I was planning on buying the kit for the Goku Black, happy to say I want it even more now. Plus you're possibly the first person I've seen actually review the accessories too.
I think the best way to think of the matte vs pearl hair is like this. Matte is when he doesn't have his aura activated while pearl is when it is. The subtle purple-ish finish on his clothes on the con exclusive and cheap release kinda work with this in mind while the original release didn't have it. Either way, preferences are preferences. I like the pearl look since I think it looks good representing the whole "God Ki" thing with the new forms.
I’d buy this set for the scythe alone! It was such a bummer when the first one came out and it didn’t have it. Also, it was wild how much more difficult it was to find SHF DB stuff back then. Never thought I’d see them in target of all places.

I got the original sh figuarts on my own and ended up having a ton of fun with it by itself. But then my absolute BOY clutched up and got me the upgrade kit for my birthday, the figure gets so much better overall!
I bought this a year ago where in canada it was bring sold for around 75$ and i dont regret it, im a goku black simp so yeah im a bit biased on this part but when u put some accessories like the pink aura it really comes together a whole lot better since the pinkish finish sort of makes it look like its actuslly in the aura itself, makes it more visually appealing.
in case you're wondering, currently we have 3 goku blacks by SHF, not released in this particular order here they are: first release with base form and ss rosé matte hair colored head, dark kamehameha + pink blade effect second is the cheap one, no effects, just him as a ss rosé with shiny hair paint third the event exclusive sdcc version, he comes with the pink blade effect, the pink ki aura, unique face design and facial expressions they are all basically the same, but each one has a particularity that distinguishes them from each other. one is complete, the other is accessible and the last one is the deluxe edition

I have the 2019 Event Exclusive and a lot of people assume the $35 Goku Black rose is just that one stripped down with less accessories but its actually completely different. The EE has translucent hair where as the $35 has metallic hair. Also the shading is a bit better in the $35 version. Also tge face paint is a little more stylistic on the $35 version.
Sometimes I'll by some DragonStars figures that come with effects... since the Figuarts ones are so expensive. I just got a Vegeta that had a few effects, now I might get the equivalent Goku with effects.
Didn't even realize they re-released Goku Black twice lol. Picked up 2 of the original run and never bothered to check, figure was perfect. People are better off going with the Demoniacal Fit "alternative" imo - that pearlescent finish on these 2 re-releases is really gaudy looking.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Oh for sure - I think it looks really nice on the Blue hair for the Goku or Vegeta figures - the God Goku Pearlescent Red hair variants also come to mind. Something about the shade of pink that comes off as a bit weird, idk!

I got Demonical Fit Goku Black "Chosen Ones" for the same parts as from this upgrade pack. Well at least I got additional dark purple kamehameha effect and no pink shiny body.
While watching this review i realised that this is one of the goku black clones when goku black liked cloned himself and made that like purple crack in the sky

For fun I wish they would have a way to add goku to wearing the saiyan armor like when him and Gohan where training in the time chamber. Vegeta is to short to just swap that onto him haha. Or maybe a custom body order somewhere?
