    What timing!! Making a decision on the Rival Vs Rival S this week. I can easily afford (because I'm old) the TTI but I'm a cheap penny pinching coot who can shoot the cheapest guns just fine and I've had Canicks since they were $299 and they've been great! Thank you brother.

      if youre not opposed to payments, there are lots of options out there nowadays that offer zero interest if paid over 4 months making the tti fairly reasonable at 250 a month for 4 months

      TTI Combat is incomparable! It cost the same if not cheaper then the s. I've had 6 Caniks in the last year and nothing compares to it! I have the same set up with the MO3 which I also believe is incredible especially for the money! B the closest thing it compared to in my opinion is the SRO and you can get 3 MO3s for one SRO!

    Im writing this comment before watching, this is the video I think we all need. A lot of people cutting videos saying how great it is, and Im sure its great, but not really comparing it to the other Canik models. I have heard from actual users that the its not as good as the Rival in the recoil. I look at the small port/comp, love the ease of disassembly but it looks really small, I wonder how effective it really is.

    • @MoneyShot_CM
      @MoneyShot_CM Месяц назад +1

      @@gbgunsmedia Well I dont thinks its quite fair to compare it to the 3lb Rival S, the weight simply outperforms the comp on the TTI as far as control/grouping, even though the times were a little slower on the S due to the hesitation,. Tough to beat a heavy gun. Maybe if it was a regular stock S, no brass anchors lol. I think the regular Rival held its own against the TTI, groping looked overall better because of the two TTI flyers, but the TTI had a few that were touching which could mean better results if they were ran again. Times faster on the TTI, so it does add performance, I can see that. Is it enough to explain the price difference? Makes me wonder what an aftermarket comp would do on the threaded barrel of the Rival. I have an Xmacro and and P10c with Herrigniton comps that I love. I would think a real external comp might outperform it, what do you think?

    Good video thanks! I want to get into the TTI hype, but the Rival S weight is so compelling for this full size range/comp style gun. If folks are carrying these enjoy, but they are not something I'm intending to tote around. Given the intended purpose I want to go with the heavier weight with additional options like taylor freelance and Lok to add even more so I'm going doing the Rival S route, and glad everyone else is moving on to the TTI so maybe I can find the Rival S chrome for MSRP or nearly that low in few more months. Be well sir.

    Great comparison! Obviously the Rival S being the steadiest because of the weight. Not the fastest, but perhaps had you tried the best out of 3 tries each, that might have been different. The true test is what will the gun be used for? Everyday carry or competition? Different choices for different uses, but the TTI performed spectacularly across the board (even with pollen) and is the clear leader. Not surprisingly since its heritage is from Taran Tactical.

What I would be interested in knowing is about the red dots. I am considering getting the TTI Combat but mot familiar with either the MeCanik MO3 vs. the Viridian RFX35 Green. Please tell me a bit about each and which would you recommend? Would your recommend any other red dot sight for the TTI Combat ? For now, you can't get a TTI at the same price as the S. And the S is a flat shooter. Definitely not going to feel the recoil impulse of the TTI. That TTI is going for $300 over MSRP. Put a comp on the steel frame and its over plus cheaper than the TTI considering what dealers are charging for the TTI.

    So is the conclusion that if you already have a sfx rival there’s not really a point in spending a 1000 on a gun that’s not much different? because to me the tti looks like a rival just different color and it has a comp not worth the 1000 when there’s other pistols out there

    The fairest thing to say is that all gun upgrades are a diminishing return. Learning to shoot, experience and training is still first.
    All gun upgrades while some nice, some helpful, none truly provide significant performance.
    if you're not shooting faster transitions or tighter groups. It's all money on hype.

    • @gbgunsmedia
      @gbgunsmedia  Месяц назад

      Yes, I think some upgrades help shooters compensate for lack fo skill (easier triggers, dots, etc), but ultimately higher skill will produce better results with any gun, and that's when those upgrades can provide split-second edges in competition.

    Canik’s line is getting pretty bad in terms of naming conventions go.
    The Pro series/rival series slides should replace the mete. The front serrations just don’t make sense with a dot.
    I’ve been contemplating getting an SFTpro and getting a COMP but now that the TTI exists, I may just go with that.

    Not so fair comparison. The METE SFT has different trigger than the others. Every other gun have the same type of trigger(flat, 90 degree, aluminum) what is a big advantage. METE SFT PRO would have been the better choice for this video.

    • @gbgunsmedia
      @gbgunsmedia  Месяц назад

  • @judahlion5826

    I can't get over just how many weak wristed boys need a compensator for a 9mm pistol! I love to shoot 10mm! Are you kidding me??!! Great marketing ploy by Canik! they have suckered a lot of people.

    • @gbgunsmedia
      @gbgunsmedia  19 дней назад

      Compensators are more about reducing split times by keeping the gun flatter and reducing the amount of shooter energy it takes to accomplish that. Sure just about anyone can shoot 10mm, or even a big bore, but throwing hundreds of rounds with high concentration in a day, or back to back days is fatiguing.

      @jonathankurzeja9535 Месяц назад

      That stuff does make a big difference in the time it takes for you to bring the gun to your eyes. You could easily on accident alone take more or less time or not index ur gun to the same spot. Buy a shot timer with a delay or have someone run your timer for you next time. Also have an index point on the ground like a rock or a cone helps. If you did that your data might look a little more valid. Look at the humble marksman and how he does his comparison videos.
