What a conundrum , I enjoy playing and harmonising English folk tunes and music making with likeminded musicians . But I also appreciate Victor Orban,, voted for Brexit and wouid vote conservative all the time Labour continues its vendetta against working class people whilst pretending that it actually cares . Shouild I move to different music , change all of my political and philosophical views or just shoot myself in face . I never realised when I drifted into English folk that left wing views were mandatory .
@@squeezyjohn1 Thats a flabby argument even for a labour supporter ! I have a horrible feeling the actual answer , and i'd be interested in other views , is that folk, wonderful though it is , is no more representative of ordinary working people now than the labour party is - I look forward to a time when folk finds its way back to the working class people and shakes off the rather censorious middle class cloak it wears. " We are nice people" indeed !
@@Dougalicious91 Another costume drama response that upholds my point - folk seems to have become a medium for " nice " people and without doubt really does not deserve to be called " folk" any more - maybe it should be called " middle class folk" , or " public sector folk " or " Labour fundnded by unions but thats not sneeze folk" or even " graduate only folk " but its not folk in the sense that most of us know it . Even now you are making a simpering joke at the " low bar set by Brexit supporters" - are you really saying anti European must mean low IQ - what about Tony Benn ? I suspect he also enjoyed a bit of actual folk too.
politics doesnt always divide, it can also bring people together!!
What a cracking sound! Brilliant!! I shall keep learning the tunes, but now with an even bigger backing track!!! Thanks to everyone.
This is simply wonderful.
Excellent - Thank you John!! Love the decorated banana Owen! 😁
I agree wholeheartedly with Owen and Freya on their messaging
Nicely played as ever
Wonderful session John! Glad Boris the Banana was able to join us!!
Everyone of them look like they need a wash haha
Oh, hahahahahaha! 🙄
Is this the new national anthem?!
Excellent session - I wish I had managed my guitar part a bit quicker... I'm afraid the tempo threw me...
The session sounds great! I tried to learn these tunes, but didn't manage in time.

Not mandatory ... just very very common ... because we're nice people.
Oh ... it's you! I didn't know the "appreciate Viktor Orban" bit ... but thanks for warning me.

@@PrimaryInt To be fair, there was nothing substantial about any of your points. Even in comparison to the low bar usually set by Brexit supporters.
