Love the addition of the autoharp, adds a lovely shimmering sound. Interestingly I'd never played the original minor version of William Taylor's before this, but I have been playing a major version for years with my morris side, always knowing it was originally minor but never getting round to trying that version until now!
The first one is a gypsy tune ... possibly, but not definitely learnt while travelling in Ireland (Lemmie Brazil spent a lot of her early life travelling around Ireland but ended up in Gloucestershire) ... it would probably have been used to accompany step-dancing in pubs.
I've got stuck on a loop listening to this - it's really cheered me up today - thank you!
Just discovered you, such lovely things we were doing with love back in those strange days, thank you all so much for all this wonderful music . . . x
I can''t get over how good it all sounds! And that I can join in from Nairobi! Amazing stuff for strange times - thank you John.
Nice to see penny whistle don't hear enough of this instrument in the English tradition
Lovely English music
Thanks for another great shed session John. They really do fill a yawning gap in our musical lives in these strange times. Power to both your elbows!
Lovely tunes, thank you xxx
Spending my bank holiday listening to this (between marking exams). I can't think of a better way to spend time!
This is such a lovely thing! A very happy May weekend to all the wonderful musicians.

Thanks Owen! The autoharp is one of the things I'm very glad I packed (carefully!) in my suitcase seven months ago!
Also forgot to say what a great tune Garlands is and it's still going round my head a week later!
Yes - that one is definitely an ear worm! :-)
Lovely. :¬)
Great one!
My 7YO said the first 2 are pirate tunes. Probably right for hornpipes?
