Taking out late hits is like taking the soul out the game
So you’d rather it not exist? There is no way the NFL would approve a Blitz game like it used to be. For those that want to play an arcade style football game, this is it till Madden loses the license exclusivity. So why complain for something that is not for you. All these negative people are the reason the world is so cynical. Just let the rest of us enjoy it.

Late hits were entertaining as a child. I can't believe adults are complaining about late hits. Who the hell cares. I want arcade football period. Late hits grow old fast. After a game or 2 it doesn't have the same enjoyment hitting someone late unless you're simple in the brain.
I don't know why but the game without late hits really removes a lot of the laughs and if you can't have the classic lineups of players from the late 90's and 00's then this removes too much for me to consider buying. Great review as always!
It’s a dope cabinet but I loved the late hit reactions ! Especially the leg drops, it’s a buzz kill for me

Wow that NFL blitz cabinet is great. It gives you the ability to play and reminds me of the older Madden home entertainment system. It is just as entertaining while giving the nostalgia of the popular arcade era. Looks great and lots of fun. By the way someone sent me a text that I won something last night. Bro this is fun man, and I’m not into football that much, I just can’t wait for my MVC2 cabinet so fucking hyped!! Since the cabinet has internet they can easily update the games, hell even add features if they wanted.

I bought one yesterday and had some issues with the install. One of the large panels was missing the predrilled holes. I also noticed that the game had the Commanders listed and then after an update listed the Redskins.
That sucks

Not really much of a sports fan, but always loved the over the top sports games like Blitz, NBA Jam etc. where you could just have fun without wading through the minutia of a sport. They should port these to other modern platforms so you don’t need a cab taking up space and $300+ expenditure just for these games. I’d definitely pick up a re-release on PC, Switch etc. but don’t have room for a cab.
Just got this game and having some issues of game resetting at halftime to Home Screen before the game I’m playing is over. Is this a software thing?

I actually bought it online through Best Buy. Was excited and watched your video. Once I heard the late hits was removed, I canceled my order. That made the game even more fun/funnier.
Good call. Taking out late hits is like taking out the gore from mortal Kombat. What a complete waste and utter failure.

No late hits ruins it. I'll just build a MAME cabinet. Hearing Kitzrow yell "holy f**king shit!" as the poor ball carrier gets body slammed after the play is what made the OG arcade version so great.

Great review. Caught it late. Hands down the most played cabinet in my house. Every night I play a game with my boys (8&4). I'm glad you picked the Patriots in your Blitz gameplay. My favorite team. I actually have a A1up support ticket in. They have Terry Glenn and Ben Coates numbers wrong in the game. They have it correct in the team select but the actual jersey numbers are wrong in the game. Even when Coates (87) catches it the number is right in yellow but his jersey is 69 in game. Is that a throwback Brandon Stokley jersey?!?! 💯👍

back on BLITZ 99, could utilze the 'on-sides' kick-offs & cause the receiving team to fumble with targeted hit - - their fumble would fly 10-20 yards back airborne, hit / fumble sounded like a STAR WARS blaster

This cab got a bad rep coming out this all the drama of late hits and lack of online. I think it’s the most fun cab that 1up has right now. It’s crazy entertaining.

I sometimes feel like I'm the only person to have never done late hits in NFL Blitz. I just wanted to play an arcade version of football, it didn't need to be even more violent than regular football.

Not having late hits is what made nfl blitz, nfl blitz to me. Nfl blitz with no late hits is simply an inferior nfl street game.
