I know. I don’t think he really got the bullet pass down either. But still funny as hell and good content. Maybe he’ll give it a round 2 and get off the struggle bus.
@@RayRayDontPlayPlay exactly! Drew puts out the best content and this vid did NOT disappoint. To this day, my friends and I still fire up Blitz. Its so fun
This was the first game I ever played when i was a 5 or 6 year old kid and I don't remember having to change difficulties or being this bad😂😂😂. Bro did not adapt at all and just kept trying the same stuff till it was 69-0 kinda hilarious ngl
Loved this game back in the 90s/00s. One of the drawbacks I do remember about it though was how blatant the catch-up AI was. If you ever got a 2-3 touchdown lead, the CPU immediately became unstoppable on offense, forced turnovers everywhere, etc.
It does the same thing for the person playing as it does for the computer. That's what made him getting skunked so perplexing. The game cheats to prevent that. Also wants you knew how to play and the appropriate cheat codes blowing out the computer was easy but you should never be blown out.
I watched a buddy get a 100 point halftime lead playing 4 minute quarters and took over for the computer at halftime and won because of the glorious rigged game.
I know the learning curve is extreme, but damn this is hilarious and painful at the same time. I had a hard time initially believing you didn’t play this game, but you definitely proved that! 😂
It's insanely simple and says alot about Drewski that he couldn't be bothered to read/watch ANYTHING. This is why I stop by and watch from time to time, but unsubbed.
Man this just took me back to when my cousin would come stay the weekend at my house we would play 64 all night golden eye, nfl blitz, smash bro laughing and arguing about cheating screen watching who got the broken controller eating junk food this was an awesome throw back
Played the PS1 version endlessly in college, and vividly remember winning a game with a 50-yard Rob Johnson scramble with no time left. (And yes, I used the turbo button.)
Blitz is one of my favorite games from back in the day. I know it’s hard af, but there’s some serious strategy from the playbook. Flea flickers and side passes my man!
This game is awesome. My brother and I played a season a few years ago. One thing that sucks is if you get up by 28 good luck winning after that. The CPU jumps into overdrive and you can't do anything.
Man this old school Falcons team. Chris Chandler, Jamal Anderson, Terrance Mathis!! Childhood right there Also Keith Brooking for some reason returning punts Edit: How could I forget Jessie Tuggle!?!?
I love how you just go into games having never played them before, and are so upfront about it. No practice off screen, basically you just go in blind. I can really feel the "I have never played this game before and have no clue what I'm doing" vibe and it's so fun to watch.

Blitz was so damn fun, played the hell out of it on n64 Ya gotta abuse the no penalties, the flashing players are highlighted recievers, tackle them before they catch the ball! I spammed only 2 plays on offense, da bomb and hail mary, they almost always worked. Gotta qb sneak more, and jump to avoid the diving tackles, the more moves you do (stiff arm, spin, jump) the more likely you are to fumble, so dont spam them. Always go for two, never punt. Blitz 2000 and 2001 were my jam back in the day! The cpu is pretty oppressive, but once you figure it out, its pretty easy to abuse (on medium, hard is insane). Youre right though, its so much more fun with friends having couch competitions, loser hands off controller king of the hill tournaments.
I don’t know what it is about this video, but this was my favorite video you’ve done in a while. Maybe because it felt like this was one of your favorite videos you’ve made in a while, but this was fantastic. Thanks for the laugh!
Oh my god, this was my freaking _jam_ back in the day. My best friend had it, and we used to smoke weed every day before school at his house and play it. We also used to turn off pass interference on games like NFL Quarterback Club and Madden to make them more fun.
Honestly didn’t know anyone has ever punted in NFL blitz. One key to playing defense you missed is that you can knock down the receivers on D. That is so important. It’s also a blast to do
oh this brings back so many good memories. Growing up when these games were new, there were so many insane games me and my friends had. 2 minute quarters with final scores in the triple digits. very good times indeed
Man, the nostalgia trip. I played this game on my PS1 a couple decades ago. If I recall correctly, it felt almost impossible to win the Super Bowl on Season mode. 😅
There’s one offensive play that you can spam and pretty much score every time. It’s been 25 years almost so I’m completely sure if you can just use the Denver bronco playbook or if you have to use the broncos and play with elway. But basically it’s a roll out to the left and you just take off scrambling with elway. I remember thinking how weird it was when elway had 250 yards rushing and 100 yards passing every game. I hope I’m remembering the right game lol it’s been a while. 🤷♂️
This was my favorite and first sports game as a kid! My brother taught me how to play when I was 5 years old. I still play it every year at least a couple times on my PS1
Gotta learn the jump throw. This game almost caused fist fights at Christmas with me and my older cousins. I remember when my cousin close to my age beat his older brother and cousin close to his age. it was a great day.
Never new they had a "2000" edition. But I played the original alot. N like he said it was alot more fun playing against friends cuz the computer was savage. Every game had to be a shoot out. If u scored. Then got the ball back. U would throw an interception first play EVERYTIME. the "glitch" was the running plays (u probably had no idea there were running plays) but u could lateral it to the RB n he could throw a pass. BUT if u just took off wit the RB the computers defense would never have an answer for it. Ik it's a fast paced game but the trick was to slow it down. Run the ball n make drives that eat the clock. But like I said. Once u go up by a 2nd touchdown. The computer is gone pick off yer next pass 100% of the time. Even if it gets tipped 7x. One of their guys is coming down wit it. Still a fun game
You should absolutely play Nfl Blitz pro from ps2 with TO on the cover. This game was legendary. Super fun game modes for endless fun. Goofy teams to go along with the NFL teams (like literal dolphins), and unparalleled commentary from none other than Keegan Michael-Key.
My friend used to have house parties like 4-5 times a week during our summers in college. He had this game in his N64 in the living room , and people would line up to get next. I’d beat about 4-5 people in a row til no one wanted to play Me. So I’d end up somewhere else at the party and would return to another line of people and wait my for my turn and rise repeat cycle.
