Good to see the catch and cook again. It wouldn't matter what type of net you used in that spot because you would have got them anyway. What I cannot see is somewhere to put your details on the net, maybe a small string to connect a float with your details and you would know where they were then. Nice feed of yabbies and the Garlic Butter was the perfect choice. Thumbs up Robbie 👍
Thanks so much mate. When I've needed credentials on the nets I've been using masking tape. I do need to rig up something better. It will need to be something that I can clip off, or untie so as to keep them easy to pack up and fold away.

That actually is healthy, high fat and no carbs. Those short cut bacon peices are a good choice. Some people might argue that the butter isn't healthy but it's ok in moderation. Salt free butter would probably be better and just use a couple of teaspoons of crushed garlic from a jar. Looks bloody yummmmm ❤❤
Robbie, an earlier comment beat me to it, but that was absolutely healthy. If you had put the yabbies and bacon in a sandwich or roll, that would make it unhealthy, it’s the processed carbs that are the problem. As a type 2 diabetic I’ve been on a keto, (high fat, low carb) diet for 2 years and I’ve lost 25 kg and do not take any diabetic medication at all and my kidney function improved immediately. I have mentioned to you before that you look like a prime candidate for type 2 and I often think to myself that’s where you’re headed. I’m only saying this because I worry about you and it seemed like an apt time to mention it.
mmmm, garlic butter yabbies. The best way to eat them. Also Chilli Yabbies. Some chopped chillis or chilli flakes (fresh is best of course), a bit of olive oil, some fine diced garlic, ginger and onion. Coat the boiled tails, allow to sit for a while to marinade and toss in hot pan. Yummo.
@@robbiefishing Fair enough. My nan used to do a fish and yabbie hot pot. Basically a bunch of vegetables and herbs roughly chopped, then what ever fish frames and the meat cut into chunks, the yabbies added and the whole lot boiled for hours. It did not matter to her if we caught trout and Redfin or cod and Yellowbelly, she would chop them all up and add them if she was in the mood for a fishpot stew.
❤❤❤❤ The yabbie videos I am so addicted to watching catching them and cooking, simple cooking style and sometimes the experimentation of different kinds of dishes and ways of cooking them!😊. Yummo!
@@robbiefishing yeah but not that healthy LoL 🤣
Lovely video Robbie, would you ever get back to the salt water again
Thanks mate. I'm sure I will at some point but I'm not sure when. I really enjoy salt water fishing.
@@robbiefishing keep the videos coming man . I’m on the eyre peninsula in South Australia nowhere near any sort of freshwater fishing and your videos shows me a different side of fishing seems very relaxing casting trout lures dream of mine to do it one day when I’m older.
Been after a saltwater fish video for a while I just want to bug Rob too much lol
You should get yourself a Thermacell insect repellent thingy ma jig. Great for mosquito's when fishing too.
They sound interesting 🤔
Those Nets are no good Robble...🤣
Hahaha A few people told me that. I'm determined to spend the rest of my life proving them wrong. Haha 😂😂😂😂😂
Short bit of mono on a on a float tied to the top might help find them if they go in a little bit deep.
Thanks for the great tip mate.
Bloody beauty's mate
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Hey Robby I had a yabbying session where I caught yabbies upto 30cm and then someone come along with 21 opera house nets and cleaned the lake out and its never been the same unfortunately
WOW That really sucks mate. Was that in Victoria? They're banned here.
Welding gloves flip the prickles upside down foot massage lol funny as will take it all day after a 40 minute rub ya can pick them up with no gloves 🧤 😂😂.
Welding gloves, what an excellent idea. Thanks mate, I need to grab a pair and throw them in the car .
Yum 😋
Battered yabbys are also very good
Hey Robbie... Heard U mention U can't get chicken carcasses... IGA Corowa...in the dog food fridge...
Hi mate, that's great to know. Thank you so much.
@robbiefishing all good mate...was deciding what to give my 3 oxygen thieving lazy dogos and realised I was staring at the chicken carcasses... Oi Robbie wanted these😂
Hey man anything in garlic butter taste great. And what's the matter with putting bells on your fishing rod.?
Haha you're not wrong. It's amazing.
I have no issues with bells on fishing rods. I don't use them often, but will use them if and when I need to.
Just a question, mate. Yabbie nets in vic we need to tag, i.e., name n address, does it not any to these craw fish ones? And I love garlic n butter yabbies. Mm mmm mmmm nom nom
Thanks mate. Yes these nets definitely need to be labelled in Victoria when left unattended.
I usually put a bit of masking tape at the top with my details on it.
oi can i get some truth on yabbies? some people reckon they dont eat the bait and just wanna get rid of it or something? whats the go with that?
Hi mate, I have heard that myself but I don't believe it to be honest.
Robbie, do you purge your yabbies or just cook them straight from the dam
Hi mate, not usually. I just throw them in the pot.
When I cook them at home I will often purge them a little bit in the sink with heaps of salt. The salt just makes any parasites fall off.
Who cares about healthy eating when you only have once in a blue moon, or even twice! It’s definitely the best way I’ve ever eaten Yabbies. Those nets really are a great addition to your arsenal, the ease of checking, getting the Yabbies out and returning the net is so satisfying to watch. Well done mate, it’s Yabbie time again! 🎉
Thanks so much Kevin. I'm really enjoying using these nets for those very reasons. 👍👍
Thanks for doing that off camera mate
Ya know yabbie go to the meat to get it out of the river not eat it but good video Robbie
Hi mate, I have heard this, but I don't believe it personally. 👍
Yeah it’s 50 50
Your awesome, my dreams to catch some yabbys with you
Thank you so much mate. 👍👍
'They're huge!' (That's what she said! )
Hahaha
@@robbiefishing ;o)
Yep. We need to invent smell-o-vision.
Hahaha definitely.
I would have thrown that in a wrap witn some avocado to appear slightly healthy but great snack anyway
Yummo.
I swear the flies are getting worse every year aye Robbie
Hey mate, it certainly feels that way doesn't it.
