I can't get over how polite they are to each other on the flight deck, and how their voices are never much more than a murmur as they communicate with each other. Wonderful!
These cockpit movies are tremendous. I wish US airlines would allow comprehensive full-flight films like this - thank goodness Lufthansa, Air Baltic, et al. are so accommodating. Looking forward to more full flight films!
I admire and love the professionalism and extreme competence displayed by this crew. Marina and Gerhard are simply the best. I hope to one day fly with these two.
I've been viewing aircraft videos for some years now and it's turned more or less into a side hobby. I suppose having two Uncles that were jet fighter pilots in the Vietnam era piqued my interest in flying at a young age. I must say and give congratulations to Captains Marina and Gerhard for their warm welcome and very professional interaction with viewers. I spent the last 14 years of my career as an international accounts manager and flew to many points on the globe, mainly to Europe and Asia. Without people like Air Clips, a typical passenger like myself only knows the cockpit by way of hearing their cabin announcements and saying goodbye or thank you as I depart at my destination. Air Clips provides a very good service in many ways and personalizes the flying experience. I'm now retired, but I have a better understanding and increased respect for the flying profession, especially for the two pilots featured in this video.
The a220 is really the ”corona winner” I think the flexibility of this aircraft will be vital during the ramp up as well as the economic and environmental aspects
I truly enjoy watching Air Baltic grows into a very professional airline under Mr. Gauss' leadership. I hope one day to experience the A220 in person. My previous 2 attempts have been denied due to last minute equipment change (2018 with Swiss and 2021 with Air Canada). Maybe I should go to Riga to have 100% chance of flying on A220! Thank you to Captain Marina and Captain Gerhard and the Air Clip team for the excellent experience.
"Did you see the little bird on rotation?" Amazing Both are captains so i guess they are in a Routine allready but their concentration is 100 percent on point. Great Video, great Pilots
What a wonderful video! So calm, so credible, so professional, so sympathetic! Marina and Gerhard are very experienced but still grounded. Gerhard could be - by his age - Marina's father and Marina could be his daughter. But in no moment of this video, there came up any kind of competition. I really admired her and him and I just love this video. In addition: Marina is a wonderful name. I am a fanatic sailor. Marina means for me a harbor (in any sence and meaning).
I think that these videos show just how much Air Baltic has improved. They have really turned their operation around and are now better than other carriers in the area. Things like new aircraft, new routes and much better customer service. A very different airline from the bad airline that they used to be. Jerry
Love the video, thanks for posting! A point of interest--airBaltic "tankered" (1:28:30) roughly 7 hours worth of fuel for the outbound and return journey to Riga. Airlines (notably British Airways) used to do this to avoid paying for more expensive fuel at their outbound destination until it was banned for environmental reasons. However, no airline would never dispatch with enough fuel for the entire round trip. Just another anomaly of the pandemic, and a good showcase of an incredibly efficient aircraft.
Both your Circle K delux Coffee and the A220 have somewhat Montréal in common. The Circle K chain is owned by "Alimentation Couche Tard" which is based in Laval (Montréal's immediate northern suburb). And AirBaltic's A220 are built just a few kilometers further north - in Mirabel.
I never flown Air Baltic but I can't wait to get on board! Chief Pilot Gerhard is incredible, he is very calm collective and very articulate! I wish he was in the cockpit when I was learning to fly! Captain Marina is an amazing pilot! Although she was speaking with Chief Gerhard, her eyes were constantly monitoring the aircraft. I wish I could meet her someday! Awesome video, great cinematography!
