When hubby and I decided in July 2020 that we were going to move to France, I started doing Duolingo for at least 30 minutes/day. I added watching videos with English subtitles, listening to French music, watching various RUclips teaching videos. I was really frustrated because I speak Spanish but every time I attempted French, my Spanish would come out. But I stuck with the 30 minutes/day. In late August it happened. I was able to pull the French words out of my brain instead of Spanish. I just returned last week from 4 weeks in France. I was sooooo happy with how good I did with my French. Yes, it’s like a child. but I could typically communicate my needs and many times understand what others were saying! I was thrilled. We are moving to Pau (yes, I’m Diane’s friend!) in April!!!
Other learning techniques 1) To find books in Spanish to learn French. 2) To find books in French to learn Spanish. This way you can find parallel equivalents for both languages? Buena, suerte!!! Bonne chance!!!
you're a great teacher, I 'm Chinese, I 've learned Spanish for few months, I 've noticed there're a bunches of similarities between two languages, I'll learn the basic French phrases. Thanks a lot. Gracias mil, used es una perfecto maestra
At last! I can't believe how many videos I have watched that did not explain _Pourriez-vous répéter_ to French learners. I cannot stress how important knowing this phrase is to get someone to repeat a phrase that you heard, but could not quite understand the first time! Merci beaucoup !
J'adore tout le coeur que tu mets pour enseigner le français avec justesse. Tu es vraiment positive et t'écouter comme te regarder est un vrai plaisir. Merci beaucoup de t'intéresser à notre langue , mes salutations du Québec Canada❗😁
Soooo...... someone with such a clear Eastern European / Slavic accent in English - immediately dropping the (in)definite articles - teaching us French phrases ... ? I love love love your bravery. Kudos.
Russian aristocrats spoke only French in their circles, they had French tutors,, French nannies, so Russians have a long tradition of learning and living this language
You're an extremely helpful teacher! At some point in my French learning, I got too frustrated with pronunciation and put that on the back burner. However, now I'm at the point where I can read a write pretty good - and I can sound new words out fairly accurately - but still, my pronunciations are embarrassing. I love how you talk about the mouth shape and where the sound should be coming from because that's *so important*! For me, I really need to feel the words in my own mouth rather than just hearing them. Like, in "Il est deux heures" v "Il est douze heures". They sounded the same - but after learning the mouth shape and where the sound needs to come from/out and feeling it for myself, I get it now! Anyway - thank you so much, you're a wonderful teacher!
Hello, You are an excelent teacher, In this way I learned English and a little French, 30 years ago. Now I am learning both languages again. Greetings from Quito-Ecuador
Je vous remercie mille fois ! Après plus de 20ans en France, et malgré le fait que je travail ici, j'ai toujours un sacré accent anglais 😧. Je suis tellement contente de vous avoir trouvé ! Merci , merci 🤗🤗
I’m not sure if all your videos are outside (I will soon find out as I intend to watch all of them) but it provides a sense of calm that helps relax my jaw and stick with the lesson to the end. You are a very talented teacher and I appreciate your lessons and encouragement very much! Merci beaucoup!
@Real Aiglon Haha. I guess it shouldn't. But she's teaching French, so it's a quick assumption she would be French. However, her name Nastya is clearly Russian.
I found your channel yesterday. I must say I am very impressed about your presentation and the awesome effort you put in so that we too may speak French as well as you do. God bless you. And thank you.
You're an amazing teacher for sure. I would just recommend that you reduce the amount of time you spend on explaining pronunciation, especially when it comes to pronouncing common words like (je, ne, pardon....) These are the first words beginners get to learn. So, no need to explain their pronunciation over and over again. Thank you
Super! Interesting and impressive, that a professor not from France (Russian?) has produced the best video ever on how to pronounce French words, so clear and useful. And so amazingly French!!
I like the way you explain, just a small suggestion.... try to keep the sentence on the screen which one you are talking for better understand please. I think this will work better for me. Thank you. I will learn French with you, I am sure of that. Thanks a lot.
If you could keep the words up a little longer say them; then say them slow along enough to view them, then to view how you say the word. If I asking to much... I just started watching you, and I think I'm getting it. But hey great job! Thank you David USA
Very helpful, the use of nasel cavity and lip positioning was insightful. Perhaps a conversation regarding arriving and leaving, greetings and making requests, using both sides of the conversation.
Excellente et tres jolie profeseur du francaise comment langue etranger ! Votre maniere a expliquer c'est claire comment l'eau de roche ! Merci beaucoup madame. Francofer dans La Colombie.

Hey Hi ! I am from INDIA and love French. I was searching for the right channel to learn french and here i have got one (YOURS). Even my little kids 7 yr old girl and 5 yr old boy are also loving your videos and learning to speak french. Thanks for creating such a beautiful and informative channel. Love from India
I don't know why the algorithm suggested me this video but i watched it til the end anyway. I'm French and your accent is really amazingly great ! Bravo ! I subscribe even if i'm almost sure my prononciation is good ;-)
You have a brilliant skill of explainining.. A little slower pace might be better for all receivers.. especially for those who want perfection from the beginning.. Thanks. .
Pronunciation is too often underestimated. IT IS VITAL TO SOUND GOOD ENOUGH to be understood. She does great job. The more often you are understood by natives the more you want to learn it. Plus it actually shrotens the process for o f leraning a lenguage.
Hey Anastasia! My name is actually Anastasia! It’s fun to watch a girl with my same name teaching my favorite language! Especially here in the US there aren’t many Anastasia’s! Also, I used to read the fancy Nancy stories as a kid, if anybody else has please comment, And they use ooh La La as something good. For example: great ,wonderful
If you are still doing this may i suggest leaving the words up as we try to prounce them with you? It helps. I love your videos. They are very informative just an easy feel to learn a new language
You speak English very well and your French accent is beautiful and I completely understood everything, you speak French clearly . THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS . MERCI Mademoiselle
Ohhh my gosh girrrrrrl! You are more helpful than all the video I have watch thus far as well as those big talking people with their high cost French lessons! 🤗😘🙏 thank you 😊
so....I'm learning spanish. Why, you might ask, am I watching this video? Because the sound of the french language is the most beautiful in the world.....and the sound of the french language from a french woman is even better.
Si te gusta el español estoy dispuesto a compartir 30 × 30 minutos entre ingles y español, soy amante de lenguas y el frances ya esta en mi dominio pero me gusta el ingles aprendi el frances porque vivo en Quebéc y el español es mi lengua nativa, soy de MEXICO
@@baronmeduse is her pronunciation authentic? it sounds authentic to my ear but i'm not an expert. She does make the language sound lovely just as a female from France.
Merci beaucoup! You are so sweet and this video helped me so much! I study French at the University and I struggle so much with the pronunciation since my native language is Italian, they look similar but actually are completely different...🥴 You got a new subscriber❤️
bonjour! jáime beaucoup comment vous expliquez la prononciation. comme une débutante, le francais est très difficile. mais, vous vidéos sont très utilisant. Aussi, je suis désolée pour mes erreurs!
Cool video! This helped me a little with my pronunciation, although I have a quick question, for the last phrase there is the word "neuf" at the end. Doesn't that also mean nine? It's kind of throwing me off.
To me, this video is very helpful to me. HOwever, whenever you speak in French, could you please slow down a bit?? because if you use same speech when you speak in English, then I am trouble in listening your French. Thank you so much for your great work :)
