French is my mother language and even if I have a good level in it, I still make some little mistakes
Learning english was EASY compared to my own language😂
That’s a very nice reminder that any language can be hard even for natives and that natives make mistakes too. So, don’t get discouraged everyone. Enjoy the journey.
Thank you so much!! Knowing that people who's native language is French, also still kinda struggle makes me feel a bit better about my French
After 2 years of learning French, I still hardly understand any spoken French. This tutorial has been a great help.
Thanks, keep up the good work. We all want to have a second language.

Spoken french and literal french are really different.
If you write, you have to do it correctly but when you speak it it's messy, everyone does what he wants to do with the words

The best French tutor is back. This is the best technique to learn sounds. Would definitely attend the french online class if it comes out.
Great video, I speak French (native) and I know that some pronunciation can be difficult to understand so I hope that your video'll help a lot of people
I love how the language already has so many letters that don't get pronounced in a word but the French are like, nah, it's still a lot, let's lose some more.
Wait till I upload my next video about fast French. You'll see how they omit whole syllables ...
I'm a half french and a half German, so now after I realized how my splitted nationality defines me, I want to learn french as perfect as possible. The good thing is, I didn't start with zero experience because I know the language since I was born. So yeah, wish me a bit luck
I’m French and as Nastya says: If you want to understand fast French speaker you have to work hard on something very important: CONNECTION. It changes the sound!
For example :
Ses amis=ses zamis (his/her friends)
Ils vont à l’école=ils vonta l’école (they are going to the school)
When you do the connection with letters X or S it pronounces Z ex: des_arbres= des zarbres (some trees), deux oiseaux=deux zoiseaux (two birds)
When you do the connection with letters D and a vowel it pronounces T ex: quand il fait nuit=quantil fait nuit (when it’s dark)
French it’s not easy but you have some tips to make it easy!
Well done Nastya!
i’ve been speaking french since i was 4 years old and yet i’m still watching this video for fun
I'm French I know this song since it's so famous, and I never knew she was saying "de l'amour, de la joie" I thought she was saying "je veux l'amour, la joie" that's always what i sang. So.. even native French can struggle to notice it 😅
🤣 good to hear from a native! 😜
im a french immersion student, through the years less and less kids in my class will actually speak french rendering it difficult to to practice my french, definitely subbing to your channel!
;)
I love this song and i just started learning French last week
Good Luck 💪 from 🇨🇵
Hey, idk if this could help anyone, but here’s an advice regarding the pronunciation :
Change the way you use your mouth when speaking another language.
One day i realised that even though the words which came out of my mouth were in english, i was moving it as if i was speaking french, if that makes sense, therefore i couldn’t pronounce the sounds properly or fast enough to have a good speaking rate.
For example, when speaking english the tongue is much more used than in french. It seems like a detail but once I started using my tongue to form the sounds, it complete changed my pronunciation.
Explaining it is kinda complicated but i hope you get the point and that it might help some of you!
I’m so glad I’m not alone in this struggle. In my french reading and writing I got 80%-90% my speaking and listening exams however I almost failed, it all sounded like one big word
Very excited of discovering this channel! French is my third language, still learning it. Tnx for this videos! Greetings from Mexico 😀
xD j'ai l'impression que la moitié des commentaires viennent de francophones natifs, super vidéo, c'était très intéressant de voir comment on apprend à prononcer ma propre langue xD
merci d'avoir parlé de la grande expérience d'enseignement du français
I love ZAZ I figured being a Spanish speaker it would a bit easier to learn. I do catch on but it takes a while
Hi!! So actually I just wanted to say that ,even if it's hard learning French speaking , I'm sure that you will made it ( to your objective 😇)
( I'm Canadian ,and Ive learned English in the first place ,and it was kind of a hard work ,but it's ok now ,I'm born in a part of Canada when you speak French) now I'm bilingual
I'm french but I don't know why I watch this video🤣🤣
Honestly, I’m Italian and I studied French at school for 8 years, unluckily I didn’t practice it and I almost lost it, but I still can understand it well (also thanks to the similarities to my native language), anyway, I noticed that I couldn’t understand a simple phrase in Canadian’s French while I was kinda good with French sounds. After a while I notice they used to speak faster without some vowels or pronunciation. Now I realize they probably used something like this 😳
I could be wrong obviously, maybe there are some more differences. But I think you guys can easily understand each other in general topic. Correct me otherwise ☺️
c'est super intéressant comme méthode d'apprentissage. j'espère que ça aidera les non francophones
Thank you miss for your video tutorials. I started learning French just few weeks ago, targeting for Canadian immigration. While I was searching for French tutorials I saw your video series and started following it from the first video. Can you please do some tutorials on French grammar rules?
I’m glad it’s useful to you Gimhana!
Ayubovan Gimhana. If you can, study at Alliance Française wherever you live (many in Lanka too). Else, sign up for Busuu, watch as many RUclips (change language settings in Google too). Best, talk to someone through Tandem or Conversation Exchange (never mind if you make mistakes). All the best.

Great video! Regarding the difference between 's' and 'z'; the term used in English is voicing - voiced/voiceless not soundless.
Oh thanks !

Mais c'est très instructif d'apprendre l'anglais avec toi, avec ta vidéo !
This amaizing, I am learning this verb, this is going to help me..
Thank you...
Hi there, Bravo ! What a great video. I am thinking if you, as a linguist, are willing to do a series of more technical video on rhythmic group, emphatic vs. contrastive stress, unvoicing of vowels, vowel length, gemination, consonantal assimilation, etc. You showed them how to use in practice, and they are something that shows up from time to time in your explanation in this series of Learn French with songs. Those are not obvious even to francophones, but are definitely of use for learners in getting more aware of the theory part. Take care !
Please continue this kind of videos thanks so much you helped me alot
Thank you so much 😭❤️

I am half french, and I nearly Unterstand everything in french. I have only one tip for you guys: If you want to improve your listening comprehension skills, just watch yt videos or Netflix series in French. Do everything that you can listen to in French. I swear to you, in a couple weeks, you will have way less problems.
I've learnt a lot from you to articulate my french pronunciation. My french parents-in-law could finally understand better what I'm saying, thanks to your tutorials. The other thing I would like to learn is how to differentiate the pronunciation of "moi" and "moins". This is so difficult!
This is so nice!
Will note about moi and moins!
Could u practice with me
My teacher had me practice this several times as well. Moi is more "frontal" and moins comes more from the "back" of the oral cavity. Helped me when I had to keep this in mind when pronouncing.
@@XYZ-fq4qr hey, thanks very much! I practise it several times and it works! Merci!

moi : moa (say it very fast)
moins : mouin (say it very fast)
exactly when I started learning French I think French is easy because there are a lot similar or same French words in Vietnamese. but when I listened to French videos, I couldn’t understand and I was so so sad 🥲🤣
We are kinda hard to understand too because we’ve not all the same way to speak in France, we have different word for every part of the France, that’s understandable than you’re struggling to learn French, good luck to all of the people who try 🙏 godbless you