I have never had the pleasure of visiting Latvia, but if I ever do, I would be happy to fly with Air Baltic. Being Canadian, I have a soft spot in my heart for the A220, never had the honour of flying on one yet. I love all of your videos. All the staff seems so professional, and nice.🇨🇦
I've just been reading that Airbus is going to increase the range from 3400nm to 4000nm in future planes. What a great crew flying this awesome modern aircraft, super video, both pilots are a credit to their airline.
I love your video clipe, I also want to be pilote,I can not do it because of my glasses, so I wach some airplain cockpit conversations, so it is hard to flay airplain than, car,so I enjoy waching your video clipe, and I looking for play airplain games too, so I love airplains, I don't like to crash.(safety first)😃👍
This is such a pleasure to watch. Both pilots very calm, collected and friendly. I felt like I was in the cockpit. Thank you for these great reportages and all the effort you put into it. Awesome work, and always looking forward to more!
Simply great Thank you so much It's worth that you had to be scrambled behind the captain's seat A very nice Video I wish I could have the chance to film it myself deepest thanks for it
In today's world of hate and divide fueled by so many uncertainties, twisted and politicized out of all proportion, it is so refreshing to see a company, its employees, and its union, working together with the utmost professionalism and in such harmony. This is both rare and uplifting, I would even go as far as saying extremely heartwarming. If Air Baltic can maintain this healthy family attitude from the bottom up within, coupled with the quietest and greenest aircraft currently flying, it is poised for success and growth. Personally, I would love to see Air Baltic flying to Montreal perhaps it can work something out with Air Transit to open up services between the Baltic states and Canada.
Great video. I enjoyed the easy communication and teamwork of the two pilots. A little unusual for there to be 2 captains flying together, and one of them the airline's chief pilot. I just wonder if there are any circumstances in which the chief pilot would ever assume command of the aircraft by virtue of seniority or does the left-hand seat captain retain command of the aircraft regardless. Presumably they would 'brief' for this beforehand.
Incredible people, I’ve never flown in a passenger jet , I was surprised to see how little space there was between the passenger seats, I wouldn’t want to go very far like that , but the skill of these pilots is to be wondered at and their coolness .
They are using the same financial model as Southwest in the USA; by using a single aircraft model, they maximize the use of their pilots, reduce maintenance costs. Its most likely the only way forward for a lot of these companies, but it also ties you to a single supplier, which we saw is not ideal if something happens that immobilize your aircraft type. Anyone flown with them here?
Captain Gerhard is a legend! A true gent and his English is just impeccable.
Yeah I love the accent. He is one of the best and a really like able person as well
I can't get over how polite they are to each other on the flight deck, and how their voices are never much more than a murmur as they communicate with each other. Wonderful!
The voice of the pilot in right seat is so relaxing. very proficient English. Great crew.
Listening to Gerhard and Marina shows what true professionals they are.
One of the most aesthetically beautiful passenger aircraft in the skies!
These cockpit movies are tremendous. I wish US airlines would allow comprehensive full-flight films like this - thank goodness Lufthansa, Air Baltic, et al. are so accommodating. Looking forward to more full flight films!
So happy to see aviation returning back to good old days. We will come back stronger!
Proud Canadian I still call this beautiful bird Bombardier CSeries .....
These pilots are so inspiring! Felt like being inside a swiss clock! Precision precision and more precision!
I guess every pilot will be happy when they can fly with a pilot like Gerhard!
Marina & Gerhard and the Airbus A220 thank you. 1 hour 48 well spent thx.
Its now Feb 2023.
The voice of mister Gerhard is so good and relaxing. Would make feel so comfortable flying with this professional pilot.
I admire and love the professionalism and extreme competence displayed by this crew. Marina and Gerhard are simply the best. I hope to one day fly with these two.

