Beautiful photography and excellent narrative - great job!! I was in Switzerland in 2022 and again this month. Its scenery is like no others in the world and infrastructure is impressive. I’m totally in love with Switzerland and will go back again and again in years to come.

Very nice video. The name 'Lauterbrunnen', however, does not mean 'loud fountain' or 'loud spring' (Brunnen meaning of course fountain or spring). The word 'lauter' has two meanings in German. Nowadays, the most common one is indeed 'loud', but it has also the meaning of 'pure' or 'bright'. In this older meaning it is not used much (if ever) anymore. It comes from the old-German word 'luiter' (you might recognize the kinship to 'light' or 'lighter'). In a latin document of 1243 the name of Lauterbrunnen was given as 'Claro Fonte' which clarifies the meaning of 'Lauter' as referring to 'clean' or 'pure'.
In Switzerland (and Germany and Austria) there are many communities called 'Lauterbach' which translates to 'clean creek' and it is also a common family name.

@@dreamtojourneyfamily Indeed, "Lauter" in this context means "replete with" or "nothing but" springs...

The word is mostly reduced to some fossilised expressions. There’s the antonym “unlauter”, usually appearing as “unlauterer Wettbewerb” (unfair business practices), and the “Schweizerische Lauterkeitskommission”, an organisation of the media and advertising industry for self-control regarding legal and ethical guidelines for advertisements and other media content.

Bern isn't actually the capital, Switzerland has no capital. Bern is just the de facto capital because that's where the swiss government is located but we're all about decentralization of power here that's why we don't have a de jure capital.
