Albert was my favorite LHOTP character. Yes, those 2 movies you mention are indeed powerful. The morphine one should be mandatory watching for every young teen today.

My favorite show and I agree! That is probably one of the most powerful episodes they did. I wish more people could have been exposed to that as a young person. It along with my faith kept me far away from drugs. Thanks for making this video. :)

A Reunion Movie LHOTP with Mathew Labyorteaux aka Dr. Albert Ingalls would have been Awesome! It for sure would have filled in that mystery gap on whether he would have died or got cured of the blood disease and lived To Return to Walnut Grove as The Best Doctor besides Baker! A Blowed up Town such as Walnut Grove can be Appealed and Restored! Think about Jenny Wilder, Nancy Ingalls, Baby Rose Wilder as well as Jeb & Jason Carter, There wasn't much change in any of their ages within a year of the episodes! Mathew Labyorteaux was Great in "Whiz Kids" 1983 TV Series as well as Horror movie "Deadly Friend" with Kristy Swanson from 1986! Just wish that Michael Landon and the Executives could of Kept future ideas in mind!
I was afraid the ending of this story was that the character of Albert became a prince in some foreign country, but was eventually canned…🥁

So Albert was in the books? A few viewers considered his character a shark jump. One frequent criticism about period shows and movies is the historically inaccurate hairstyles. Somebody said that both Albert and Willie would have gotten haircuts by the time they were out of baby dresses. Yes, for a time even baby boys got put in dresses. If nothing else, it made diaper changing easier.
The movie covering his morphine addiction ended with a footnote. Laura said that he later returned to Walnut Grove as a doctor. But the next movie suggested he died. One article at the time cited him doing the series Whiz Kids as a reason. The final movie had them blowing up the town. Otherwise they could have done like the Waltons and kept making more movies. Even with adding Albert, the producers should have still given more storylines to Carrie and Grace.

The Little House Books were much better than the series IMHO. There was no Albert in real life, but there was an infant son that died. If you visit the museum in Missouri you'll see Pa's actual fiddle among other treasured items that belonged to the Ingalls. Sorry, but I didn't care for the series very much, but thanks for all your hard work in doing these videos.
