Jonathan this review was brilliant! From the intro to the posing( Funny as hell) of the figure! AWESOME! Can't wait till the next review!Brilliant x10000 .Thank you for the time you take to make these reviews!
I’m happy when others can appreciate it. I think I would have preferred his face when stopping the train from the second movie or the funny meme face 😂
I think any modern rendition of this figure was a long overdue and much welcomed addition. SHF just happen to get it out first! Now I’m curious how the Hasbro one is gonna be and definitely awaiting a MAFEX offering. Because that’ll be the one!
Got this guy for 2 weeks now and I can't put him down!!! I love him so much!!! By far the best 6 inch Tobey Maguire figure to date!!! Though you screwed with the long web nonetheless great review!
This might be my favorite review you've done. You just having fun and messing around with the figure and clearly having a great time doing so is probably the best review anyone is going to get of this product.
Love the figure, that side profile is pretty rough but I'm still so happy to have an updated figure. I wonder if/when someone will produce stuff from the original films 😮
Hat would be great. There are people selling custom heads for all of these actors. Not sure what fits SHF or anything, but the third party market for these guys is pretty good
I get why they called him friendly neighborhood spider man it's because back in the first one, Mj asked, "Who are? You know who I am. I do. Your friendly neighborhood, Spiderman
@NostalgiaUnboxed Spider-Man has always been my favorite superhero, and my favorite spider man is the Tobey Maguire Spiderman he has the best suit and villains
The older I get, the more I like spiderman 3. The whole trilogy had mature themes, it pretty much was my "chick flick", for example - Mary Jane bouncing around between flash, that guy with the car, Peter, Harry and the dude she was gonna marry , what the hell lol
I used tho think these SHFiguarts were just overpriced Marvel Legends, but I just got this figure and wow the amount of detail they were able to achieve is insane. How fine they were able to sculpt the raised webbing and emblem is insane. I’m a convert I think I might just sell all my Marvel Legends and move to this line. Also good call I think the lack of eyebrow paint is what’s throwing off the figure
I would also recommend checking out Mafex, most of their live action stuff tend to be better than SHF and their comic figures are well done like their TDKR line and Jim Lee X-Men
To quote Marge Simpson in the Japan episode ‘Thirty Minutes over Tokyo’: ‘I'd like to see the Japanese take on the club sandwich! I bet it's smaller and more efficient.’ Replace ‘Club sandwich’ with ‘toy packaging’ and you pretty much know everything you need to know! 😂
That is 90 dollars!!! Holy cow man yeeesshhh. Don’t get me wrong great figure design and love love the articulation, can’t stress that enough since most figures now a days don’t even have knee joints but that price is killer.
Haha. It’s definitely pricey depending on what we compare it to, but at this detail with these accessories it’s priced normally with comparable brands.
I got mine yesterday. Of course I was very worried because of the early pictures of the head sculpts... but now in hand I would say that the neutral look is pretty good for a mass produced 1/12 head. The smiling face could be Tobey but definitely needs a better custom paint job - but out of the box, I would not use this head in my display. I really dislike the weird Diaper-Flaps - i don't think they do anything for the poseability and the whole hip-area is a bit over engineered. Overall I quite like the Figure but for ~95€ I wouldn't recommend this figure. There are so many better Spider-Man Variants. And tbh - this is not quite the Tobey we REALLY want, am i right?
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yes! A 2004 Tobey Figure would be awesome. And if anybody ask me what Spider Man Figure i would recommend? From what i own - Probably the Amazing Spider Man from Mafex - 075 or the 108 Comic Re-Paint. But those are at this point even more expensive then Figuarts Tobey hahaha
@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah obviously but I ask you based on the promo shots and leaked pictures of the actual figure. Also your experience with figures may help you tell the differences of those two products
@@NostalgiaUnboxed you’ll love him! Just a head’s up on replacing the hands: don’t twist them as you pull them out. The pegs are very thin and will bend and eventually break. I learned it the hard way with one of his wall-crawling hands. Just pull them straight out without twisting and you’ll be fine.
I got mine a few weeks ago [sorry] I feel like BOTH the Toby heads got twisted in the mold or something. The forehead is facing one way and the face is facing the opposite... the distance between his eyebrows and His temples/side burns arent even. I know faces arent perfectly symmetrical but its wayyyyy off on these. It does all look like him just not normal straight on. The rest of the figure is a 9/10 for me.
@@alexstrouse6333 I bought the Hasbro one but haven’t used it yet. I’ve been wanting to do a comparison video to see who was the best, but since Obitsu has been out of stock I have held off
Damn, I have the Mafex Comic version Spidey coming in a few days and I was gonna stop there, but this Tobey Maguire version…. Dangit, I might just hunt him down. I have a soft spot for this version of Spidey even though I find the movies a bit too corny now, even the second one (still love them, but they did lose some of their shine over the years), so yeah, just might get this guy. As for Hasbro, yeah don’t bother, they are digging their own grave.
Definitely a pass for me not a fan of the body molds and not a fan of the thong look i really liked the way they use todo the joints on star- wars line
@@NostalgiaUnboxed no I mean the old SH.F like ROTJ luke he had great articulation and didn't have the weird looks as for better then Hasbro it's a silly comparison that would be like comparing sh.f to hot toys knowing hot toys will always be better because of a higher spending cap Hasbro can't put effort of a company that is charging $89.00-$100.00 it took Hasbro $100.00 to release a 3 pack

He did all the work there. Lol
Tobey has a goofy smile and that's actually pretty accurate from the end of the movie.
I’m happy when others can appreciate it. I think I would have preferred his face when stopping the train from the second movie or the funny meme face 😂
Well I mean it’s accurate to Toby
@@NostalgiaUnboxed I loved that constipated face😂 Really showed the sheer effort he put into stopping that train.

Yeah, if Mafex does one it will certainly be the best option for the scale. Hasbro will make a turd hahaha
Mafex should Wait on No way home, & make a raimi Spider-Man line just like they did with The Dark Knight trilogy.