Love seeing proffesionals do their thing really makes you appreciate peoples dedication to the art of flight
The a220 is really the ”corona winner” I think the flexibility of this aircraft will be vital during the ramp up as well as the economic and environmental aspects
It's like watching a pilot being interviewed In front of audiences in a cockpit designed studio with a cockpit noise background. Very entertaining.
Marina seems to be a professional reporter, and a better pilot. Kudos for her and all the crew!
Nice Backfire along side the runway! What a fantastic video this is ...any teenager dreaming of being a pilot, should watch these!
I like the feeling of this 'casual discipline' when I watch these videos.
Great video, excellent flying Marina, and Gerhard is an amazing chief pilot.
Wow, what inspiring, sincere and absolute Professionals and Exceptional Humanitarians Marina and Gerhard are. I just loved this video...........

I've seen a couple of videos from Air Baltic. They seem a very professional outfit with a decently new fleet.

advanced cockpit layout!
Such a nice professional crew and the A220 is a gorgeous aircraft.
Thank you for the support ☺️
Excellent captain and crew!I would love to fly on a jet with them anytime!

Thanks Ebi sad that you cant fly because of your disability but maybe you will be able to come close to that dream one day, stay safe :)
The front section of the A220 really reminds me of a DHComet.
This is an incredible video. Every part of the production is first class and so interesting. Congratulations on a fantastic effort!
Air clips makes the best cockpit movies than enyone else 🤩😍😍
What an awesome video ! Great crew, great airline, great AC and great cinematography!
one of the best documentary i have seen. the same runway configuration as in Zürich
I love the A220 Flight deck looks incredibly pilot friendly!
It really is! a nice structure for a clean work environment
This is such a pleasure to watch. Both pilots very calm, collected and friendly. I felt like I was in the cockpit. Thank you for these great reportages and all the effort you put into it. Awesome work, and always looking forward to more!
Thank you very much! Greeetings from the or-clips office :)
First class video and so professional. Marina is wonderful, which is a bonus!
Simply great Thank you so much It's worth that you had to be scrambled behind the captain's seat A very nice Video I wish I could have the chance to film it myself deepest thanks for it
Sad to see the reduction of the airline due to covid19, but fantastic crew and flight

My sweat heart captain Marina. In 74-76 i flew from Riga Airport. On IL36
Great video. I enjoyed the easy communication and teamwork of the two pilots. A little unusual for there to be 2 captains flying together, and one of them the airline's chief pilot. Chief pilots actually may get a lot fewer flying hours, so opportunities such as this keep their currency and proficiency up.
Fantastic Documentary, with clearly details. Thank you
Incredible people, I’ve never flown in a passenger jet , I was surprised to see how little space there was between the passenger seats, I wouldn’t want to go very far like that , but the skill of these pilots is to be wondered at and their coolness .
Thank you very much for the video and your information.
wonderful video, so professional. thanks very mch.
who else enjoyed Captain Gerhard's accent? :)
Marina is my dream girl! Outstanding!
A step up for Marina from flying the Dash8|
Great, I am super exited about this A-220; I can’t wait to see it.
I’d love to have Marina as my first officer on the 777F for Lufthansa
Fantastic documentary! Look forward to more videos 👍
This is awesome.. I'm so grateful this was suggested to me.
Thank you for what you are doing, great effort, great photography, excellent trips
Fabulous video, very professional... wishing Air Baltic only the very best for the future!
Before this flight Captain Marina said plane came from Dubrovnik,Croatia so hello to everyone from Pearl of Adriatic(Dubrovnik).
welcome to Bangladesh.. please make a full flight video of Biman Bangladesh Airlines
That is a sharp looking clean plane. Dirty planes make me a little bit nervous to fly on.
The instruments look like the A350 and B787 had a baby. I see elements of both designs :D
Great content Patrick. Love it too much 😊😊😊😊😊. Nice to see Baltic Birds back in air
This channel is flat out amazing! Well done Patrick!
Really enjoyed this video and the honest account by the chief pilot of Baltic air.
Great crew and excellent video!
The Airbus A220: Nice Plane, The Pilots: Are Great. This is a green Team.
Great video! Could you please tell us when the flight was performed? Thx!
Its criminal what boeing did to Bombardier with the a200 series
Do you have 2 captain grade pilots onboard because it is a new aircraft type?
wonderful video, Congrats !!!
One of my favorite airlines :)
Excelente muchas gracias los saluda Carlos r desde colonbia
ah finally after a few weeks of watching few cockpit take off and landing videos, i have come to my countrys aviation company heh
Excellent video, very well done!
A video to remember during the pandemic situation ( wearing mask by the crew).
The most beautiful Marina on the planet. I admire smart women.
Love to see Ryanair pre flight check. 2 wings, check. 2 engines, check. Tyres pumped up, quick kick, check. Let's go.
Gerhard speaks beautiful English, perhaps has spent a lot of time in Ireland listening to his voice.
I know I hate you mean his voice is just really calming and paired with his perfect English it is perfect for this job ☺️
So, good luck on your journies on boltic air lines, and I wish you guys the best, and enjoy flaying what ever you can. ((Thank you, goodluck))😃👍
Thank you! Will do!
Really enjoyed
really good flight video
Awesome video. Where is the return flight?
why is the engine start so long compared to other aircrafts ? (1 minute and 30 seconds on chronometer)
is it just me or was that an incredibly fast taxi at the end
Great flight. Love the Clouds. 💥👍🔥👊🇬🇧”🎄🎄
The best ever woman Mary! I flew fron that strip in 75-76
I think with sufficient power and the right pilot at the Joy Stick, that Airbus A220 should be able to accomplish a 360 Barrel Roll.

Anyone flown with them here?
Do plane stewardess have ranks as well?
Yes but it only contains the base rank and the head of the cabin crew
Nice video 👍
More Ivars please ☺
We need a giant cockpit with only lvars
all the best
