    Love it. No shitty commercials from a tin, just flat out documentary about the industry of the shop sponsoring you. This is how it should be done, with immersion and creating interest by showing people that tools (that includes shoes etc.) don't magically appear in the shop.
    Also, at 4:31 - the point with the STOP tab over the stop button is to press it to stop the machine instead of having to lift the tab each time.

    • @benlogan9312
      @benlogan9312 3 года назад

      I did notice that also but he wasn't stitching anything onto the welt. If the glue does its job right it will hold just fine without an outsole stitch. I'd remove every stitch and probly go a leather midsole goodyeared on then vibram commando, heel stack top lift etc... Assuming that's what the customer wanted sometimes people want to save money on the repair not all repairs get the works regrettably. I feel in this instance the guys have gave Will a crash course on shoe repairs and from what I see he's done a fantastic job first time around. You don't learn shoe repair over night, I'm 12 years in and I'm still learning.

    Excellent looking hammer Will.
    I loved the first person video game view at 3:12
    I was not so much loving your shop safety at 6:12, and the resulting head injury at 6:20
    Please take care.

    Will I'm jealous, I always wanted to build a leather shoe or boot. Totally not my trade but one that craftsmanship determines the quality. So much respect.

    I never comment, but this video was awesome Will!
    So much better than how videos used to be structured!
    Love the bit where you actually used it too, wish there was a super like button right now 🤣

    Hey Will, when you were working with Alec we saw you and Alec using the powerhammer to forge weld damascus billets. Here we see you using the press. Is there a specific reason for that?

      He’s still waiting for the motor to go on his power hammer, remember.

      To getting the name of the press maker in the video? (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

    Great video, Will. Be careful not to take spills like that often. Your gourd can only handle so much, after all. God bless!
