The definition of a static takeoff is as follows; “Static take off: In a static take off, the pilot holds position at the end of the runway with brakes on, then adjusts the throttles to a pre assigned takeoff setting before releasing the brakes.”

@@BenBen-vk7vq a takeoff from dead stop uses less runway then a rolling start .
In classic aircraft examp. B737-200 we do that also when engine intermix .
