyboard or template itself so it’s not something I can really fix.

Most of the dedicated audio interfaces I've seen online don't have a USB input, would I just have to get a 1/4 inch or XLR to USB converter, or is there a good interface you'd recommend that has 1/4 inch and USB inputs? Yeah you would need to purchase it for download. I agree though that the keyboard should work like this but I had to make this template, test it, host it, record and edit to show ppl how to do it and end up supporting ppl who need further help so I do charge for it.

Purchased and set everything up but when I go to the midi settings to change from generic controller to the minilab 3 it doesn't pop up in devices. Anything I can do?
Make sure you close the app you used to push the template. Only one application can access the keyboard at once.
Then click Refresh MIDI devices in FL Studio MIDI settings

i actuallly ran into this problem myself but managed to fix it. its because the file is a minilab 3 file. u need to update the midi lab control center. once you do you will be able to use the minilab 3 files as a template
@@INSIDExGAMING Same prob....The midi lab control center only gives options for minilab (and other Alturia keyboards). How do I update the midi lab control center so that it has the minilab 3 (cant see it anywhere on the Alturia website.......then I will be able to import the Albe template?
My minilab RECORD pad only works at DAW mode, how can i fix that and press to record at User 1 mode? (MPC MODE)
You can’t as they are two different modes.

just bought the pack but I`ve been trying the whole day to make the minilab3 appear in fl and it only shows off as generic controller, tried all the ports I have it connected with usb and cannot make it work
Make sure you close out the editor you used to push the template. Only one program can access the keyboard at a time.

Right click the record icon and make sure you have the right things enabled to record

Should be two different files. One ending in ds for device settings the other one is not device settings. Try to rewatch and follow along if you didn’t before

Hi the community and Al HELPPPPlease!,im only getting one drum sound !Everything went ok until FLmidi settings :( this the first time im using my mini lab AND fl21 (trial version ) OUTPUT : mini lab3 is enabled but no port by default is showing up. INPUT it s written generic controller (can't choose Arthuria doesnt appear on the list ) and no port ,cant choose the Omni preview :((( is it because FL studio is on trial version?

Great tutorial I was going to ask you something with the potards of the mini lab 3 it is possible to control the faders of the fl studio mixer on several banks because it has only 4 fader on the mini lab 3 well to you 🫡🔥
transpose doesn't work now.
It should, this template doesn't have anything to do with transpose. Was it working before? You can also try going to another default template and see if it comes back. This will help you isolate if it is a general issue or one specific to my template.
